Tank tasks, just use the Sherman Jumbo or the KV2, play RB. Easy 6 kills, easy 2000 points. The battle victories or supporting fires then come naturally as you just play.

I do fine, but I just can't help but get utterly shite teams
So I haven't played this game in months Did they ever fix the thing where the game drops a full second of frames every few seconds when a flightstick is plugged in or are they still just ignoring the fact that the most common controllers on the market are incompatible with their game? The ones in particular that I have and that don't work are the Logitech Extreme 3d Pro and the Thrustmaster T.16000M HOTAS. Last time I tried the game with them was sometime in the spring, so doubt it would have been fixed by now especially since the problem has been around for years. Just supremely disappointed that I couldn't partake in this wonderful salty grindfest with anything but a mouse...

I will suggest using something else than the KV1B-756, since German 5.0 is pretty fucking cancerous due to the fact it faces T-34/85s all the time, and it just can't compete. My German lineup for these events have been 4.3, focused around the KV2 and various Pz IVs. Works well for me.
Ok so the G.91 was unfun garbage but the F84G is hilariously strong this feels like bullying

Except, of course, the huge disadvantage it put me in compared to mouse and keyboard.
Logitech Extreme 3d Pro
Yeah, i have no idea what you're on about, i used mine many times before, and it worked just fine. However, i had to deal with a problem where my control scheme kept resetting if i left a controller in. No idea what the hell that was about, but it sure taught me to back up the config if i had to tamper with anything.

They probably fixed the issue with it if nobody else is having it, which is good since that seems to be the most common flightstick used today.
PSA tho, you can get a time-limited decal for getting 20 kills in this little rascal.
Not seeing anything about that. Got a link?
It's Ruskie. You can check Achievements, Achievements, Special in the tabs. You can also just get it with 30 caps in USSR tanks. I do fine, but I just can't help but get utterly shite teams
I've been using the BR 4.3 Panzer IVs and wirbelwind for doing the tasks in arcade. It kind of works. That way you don't face the stupid BR 6.7 stuff if you go tiger, or the stupid t-34-85s as often if you run KV1B. My main source of fun in this game is using the puma and the sturmpanzer, both of which cannot do the monthly tasks required to get the second puma. This mission is just killing my will to live. But i can't give up. The possibility of having a second puma gives me hope.
I personally use 4.3 set up as Germans. Pz IV G and H, Dicker Max, Ta 154(killing 5 CASing idiots in a single life has never been so easy) and 109 G-2. Goes smooth as butter.
I'm using the 4.3 Pz IV + Wirbelwind + KV1B, doing fairly well in both. Usually 4-5 kills a match in RB. Also have a Bf109 E-3 that I enjoy a ton for getting kills on CAS morons, but like I said I honestly have tremendously bad luck with teams. This bad luck with teams is usually why I don't play intensely team-focused games. Its pretty hard to make an instrumental contribution in WT, I think, when most of your team is full of braindead retards that either rush the cap blindly or think the best way to win is all sniping from spawn. Out of cover. :V [editline]3rd August 2017[/editline] i mean either my team is metaphorically dragging me down or they're literally drowning me like in that one video

I saw Dunkirk this evening so I'm downloading War Thunder to grind British planes
I saw Dunkirk this evening so I'm downloading War Thunder to grind British planes
Saw it Monday, spent the last few days flying Spits in simulator battles. Lovely.
[sp]So, why were the He-111s armed with, judging by the sound, at least a 37mm flak cannon?[/sp]
Well, I mean the H-3, H-6, and H-16 could have a 20mm MG FF/M in the front. [sp]I haven't seen the movie though, and I doubt they were going after the front gunner.[/sp]

Worst was that it was that sound even when two turrets were firing at once.[/sp]
I thought it was only AFTER the battle of Britain that they increased the weapons on the HE-111's from just MG15's. I still haven't watched the film but im really curious now

I still haven't watched the film but im really curious now
[sp]The guns on the He-111 legitimately sound like a 37mm, probably similar to a Flaktruck or ZSU-37 in-game. It has a single rear-ward spinal "gun turret" and a forward facing chin "gun turret", both of which have the same "cannon". Its clear that they used a real plane or a clever scale model or full-size replica, and couldn't actually use blank firing machine guns or period-correct cannons.[/sp] [sp]The same is true of the Spitfires, which are supposed to have 6-8 .303 Brownings or 2 Hispanos and 4-6 Brownings, but in the movie the volume of fire and post processing tracer and battle damage effects would seem to make the Spitfires appear to have only 2 to 4 Brownings. Battle damage is generally fuel or oil leaks and very rarely cracked glass or "pieces of metal" flying off, which aren't actually real because these are real planes (which you can't obviously damage) they use in the film for the third-person shots.[/sp]
Unusual question, but I think it would be most appropriate to post here before make a thread in hardware & software. Are there any happenings of Windows 10 users with NVidia graphics cards having their game crash on login and their graphics card refusing to work after several restarts? My screen went black as soon as I logged into my account. I tried rebooting but it only showed a white line across the top middle of the screen, with some random colored noise around it. Took several reboots until I finally got it working again.

Since he basically disappeared and was ultimately "shot down" by the first Bf109 they encounter, we never see it fully used in battle despite it being anachronistic anyways.[/sp] [sp]I was complaining about the .303s with the idea that the battle damage they inflict on the He-111 and the Bf109s feels too "restrained".[/sp] Maybe WarThunder has spoiled me when it comes to shooting someone at low BR with 8-12 .303s in your Spitfire or Typhoon.
