You think that's bullshit? I, to this day, have not been able to kill lightly-armored or open-topped vehicles with [I]cannon-equipped aircraft[/I] despite landing a majority of the shots fired in AB.
Same here, i'm pouring 20mm mixed belts into the heads of exposed crewmen and "hit" is the only thing that happens, and the timer for bombs forces you to kamikaze people to actually kill them if you don't have rocket
I've found that diving as close to perpendicular as possible helps when killing open top vehicles like the wirbelwind/hellcat/etc. that have slight amounts of armor around them.

Carefully. Bit too general of a question to get into in detail.
Use AB to get a feel for the controls and mechanics, where to shoot and how tough things are, etc.
Move to RB when you're comfortable, if you want something a little less Arcadey.

So I decided to finally update my War Thunder (it's been quite a while since I last played), but I can't login to my account. First I tried to reset my password which was really annoying as War Thunder didn't let me change my email, so I had to dig up my old email first and try dozens of different passwords before I finally got in. Then when I tried to finally login with the new password I got greeted with a Google Authenticator verification code. The thing is that I have NEVER linked my Google Account to War Thunder nor even touched the app. Could it be a bug or has some other dude stolen my account or smt?
I send them email about the issue and now I'm just waiting for their reply. I'll be fucking mad if I can't get my stuff back.

I lost Google authenticator through being careless and nuking my phone, thinking the auth for that will be on the Google account rather than the phone but guess what! Yeah. I wrote to the support and they removed the Google auth by the third day.
They will just ask you for some info, the most important of which is recent payment history, if you had any - that really makes it easiest for them as that kind of info is kinda hardest to figure out for hijacker.

speaking of, playing tank RB has made me appreciate how much more valid 12.7mm guns are in RB vs AB. in AB cannons seem to reign absolutely supreme and planes just soak up bullets like no one's business, but in RB a well-placed burst of MG fire is usually more than enough to take a plane down. its nice.

I've been taking the Hetzer out for a spin recently; its fantastic!
But I also discovered one of the biggest gaijin F'ups ever with the damage model, those little bumps either side of the front of the chassis. If a shell goes in it ignores ALL side armour of the vehicle even when it exits the other side of the bump.

Looks like I might have a reason to reinstall this game then.
Holding my judgement until I see some actual gameplay of it. My prediction is that everyone playing as huge targets that are too slow to dodge incoming fire and too fat to fit behind cover will get old really quick
