i think it might be a little over-tiered, honestly. armour is lacking compared to the T-34 1940 and M4A1 much like the Pz IV F2, but it doesn't have the great gun of the Pz IV F2 to make up for it. it [I]does[/I] have a fuckload of filler in the APHE rounds though (270g!!!), so that's something (unless the stat card is wrong and it doesn't actually have the same amount of filler as a 122mm shell that weighs almost 5x more).

The AP-I round has like 60mm pen, and the IT rounds like 45mm. It'll still kill everything, and be even deadlier against planes

Finally got my first rank 5 tank
goddamn the new Strv81/Cent Mk3 engine sounds are great. And the Wyvern got even louder, somehow.
Kinda miss the old turbo (or is a supercharger?) whine in the Lagg-3-66 though. The new throaty roar isn't bad, but it isn't as distinct. Speaking of, that's one of my favorite planes tbh. Quite adaptable, and even when I'm using the Obj120 in ground RB it still holds it's own: even against jets, since it's a decent climber and can use maneuverability to make the enemy jet burn speed. I actually shot down an Arado in my Lagg recently, since he had the bright idea of trying to turnfight me :v:
what aircraft further in the soviet air line compare to this playstyle? I don't play a ton of air anymore, I'm quite bad at it and don't like much playing fighters (and feel too bad playing bombers/ground attack), but I've been meaning to give it another go.

actually i got another jet kill with the Lagg, an Ho229 tragically fell into a flat spin (rip no rudders) and I managed to kill the pilot while he spun about helplessly

They generated fucking $60,000+ in about 8 hours for two vehicles (both of which I owned from CBT) that are perfectly balanced and barely even interesting. I didn't even do some grand event to get them.
The German Sherman is a reskin with a worse add-on track armor layout (no really) and the T-34 Prototype is a T-34 1940 that looks a bit different and has 50 more horsepower.
I was more sad when the TB-3/XF5F/M8A1 came back up again in events, but it gives me hope since I never bothered with the Ohu, MBR-2, Excelsior, and KV-220.

Those days are long past with a more raw APCR belt and 6.7BR. Basically bee-line to that ammo as it's the best belt regardless for both planes and tanks, and go in sneaky breeki like. 95mm pen is plenty for the sides of most tanks even at 7.0. Just be cautious to only attempt it at face-hugging distances with Russians (and IS-4M is totally immune.)

The pack already paid off. I bounced a KV-2 shell in the Black Cat, then proceeded to kill four KV2s, one KV1 and one T-34/85 before dying.

Make a steel wall out of super heavies, it actually works. (Well in sim anyway)
VG33 flies really nice with a joystick. Really stable as a gun platform, full trim, turns super tight, and you can do some awesome controlled stall stuff with it

Which is incredibly easy to achieve if you know which country and BR bracket to play in assuming you're referring to RB. Arcade is probably even more of a joke as you can just get 1 kill+, back out and move onto the next match
