Tierless guns make any vehicle fun. I occasionally seem Sturmpanzer IIs in 8.0 matches and while they're mostly useless because they get gutted by planes and KVPT 14.5mms, occasionally one deletes a T-10M from across the map and it's delicious.

I'm finding myself playing more and more RB, its a bit of a difficulty cliff at first and I'm still a wretched bomber pilot, but it gets better once you figure out the basics of not dying in RB

I always keep a few eagles handy just to throw one or two down whenever the game pulls this shit with vehicles or modules that I've spent ages grinding for
It's really not that big of a deal to justify wasting eagles on it imo.
I see the lighter side of that and look forward to unlocking something no matter how bad I do in the next match, and any research left over goes directly to the next vehicle you want so it still feels like progress.

I do.
I almost immidietly bought a talisman for it. If that gives you an idea how good it is.
It rapes everything, from King Tigers to T-54s(IS-6s too).
My offhand matches with it confirmed it's basically an American King Tiger, but slightly better.
The lack of APHE is offset by the absurd modifier to high-caliber AP damage. And it swaps the KT's turret weakspots and undeddable hull in reverse - the turret mostly being a bunker frontally, but the hull being thin (and the LFP being death.)
What I haven't gotten to do (nor do I have APCR for it) is find a King Tiger or T-54 1947 to see if the solid AP can go through the UFP or not.

The AP round can go through KTs UFP but only under ideal circumstances(It's on flat terrain, close and not angled).
As for T-54 '47(or any of them for that matter), don't bother with UFP. Go for the mantlet if you have to engage head on, BUT the moment a T-54 angles it's hull if only slightly, shoot the side plates. You will overmatch and it will go through annihilating the dirty commie.

Well, there's two versions of the 165mm L9. If they wanted to get into prototypes and more concept-y designs, there's chieftain and conqueror AVRE. If they were doing paper tanks, there are a number of prototypes and designs which considered a similar gun as it's main use.

Which one.
There's the 290mm spigot mortar.
There's the 165mm (6.5")
There's the 7.5" (190mm).
And then there's the 300mm recoilless rifle.
When I first started grinding US tanks, I had one tank in mindthat I wanted to get: the M103.
And today, after many hours and one talisman for T34 later, I finally got it.
I like it so far. It's has a strange playstyle, it's like an IS-3 that you can't be braindead to drive.

The 103's biggest danger is that it has the same hideously weak sides and can't stand up to HESH/HEAT at all. Frontally it does better than the M60, but worse than the M60A1.
The new AP mechanics mean it's likely not hell stock. Prior, you'd pen a T-54 and turn two crew members funny colors and nothing else with AP.

Gaijin copied the A33 armour layout and characteristics from world of tanks, or used the same incorrect sources. The tank should have a number of improvements made to what is going to be implemented.
