Wow, I never realized how "future-looking" Buck's armor looked. Was this a complete remodel or just changing his armor bits?
It's a full remodel.
Default (0.35) - Default (0.36) - Brawler (0.36)

Kind of prefer the old head, but everything else looks better.
Why the fuck do I have to wait 12 god damn seconds to respawn when the enemy is extremely close to getting the payload to the point? You're only punishing the people who are already getting their asses kicked. 5-6 seconds would be reasonable. 3-4 seconds would be great. 12 fucking seconds to respawn when the enemy is close to making that final push is a fucking joke. I've now lost 2 rounds because of it. It's fucking bullshit :tableflip:
Because reducing the respawn timer based on how close the enemy team is to winning would be a completely unnecessary extension of the round.
If you're losing that badly anyways, it's very unlikely that respawning a bit faster is going to help you win.

I love how they took components from his old model and turned it into a skin.
I love how they took components from his old model and turned it into a skin.
As far as I know, it's common practice when a character gets a new model that changes their appearance that much, to give people a skin that resembles the old model.
Or, at least, Riot does it a lot.
See: Trundle, Sejuani, Karma, and sort of Lee Sin(who got a "traditional" skin for an appearance that existed for him only in old teasers, when they were just joking about the idea of a blind monk champ).
I love how they took components from his old model and turned it into a skin.
They seem to have also given it for free to anyone who owned buck before the update went out, which is nice.
That's odd. I got Buck with the Commando Skin Code and I didn't get the Brawler Skin for free.

good change. i never understood those cyber bits of armor
[editline]28th October 2016[/editline]
overwatch has a lot of those too, and it just comes off as a really lazy way of trying to make things look futuristic. the new armor is a lot more consistent with his design

It fits with Overwatch more, since the setting is more futuristic; Paladins is grounded in fantasy, though, what with the giant living/talking bomb/tree/turtle, the elf ladies, and the goblinoids.

And the dragon with a rocket launcher and the knight with an energy shield and the soldier with an assault rifle and orbital bombardment goggles
And the dragon with a rocket launcher and the knight with an energy shield and the soldier with an assault rifle and orbital bombardment goggles
Yeah, but it's still got way more fantasy shit than Overwatch, which has absolutely none.
Wasn't one of Paladins' "plot points" that they use magic to make future-like technology?
Wasn't one of Paladins' "plot points" that they use magic to make future-like technology?
It turns out Viktor's gun is actually firing Magic Missiles.
Bombard being magic is hardly a surprise, considering it works indoors and is more like 3 fireballs being thrown out than 3 bombs being dropped from above.
So Bomb King's moreso a Golem then a Robot by that logic then.
Remember that Bolt was the soul of an ancient Elven king inside a sword before Ruckus stole it and used it to make his mech.

There use to be snippets on the website when the game first became playable, but it seems as though they have been removed. You can still find them on the wiki for first couple of characters though.
I wish people would realise that two supports isn't all that great, considering how strong cauterize is.
I still think the optimal layout is 2 FLs, Support, and either 2 Damage (1 direct and 1 aoe) or 1 Damage and 1 Flanker (preferably with opposite attack types)
I agree. You really need at least two frontliners in case one of them dies to hold the line until they can come back, and two FLs are really good at holding a point in general. Two supports isn't enough damage unless you get a really good pip or something.
I'd say that if you're gonna have 2 supports, you should take Pip. Mal, Ying, and Grover are a lot more heal focused, so stacking them will have diminishing returns once the Cauterizes start rolling in.
Grohk's not a bad second support either, but I'd prefer Pip because his ultimate is better suited.
I really wish they'd fix the audio stutters already, especially with Ruckus. I have to mute the game just to make it playable :c

I know it fits, I just don't think there's enough of an effort to mesh the character themes with the futuristic ones. Reinhardt is an example of that meshing done well, but McCree is a very lazy design. You could stick his body armor or robot arm on any other character with, at most, a small change in the color palette, and it wouldn't look too out of place. Nothing about that part of his design is at all related to his themes or backstory, it's just tacked on with zero substance behind it.
(I don't want to turn this into the Overwatch hate thread or anything. I know it's easy to come off as a fanboy given the context, but I can assure you I disliked OW's character design long before I even knew Paladins existed)

Summary: Some current maps getting balance tweaks, new maps in the works, more changes to Best in Class and Top Plays screens, sprays, and a new hero tease. (More traditional bow and arrow character.)
There are also rumors that Cassie will be changed to use a crossbow now to better represent her skills.

hey this was a lot more professional and less cringey than i expected
He overall seems like a better Kinessa (Not that hard to be honest lol) and will still have all the weaknesses that she has (FLANKS). I think he'll be an overall solid champ, but nothing too overwhelming.
Though he might have the same problem as Anubis from Smite has, where he (A squishy character) has to stand still to deal most of his damage. I can see his Q being his weakest link. On top him having very limited and situational CC (That knock back is almost nothing), I can see him being #2 on the Flank menu. (Kinessa being #1)

Yeah, they've been doing patch notes like this for about a year and half now. Much better than the days of Bart and Kelly talking into a webcam for 5 mins about a single bug fix.

Now THAT'S the problem! He's a BETTER Kinessa! And kinessa is the easiest sniper of any videogame with huge damage in no time! She's one of the most ANNOYING character in this game because of her sniper. Fuck sniper in videogame. She's literally took the place of Widowmaker in the "Easiest sniper of all time" category

Kinessa is a long way from being good, and is routinely placed as one of the low tier heros in the game that ultimately is very pick dependent.
Second, there are mechanic differences between him and kinessa, most notable of which are a non-hitscan weapon, drop, and non-scope.
