waiting on my key from gmg
waiting on my key from gmg
how much did you get it for from there
okay yeah time to head to refund city
Wonder if people are going to review bomb the actual game too. 'cause boy o' boy, I can't wait for all of those less than a hour played reviews.
I didn't even think you could review if you had under two hours of playtime.
one of the negative reviews was only complaining about the lack of content. in beta.
most of the negative attention ive seen has either been "fuck konami, where is kojima???" and things that were issues with V which were somehow acceptable then but not now (menus being the main thing, under-represented gameplay mechanics as another). i went to a random video of an impressions of the beta, skipped to a random point and the dude was screaming about kojima there are legitimate issues with the game (which will probably be sorted by having an actual introduction rather than dumping you in) but going in with a hate boner is just going to sour any fun you might have had. i went into the beta wanting to see how it would be even with all the drama surrounding it, so in other words i went in with low expectations and was legit surprised with the quality of it, due to that im going into the game with the same view on the story since its seemingly actually canon and might connect to the older games better than 5s shitty attempt did im not expecting anything superb, 5 already left a hugely sour taste in my mouth, but im expecting to have fun [editline]19th February 2018[/editline] oh yeah the tonne of people who think this is the entire game and have ignored every single bit of media covering the singleplayer, and the fact that therel be a heap more modes and items in the full game for mp
Just to dampen your enthusiasm for a second, but Salvage is the only mode in Metal Gear Survive's Multiplayer (You can check this on the official website) - At launch. The Devs have hinted that they'd like to add more and some kind of PvP mode if the game does well enough to justify the whole "Games as a Service" continual update lifecycle. But yes to the fact it has a robust singleplayer and a hell of a lot more content to it than what we got in these few maps. Some of the stuff I've seen leaked from the SP looks interesting as hell, and the whole plot is just vaguely reminiscent of Half-Life (parallel worlds, portal/wormhole shenanigans, [sp]shady research organisations attempting to establish quasi-military beachheads in said other dimensions[/sp]) enough to tickle my nostalgia boner in all the right places
yeah meant maps instead of mode really, was separating the difficulties into different modes for some reason in my head meant to say that there wont just be 5 available salvage missions n shit like the beta
Oh yeah, I mean that is obvious from a 5-second glance at the mission list because the two areas in the beta are Area 1 and Area 3, which supposes therefore that there is at the very least an Area 2, so at least one other map, and I think we can count on there being more than three.
Damn, I seriously can't get a 4 player game in normal mode. Tried 4 hours ago as well and only saw 1 other dude.

I've played the game in the beta just feels really weird. It's been a while since a game just throws out so many elements at me without explaining them in a helpful manner, so my very first experience was defending that digger thing with just a spear and pistol, and figuring out how to craft fences too late to actually save the darn thing from being under attack. I did figure out early to pick up almost everything though, but I dunno, it just felt.. Circular? Every time I failed a defense on the easiest setting, the resources I earned on that failed run would contribute to the defense on the next one, until I started going for the secondary objectives, and found out how helpful they are. That walker gear pretty much is what made me finally succeed the easiest mission after the third attempt I think? I did that and I felt relieved, but now it just feels like I'll move up difficulties and probably repeat the cycle. I don't really know what I should be building, or doing for myself. Again, there is so much stuff and it goes all bare-minimum explanation, I don't know if anything I'm doing is right or not. Was it awful? No, I think it might have some merit somewhere, but I think after it leaves Beta, I don't see myself buying it for a very, very long time. There were definitely some negatives. Despite MGSV's controls on mouse and keyboard being very manageable, Survive seems to have thrown that out the window and it was a chore navigating the UI even after checking what was mapped where. I even burned myself with my own molotovs trying to figure out how to use the damn things. Also, MGSV also had some pretty good optimization, but Survive, despite not really stretching any sort of graphical barriers, manages to run worse. It must be all that mist and stuff.
Has anybody experienced any crashes with MGS2 on ps3? Every time I go into the credits the game crashes, thus making it impossible to actually beat the game. I have no idea what's causing it, my disc is pristine.
it took me way too long to realize that withdrawing still gives you your ranks rewards so there doesnt seem to be any reason to continue after S rank since you still get S rank rewards or am i missing something here
getting more points above S gets you more crafting loot
Im getting conflicting information on the release date. Is it coming out on Tuesday or Thursday? Why are games coming out in awkward days all the sudden? Shadow of the Colossus came out on Wednesday of all things.
it was supposed to have been out on tuesday the 20th, but it looks like the steam page pushed it back to wednesday the 21st.

i hope that people living in europe dont have to wait 2 extra days....well 1 and a half days but still

Such as the Oil traps.
Thank you, game, for obscuring a third of my screen constantly to remind me of the resources I gathered 15 seconds ago
Playing Metal gear survive just made me want Peace walker remastered for PC or something. Like peace walkers coop is such stupid fun I wish it was a part of the base MGS5 experience. Imagine cardboard box races, man.

I'd love a standalone MGO2 for PC.
Welp, apparently I can't play yet. When I load up the game, it says an update is required to start playing. I'm not getting any updates when I check for an update, so I guess it's fucked for now? Always online at it's finest, folks.
its legit isnt out yet lol.
It just released in NA on PS4 [editline]20th February 2018[/editline] Update available now 3.4 GB
I feel like a huge idiot. All these years I've played MGS2 and I never knew you could block pretty much every single attack from Solidus. Completely changes the fight.
If i was to buy Survive on the American PSN store using an alt, would i be able to play it on my main EU/UK account? Trying to figure this out because it's bullshit i have to wait 2 days more just to play this otherwise, and today and tomorrow are perfect because i'm not working for a change.
Confirmation of PC release date for those interested - 1600 PST 21st Feb. https://steamcommunity.com/app/543900/discussions/0/2860219962101972571/
Regarding future content updates* February - Launch Celebration Login Bonus (from Feb 23) March - Adding a new difficulty level for Daily Missions (Hard) - Adding a new difficulty level for Weekly Missions (Hard) - Adding a new type of mission in CO-OP - Adding a new event: CO-OP mission with a new rule - Adding the possibility to change some of the in-game controls - Changing the personal score calculation so it takes the digger acceleration into account
Wording here seems to suggest that the rumour mill was right and new co-op game modes/mission types will be added post-launch with the first one coming in March.
More ways to tailor controls the better, didn't honestly expect happening so wow.
That should be a thing for launch.
By the time that's available, I'll probably be so used to the current controls that I won't want to change them.
