Man I want MG and MG2 remade in 3d, holy shit. Especially MG2. Fucking [sp]Zanzibar killer hamsters[/sp] this shit is gold. :excited:
metal gear 2 was way easier to play and feels like a more modern video game
I finished MG a few hours ago and started MG2. Are you referring to the tap codes and the frequency changes?
yeah
Apparently Survive has an alternate ending that I didn't even know about. I wish I knew about it sooner because now if I want that trophy, I have to either delete my save or buy another character slot. spoilers obviously [sp]it's actually the canon ending[/sp]
Has anybody had trouble with doing the base digging offline and having your base get absolutely trashed despite supposedly having more than enough defense on every quadrant? [editline]8th March 2018[/editline]
[sp]it's actually the canon ending[/sp]
[sp]Yeah, I don't remember nanomachine godzilla plopping down out of the sky in 1943 or 1975 in the Metal Gear backstory. I think someone would've had a monologue about that. Maybe because of the time loop, all of the rest of the wandering soldiers you rescue in TPP are Captains who took the home option, but our the Captain is the one who finally succeeded in breaking the loop.[/sp]
Has anybody had trouble with doing the base digging offline and having your base get absolutely trashed despite supposedly having more than enough defense on every quadrant?
I haven't had any issue yet, but I've noticed a few times that my Defense team occasionally, and randomly, dips from C rank to D. When they go to D rank my base loses about 5%-10% of its defensive power and the enemy forces gain about 400% more. Like I saw one time I went from like 12k defense vs 3.2k attackers flip to 10.5k defense vs 12k attackers.

My friend has been doing base digs, and on several of them he's had ridiculous surplus of defense, but when he comes back, literally everything in his base has been destroyed.
[sp]it's actually the canon ending[/sp]
[sp]I wish they didn't imply the Paz photos were actually tangible photos, I always assumed those were just memories that were resurfacing in Big Medic's brain after seeing old Mother Base members.[/sp]
Pretty glad a game had decent [sp]time travel[/sp] it makes sense, you close a [sp]loop[/sp] It kinda reminds me of [sp]Chrono Trigger, but you start at the end of the time to stop an endless loop, where in Chrono Trigger you go through time to eventually go to the starting destruction and prevent it all.[/sp]
it's actually really funny if you think about it, [sp]the whole story is basically about preventing Survive from having anything to do with the Metal Gear franchise.[/sp] even people who hate it should give the writers credit for that
I'm playing mgrr on steam, I heard that the game file size is bloated because the cutscenes are rendered at every resolution. Which files do I have to delete for the only remaining ones to be the 1080p cutscenes?
[t]https://i.imgur.com/ZIJ21dl.jpg[/t][t]https://i.imgur.com/V5hhsad.jpg[/t] Machined out most of the EZ gun! I have the slide finished too, I just have to machine out the back of the frame so it will fit. Trigger and slide are spring loaded, will add in the rest of it/laser sight soon! Still need to do plenty of polishing/sanding on it.
The reflection in the first picture is really freaky. Can't wait to see how it looks after polishing though. Did you ever release the files for the evoker btw?
The reflection in the first picture is really freaky. Can't wait to see how it looks after polishing though. Did you ever release the files for the evoker btw?
All the machine work leaves lines and it reflects in a really cool way, almost don't want to polish some of my props because I dig how it looks. I wired up the laser sight and its read to go, I just need to make the case for it in front. I gave out a less-complicated evoker v1 model for 3d printing a while back to a few people who asked, but not the originals. Its a been a while since anyone has asked. I'll be starting on the CQC knife soon after I finish the EZ gun, I want to make as many mgs props as I can while I have some free time I dressed up as tux big boss to surprise my gf for valentines day, forgot to post [t]https://i.imgur.com/fi36jSi.jpg[/t]
Location of Tiger Stripe camo in MG: Survive, by the way: [t]https://i.imgur.com/zJaNpcG.png[/t] It may please you to know that you need not use any hard-to-find components to unlock it, it just takes 800 Kuban.
9 games yesterday, 3 today... all games were last wave disconnections. Not one game was finished completely. 12 games worth of loot lost, getting a net loss of my materials from repairs/crafting. Completely lost the will to even continue playing until they fix this.

But that's just me.
I'm convinced that the Geist P30 is the only epic weapon in the game right now. I've gotten three epic items so far and all three of them were geists. Also, holy shit the repair costs on the epic stuff is ridiculous, and the durability on them goes down extremely fast, so only use them if you have to.

I finally 100%ed the Afghanistan map. What am I doing with my life? [t]https://i.imgur.com/30xl9hV.png[/t]
join the survive discord, get a premade group, abandon as soon as you get s rank. no disconnects.
Tried the request withdrawal theory with the group, still disconnected. But I retract my statement when I don't get the loot/kuban, they just don't show up as new blips on the inventory. I'm just not given a victory lap after the win, oh well.
I finally 100%ed the Afghanistan map. What am I doing with my life? [t]https://i.imgur.com/30xl9hV.png[/t]
I see i'm not the only one missing 2 squares at the southwest blockade. Good to know they don't count for completion though.
That little oversight bugs me way more than it should, but at least I still get completion, just as you said.
Yeah, airport is great because the digger is on top of the building. The zombies have pretty shitty pathfinding and have a hard time getting up there. Usually, it's just the mortar guys you gotta watch out for.
You can also block whichever building entrance they come through with fences, place a line of MG turrets behind it (Along with two or three air cannons to blast bombers that get too close away from the fence) and you can ride out pretty much the whole thing without firing a shot. It's the perfect chokepoint. With that done, you want to have your manpower focus on protecting the auxiliary diggers instead.
Apparently if you place wooden watchtowers directly under the wormhole spawn points, they really fuck wanderers up. I saw some guy do it, and they were dying pretty much immediately or at least losing a lot of health.

I guess I should have gone with my gut that it was someone else though.
