Funny you say that when Hi-rez just nerfed a character that didn't need to be nerfed (Grover) and are considered buffing characters that don't need to buffed (Cassie and Androxus)

I haven't really involved myself into Paladins' meta enough to really know where the balance lies, so that's interesting to know.

Grover receiving a nerf is probably related to low play (where people choose aggression as the "best" red card). Cauterize is basically the direct counter to grover, and how well he does can be seen as loosely related to how many people have it. Level 3 caut can basically shut down his ultimate. Similarly, cassie and androxous have a higher skill floor, and suffer in lower skill level games.
I suspect if Hi-Rez shifts focus to higher skill level for balancing we'll see the changes reversed.

I ulted, got two kills, jumped onto point. Suddenly I hear the "ult fully charged" sound effect, and I just ult again, killing off the last guy on the point.

I've actually seen that bug happen in other games. Stuff like Makoa and Cassie ulting again after they die.
No idea what causes it though.

I just played again yesterday and the new archer dude is horrible.
I still did pretty well with him but in comparison to how fast paced the game is, his bow is too slow to compete, not to mention you can't snipe as well with it.
