I've been hearing bad things about Wander's face in the remake, ranging from having a "waxy" face model, missing facial animations, and even missing the [sp]progressive paleness/veininess[/sp] in the second half of the game. Can anyone comment on this? It's not a deal breaker by any means but it's disappointing if true, considering the level of detail in Wander's face in the original
He looks much more like a child in the remake, and the skin on his face is a bit waxy.

I really don’t like his new face
He still has the corruption looking stuff on his face and clothes as you go on.
How the fuck do you beat the 11th Colossus? I know I gotta pick up the torch but HOW when I go to it and press R1 or O all he does is duck roll or uses his sword to "find" the colossus animation. And if you're not super fast the colossus just beats you down and you take so long to get back up you can never get a second chance half the time.

Okay, it's R2 not R1 despite what everything online says. Maybe because it's not the PS2 version.
FUCK that boss fight. That was the worst most bullshit one. It was only hard because the camera angle FREAKS out when you climb the pillars and the time it takes between him hitting the thing and recovering is small as hell and you miss your jumps onto OR most likely is you land on him but he the angle is SLIGHTLY off as your stabs don't do shit.

You should just be able to crouch and pick it up. Then, [sp]use the torch to make him back up off the ledge, but DON'T go down after him, because he will wreck your shit and it's a pain in the ass to get back up.[/sp]
Not sure if anyone in here is actually interested in the FF7 remake, but I came across this:
Final Fantasy VII Remake Changed Cloud’s Design, Nomura Says It Is Closest To The Original
Those who attended the Final Fantasy series’ 30th anniversary exhibition got a first look at new screenshots for Final Fantasy VII Remake along with a surprise appearance from director Tetsuya Nomura. [Thanks, Game Jouhou, @monoyu_ka, @rikuka_tw.]
While there aren’t any images for us to look at, as the screenshots were shown exclusively for those who attended the event, fans were able to share some details from the talk event along with what they saw from the screenshots.
According to some of the fans in attendance, there’s been a change in Cloud’s design. According to development leader Naoki Hamaguchi, this new design was said to have finally got the go-ahead from director Tetsuya Nomura. While it’s been a struggle for the team, the hard work appears to have paid off as Tetsuya Nomura went as far as acknowledging it as “the closest one to the original [Cloud design] up until now.]
A fan attendance described Cloud’s new design as a more natural look. Nomura and Hamaguchi mentioned that “while Cloud may look this way, he was a dork. I believe those of you who played the the original would understand what I mean by saying he’s a dorky character.” That said, we’ll see more of the youthful side of Cloud rather than the always-serious one we’ve seen more outside of the original game.
The four screenshots also showed other members of AVALANCHE, and one fan described Biggs as “super handsome,” Wege as “refreshingly chubby,” and Jessie as “cute!”
Unfortunately for the rest of us, since the images were shown only behind closed doors, those who attended mentioned that Square Enix won’t be sharing the screenshots to the public for a while.
Final Fantasy VII Remake is in development for PlayStation 4.
Sounds promising that they're not going to make him into an edgelord like he was in previous cameos.
...Man in the SOTC remake, I keep fining shit like trees clipping into shrines EVERYWHERE, like they just spammed a placement tool after they were done with the level geometry
I just beat SoTc remake. Having never played the originals, I thought it was great. I own the PS3 and PS2 ones I just didn't get around to trying them before the PS4 one released.
It'll be interested to retry them games in their original form one day.

is it worth trading for a pro? id have to pay about £200 ontop of my ps4
i dont have 4k but there are other advantages to the pro arnt there?
that MHW screenshot looks weird
The only other advantage the pro has is higher framerate, but you may want to check which games you have really benefit from it. There are some games that get a boost to fps, but not 60.
they added supersampling recently didnt they?
I'm waiting till E3, I think a price job is coming. I have a full 4k setup so I'm waiting.
It's really fucking weird how Nomad Colossus has been entirely silent now that the remake is out and there actually is another secret, AFTER the new one
Are certain PS3 models more valuable? I notice that fat PS3's are being sold for 70-90 euro while PS3 Super Slim (last gen PS3) are 20-30 euro.
I happen to have a fat PS3 as well but might wanna sell it for super slim PS3 because of the rather massive power consumption difference

Fats are backwards compatible with ps2 games, that's why.

I thought that was disabled by software? Wonder how easy it is to remove that restriction

There's a currently unpatched USB-only hack to downgrade any fat PS3 for custom firmware. It's guaranteed to work with fats (only some slims are compatible, and no super slims) so that's possibly why.

As far as I know pretty easy. Sony made a software emu for the PS2 after removing hardware BC and I think with custom firmware you can run it on any console.
It just infuriates me that I can't just play PS2/3 games on my PS4. Was about to make pics to sell my PS3 but I noticed MGS4 and as it happens there is no way to play MGS4 on the PS4. As for Killzone and God of War i can play those on PS Now.
Meanwhile Xbox One lets lets you put any (if they are compatible) Xbox 360 and Xbox games in its disc tray and will let you download the game for free on your Xbox One.
Anyway, might sell my PS3 now and get a PS3 (super) slim somewhere down the line so I can finish Killzone 2 and 3.
Just got this email:

:bullshit:
Hopefully it means they can put the savings towards better PS4 games. LOL!
Speaking of which, Bloodbourne and Ratchet and Clank are next months games. Not bad at all.
I actually meant to pick up Ratchet & Clank, so that's awesome. And Bloodborne is so freaking good, grab it if you don't already have it folks!

Legend of Kay for PS3, too. :v: Good month.
Don't care that much tbh, as long the trade in is more PS4 games. We are talking about at least 12 more months of games for PS3/Vita anyway.
Some friends of mine gifted me a phisical copy of the remastered Shadow of the Colossus, and suffice to say I'm having a field day with it.
By the way, it appears that a recent system update introduced some sort of supersampling mode for the PS4 Pro.
Did someone take the time to test it out and see if it really makes a difference, visuals-wise?
I've also some concerns about how the mode could have a negative impact on framerate

Okay so my OG PS4 is dropping the wifi and reconnect right afterwards. Before you say "wired" I know, that's not the point right now, it's that it never use to happen. The rest of my house is fine.
Any idea?

Is your console dusty? Mine had that problem a while ago and I just used a vacuum cleaner on all the ports. It sucked out a huge clump of dust I couldn't see and the wifi connection was perfect after that.

Good idea I'll try that. It sits in a entertainment center be itself so maybe

Nevermind that shit, you can now hide all of those shit demos and free PS Plus games from your purchased tab in the library. I’ve literally cut down my purchased section by half and it’s so pleasing.

I have a PS4 Pro and I wanted to try it, but it wouldn’t let me select it as my TV is 4K (although of course, many PS4 games are still 1080p). Does the PS4 automatically upscale content for 4K TVs? Or does the existing boost mode already do that? Apparently my TV does automatic upscaling itself, so that might be a factor.
