Yeah sure more game content I'll never be able to touch, that's great.
Once they get more vehicles in game they are reducing RP and credit costs of vehicles below era 6.
Isn't that the exact same fucking excuse they used for tanks having a bigger grind than planes? "Oh yes we'll decrease the grind once there are more tanks in the trees" yet they still haven't done shit.
Well, this is unexpected. I knew that 'nam era vehicles would be releasing at some point, but I thought it would be at least a year off. I wonder if they'll actually add SAM batteries and lock on missiles. Can't wait to lose my shit if malfunctioning AIM-4 and AIM-7 guidance is modeled in game. :hairpull:

Those fun moments when MM has a nervous breakdown, made even more insane at 6.7 when your latewar prop becomes a small fish in a very big pond.

I wonder if they will eventually reach the modern era. That April Fools event looked cool

It used to be called "Historical Battles", the change to "Realistic Battles" was literally an implicit admission it's about (attempt to) depict vehicles realistically but not in historical context.
I wonder if they will eventually reach the modern era. That April Fools event looked cool
They should split the game into two eras with different starting vehicles at some point if they plan to do this. Super late game content is great, but not if it makes the progression insane and the balance too top heavy.
Okay what the heck are those folded-out skirts for?
If the tank angles at you and you hit the skirt with a HEAT shell or missile, the HEAT "beam" will deteriorate in the air significantly (air is IIRC like, 40% the armour equivalent of steel thickness, for HEAT, funnily)

:hypeisreal: In before it only reloads after you fire ALL the guns
I imagine it'll be 3 and 3.
:hypeisreal: In before it only reloads after you fire ALL the guns
To be honest that would make the most sense, since to reload it you'd have to exit the vehicle and manually reload all six rifles. I seriously doubt anyone would bother to do that while the rest of them are still firing.
:hypeisreal: In before it only reloads after you fire ALL the guns
You kind of don't want to be anywhere near the rear sector behind the guns when any of them in the cluster fires, so that's pretty well justified unless you want to model it the way that if you fire one while another is being reloaded, the loader fucking dies :v: [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline]
To be honest that would make the most sense, since to reload it you'd have to exit the vehicle and manually reload all six rifles. I seriously doubt anyone would bother to do that while the rest of them are still firing.
Honestly, since you have 6 shots before you gotta reload, it would be perfectly sensible of them to make reloading a manual sit-still thing, like module repairs. It would be the most realistic and somewhat balance the otherwise insane thing. Type 60 SPERG can reload continuously and on the move but I don't think anybody feels the need to kick it while it's laying down (it only ever lays down). [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] On the other hand, if Ontos does get "sit still while reloading" mechanic, it might as well block your ability to fire too, and allow for partial reloads.
I wonder how they'll handle the .50 cals mounted on four of the launchers. Besides a minuscule magazine, they were also synchronized with the launchers' ballistics IIRC.
I wonder how they'll handle the .50 cals mounted on four of the launchers. The Chieftains and Type 60 comes to mind.
They have more than a few spotting rifles in the game already. The Chieftains and Type 60 comes to mind.
I've actually used the one on Chieftain successfully, you just have to keep in mind it's a ballistic match for the HESH, not the APDS.
I've used them on the Type 60 SPRG to break the transmission up the butt of a PT-76 at about 2m distance, too. So they're not just for spotting! In reality, yeah. They're 5-round blappers for spotting on the M50. The issue is, War Thunder treats them like M2 Brownings on the Type 60. They shouldn't fire fully automatic, and I'm dubious to them even having 10mm of penetration. They're not even a ballistic match for the M40 Recoilless Rifles atm. The only thing they're honestly good for due to the fact they don't remotely match the trajectory for the time being, is to check whether a tank is alive or not by tickling it before using your precious few rounds of ammo.

Hey guys the Ki-94-II is pretty good. It's basically a Japanese P-47N with ludicrous fire power Ignore Reddit, Redditors are bad at games [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] Oh yes [t]http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/Hornet/Hornet_Performance_19aug44.jpg[/t] oh yes

The M60A1 (RISE) is now also undergoing its final testing before its expected release with War Thunder’s 1.71 update!
https://warthunder.com/en/news/4908-gamescom-m60a1-rise-p-explosive-reactive-american-en
Now, Leopard 1A6 for Germany please. Or 1A3 at least.
M60A1 RISE vs. T-64. They said they'd be in a similar bracket. It's like giving an infant a dagger, duct-taping on some pillows and chucking the fucker at a grizzly bear.
At least it's finally getting APFSDS.
I'm real curious to see what other tanks they come up with to match the T-64. The M60A1 with ERA certainly won't do it alone.
Brits only really have Chieftain Mk 10, in terms of tanks with a little more armour that isn't a Challenger, or a composite Chieftain At least it will finally get APFSDS
MBT70 when? Seems like its in the right era. Not sure what the cap is on years they're targeting: early cold war, it seems? Unless they start going into the 70's they're going to run out of options pretty fast. MBT70 would work for Germany and the US though, but that'd be kinda boring since I don't think there was any differences in the final planned versions between nations (though apparently a US prototype had a turbine engine). Merkava, pls? [editline]23rd August 2017[/editline] They really should just split the trees lol, it'd be nice to have something to replace what armored warfare used to do before it welped/imploded

I'm calling it now one of the countries gets an earn-able version while the other gets a premium version weather it be US or GER.
