new items I haven't seen. those pants with the metal codpiece remind me of some other outfit but I can't place them
I think that metal cod piece might be inspired by the frog unit from mgs 4? At least thats what it reminds me of
Shesh the new daily is hard, these enemies just wont die.
If it's your first time with the series you really should start with mgs1 and continue in release order.
watch MG1 and 2 stories on yt tho
watch MG1 and 2 stories on yt tho
Or read the 'previous story' stuff in mgs1.
thats not how intellectuals do it

Could be the Skulls costume.

Skulls and skulls costume never had those kinds of legs tho

tbh it looks like MGR Raiden's well shaped thighs.
Yo, HUGE spoilers ahead.

Had this happen to me right around the end of a normal match.
The gold bands are used in a few suits, but never with a codpiece like that. I wonder if it's 100% new content.

Is this what you get when you use the drill to call reinforcements?

So are the wormholes [sp] sucking in shit from across different time periods too then [/sp]?

I just did a little bit of testing, and the heavy support weapon at the call support tab or whatever at the drill brings that guy into the game.
Is this what you get when you use the drill to call reinforcements?
yes, you call in the tactical heavy weapon in the tactical support menu for the drill.
costs 100k kuban on normal, 200k on hard.
And here I was hoping it was something special.

99% sure this one is an actual shitty Raiden cosplay.

same sinewy things across the thighs, same weird disc things at the hips, same robo-codpiece. but at the same time the positioning of these things is a little off and it looks like some stuff, like the knees, is just painted on.
I thought "Interceptor Units" where like Gun Drones or something automated. No, just turrets you need to man and other traps.
I have a funny feeling the Meta will end up being Melee hip, LMG Back and Pistol and Shotgun for small arms. Kinda wish there was melee weapons for that pistol slot.
so the psn trophies are up and it sort of spoils an enemy we haven't seen yet (and also the return of another)

spoilers obviously if you care about it.
[sp]Rex?![/sp]
[editline]18th February 2018[/editline]
Oh no wait, that's [sp]Sahelanthropus[/sp]

And then we get [sp]Rex, instead of Sally[/sp]
so I'm dangerously close to buying survive and to give myself a little respite I checked if it had any preorder bonuses´

they're total shit so I won't feel too bad about waiting until reviews and maybe even first-week sales hit.
I feel really tempted to try this beta, but is there a solo component? I'd rather play alone since I doubt I''ll have anybody to play with even if I liked it.
I dunno have I said this here but they really should have had named it something like "Metal Gear Zurvive" even though that would sound dumb, because then it would be MGZ and not MGS.
economically it's better to build a machine gun then ammo, i hope they tweak it.
Whats more painful is how slow it is to craft ammo, compared to Arrows. Each cycle is like... 2/3 rounds? Why do i have to hold down confirm for crafting ammo? Just let me select how much ammo i want and build it within the one cycle. Meanwhile, Arrows are like, 10 to 8 per cycle.
Flaming Arrows are solid enough to warrent carrying a bow until something better comes along. And they don't seem like they are too expensive to make. Feels easier to bring out the bow than throw a molotov.
The melee weapons outclass guns in the beta too. I always just end up using my back melee weapon + pistol for too distant enemies or shooting the legs out from under a bomber that I can't get to before it'd be in range for a teammate to blow up all of the defenses with and the shotgun for the bouncy guys

Again, another case where pc should really be able to just type the number they want.
it makes sense in terms of crafting during a mission, but not when you're restocking in the lobby.
The main thing I'm worried about is the hunger/thirst mechanic. From what I've seen, it's pretty brutal, and I just hope there's some upgrade you can get that makes it bearable.

It seems so pointless to me. It drains so quick because you weigh more, and you weigh more because the mission is harder and you need to bring more stuff, and being hungry and thirsty makes it even harder, and there's no reliable way to get water other than hoping you acquire it as a reward, and dirty water is too risky to use. I feel like it'd be better if it just didn't exist. Same with 'diseases'. They should make the downsides like puking up every minute or only have 70% of your stamina as a mission modifier rather than something that happens when you drink water or get hit by an enemy.

In the full game you can probably build a water pump/purifier to bring clean water into the multiplayer. Still pretty annoying.
Also, I'm not sure If I'm imagining it, but it seems like this game follows MGS3 rules, where wearing nothing makes you hungry and thirsty faster than wearing clothes.
This game is fun, but the matchmaking is awful. Either no one is playing, or I do get people and it disconnects when the lobby starts
what have i done

for real though i have been having a blast playing this with some friends, really curious as to what they do with the story
