the falcon has 110mm pen APDS rounds you cheeky shit
It gets its' 110mm pen rounds in a single belt, of which it's 1 in 4. It also has three crew and non-existent armor. Meanwhile the GAZ's crew are out in the open. :v:
i still want 88 half tracks
I remember in red orchestra ost there was a tank combat map with pak 40s on halftracks, and I absolutely wrecked with them. Would be cool to see some tank destroyer halftracks.
i still want 88 half tracks
What BR would you put them at where they would be balanced though? Put them too high and everything destroys them no problem because no armour, put them too low and they wreck everything because 88.

They should throw in the Deacon as the next TD truck
what russian tanks are you playing? because I'm sorry pound for pound the russians wipe the floor with the germans at rank 1 and 2
This is really belated so I doubt it'll affect anything now, but I was mainly playing the T-34s. It might just be that our teams were just awful 4/5 times, because of EU servers that are populated by Russian mouth breathers. I did have a better performance later as a Russian tanker by playing far more cautiously, but I still got rekt compared to the few times that I went German.
I just played Germans for the tank event. We wiped the floor with the Russians every time. The problem I was seeing was that due to having better tanks, the Russians became waaay too over confident and kept charging alone and getting themselves needlessly killed. If they set up more ambushes in the back alleys and played more defensively they might have negated the German numerical superiority.

I often found myself as a Russian holding back and finding that eight of our tanks would just die immediately because they charged forwards, often leaving me and maybe one other tank alone because those who died couldn't respawn.
Mikkel had a pretty fast turn-around from "I accept Era V for what it is and am enjoying it" to "fuck this, fuck that, fuck everything - I'm done. done. out. peace." So if anyone else here who know well enough wants to take my account for a ride, PM or get me on Steam or something.
Germans have the definite upper hand in this event. The T28s are dangerous because of their large crews, but overall I'd give this event to Fritz.

The cannon iggyshiggyshack and Zis-30/BT-7 are pretty dastardly. It's definitely a struggle at close range though, gotta say. If you can keep yourself like 3-400 meters from the germans though, their first/second shot hit probability is absolute dogshit with those stubby 75mms. good luck hitting a moving target at more than like 200 meters with that gun [editline]13th April 2016[/editline] of course all the dumb motherfuckers on the Russian side just charge right into the city and get their shit mauled by HEAT rounds so yeah, good thing this event isnt win based.
ZiS-30 you say? That free talisman I got last night is gonna come in handy. [editline]a[/editline] HNNNNNG T-35, aw ye.
HNNNNNG T-35, aw ye.
less good than you might think against the hordes of PzIVs and Stug As HEAT shells cook off ammo veeeeeery easily [editline]13th April 2016[/editline] ZIS on the other hand is actually pretty durable hull down, the gun shield isnt even thick enough to trigger the APHE rounds, and the HEAT shells just laser through it like APCR
I've actually been having quite good success with the T-35, even though I shouldn't be; minimal ammo loadout (practically nothing for the 76) and just using the 45s to snipe shit while my 100-man crew acts as infinite lives.
Did they just nerf ALL rp gain across the board? apparently aircraft and tanks get the same RP now. Gaijin you cunts. :(

347 ping, 31% packet loss. Great server gaijin.

War Thunder GF is a surefire way of raising one's blood pressure.

Welp, more waiting in queue. [editline]14th April 2016[/editline] [del]Wait, why the fuck is the Dicker Max in a WW2 Chronicles event? Wasn't it only a prototype?[/del] Ignore me, I'm an ignorant hick.
https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/308879-special-event-series-chronicles-of-world-war-ii/page-65#entry6051721 Vehicle limits in events praise the lord Germany gets every Dickermax ever built in this battle
wait the SU-100Y actually saw combat??? [editline]14th April 2016[/editline]
It did not see service before the end of the war but was brought into use in the Second World War in defence of Moscow.
well no shit
Nobody knows what it actually did though.
I am going to assume it was used as an artillery piece because it was an artillery gun. Pretty much every Soviet prototype was used to fire at something because the frontline was right on their doorstep. Three I-185 prototypes saw combat outside of Leningrad though it's not recorded if they actually killed anything For the Moscow event there should only be one Dicker Max though, the first one suffered a fire and detonated its ammo before the winter
Lose a Dicker Max and Pz III J1 in the event, all other tanks are unavailable next attempt because I left combat too early even though I literally couldn't spawn another tank. 100% quality Gaijin approved :goodjob:
So, my new found love is... Hs.129B-3 in combined battles. It's the only thing that ground forces is good for, removing kebab. I'm feeling a quack montage coming.
wait the SU-100Y actually saw combat???
According to sekrit documints xaxaxaxa there was a prototype built and it supposedly fought during the Siege of Moscow.
According to sekrit documints xaxaxaxa.
If it was built to the point of functioning and was in Germany/Russia, you can almost bet good money it saw some sort of combat somewhere. That includes weird shit like The T-100 and SMK (both in Finland), Emil and potentially even (super light/questionable documentation) a VK4502 of some make. The only one I can recall off the top of my head that they never bothered with after building was the NbFz because it was utter interwar dogshit meant for parades. UK and US didn't bother shipping the damn things over if they didn't trust them, and Japan is just lol.
