Well, good to see that team compositions are going to receive a few changes.
Trying to aim while floating in water can be very obnoxious sometimes, depending how the physics engine decides to treat you.

Anyone got any info about those 25lb AP rockets the Wyvern has, btw? All I've figured out from videos and shit is that they're lighter (40kg to 43kg) and faster (480m/s to 350m/s) than RP-3s :v:
Does arcade battles have combined arms fights or is that still just realistic/simulation?

When you get enough kills in arcade you can have a kill streak moment from CoD and switch to a random fighter, attacker or bomber for 30 or so seconds.

Nice ammo hitboxes.
Every new german open top TD has the crew hitboxes way too high, compared to where they are in-battle.
Check them out.
So uh, I just started playing this game and I gotta say the tank combat's pretty fun.
Anything I should know about before I start playing further? I mostly play ground force (and eventually naval), but I'd like to know the general knows, dos and don'ts. Also, is the whole 'Russian bias' thing true or what?

Once you go up against T-34s you'll see what the fuss is about.

Get out while you can.
UK tanks stomp USSR tanks at the 3.7-4.3 death zone that people usually get demolished at. Anything with a 6pdr cuts through T-34s like a laser, the Cromwells are faster, the Churchill III can render itself impenetrable with some gentle angling because no T-34 player ever takes APCR, and the Achilles can one-shot them from like a kilometre away pretty reliably

Most soviet tanks in Tiers II and III have a weak horizontal ring. If you come face to face with one, an AP shot in that area is usually enough to cripple the turret and some of the crew.
KV-2s are particulary weak to this spot. The top corners of the frontal turret armor, as well, are weakspots. An AP shot through either corner will kill at least one crewmember, and has the potential of damaging the breech as well.
Also, most soviet tanks lack gun elevation. They can't use hull down tactics very well, because they need to expose themselves more to fire. Always watch out for soviet tanks climbing cliffs to get a good shot at you

German Tier 2 Tanks have decent guns but practically no Armour to speak of, and what Armour they do have is not angled in any way shape or form. Going up against Sherman's isn't to bad but T-34's can go to hell.

I was in a staring match for 10 minutes in my Churchill III against a T-34 1941.
The guy just gave up and drove off.
because the fire extinguisher and repair kit weren't bad enough to not have by default
blown off arms are healed by band-aids everyday what are you guys even complaining about?
and according to that image it's not a first tier upgrade like the extinguisher and the repair kit usually are, it's 3rd tier

FPE is tier 2 doe

It's an excuse for bad players.
I never had a problem dealing with T-34s, all you have to do is aim for the turret ring (which is pretty huge on the T-34s) or the turret cheeks.

Soviet gun have no need of depression, for too happy of living in grand Soviet republic
I tried tanks for the first time in like two years. I want to play the British stuff because I love how silly British tank design was during WWII. Man, tanks are hard. I forgot how much of this came down to positioning and planning ahead. I was getting completely wrecked in my cute little Tetrarch until I started to play more like a sneaky bastard and using the speed to go the long way around and attack from unusual angles.

Oh, i just noticed what it said in the bottom of that article.
"Update: After evaluating your feedback on the recent developer's blog about the planned introduction of Trauma Packs, we have decided not to include the mechanic with the release of Update 1.59 'Flaming Arrows', but to send it back for revision instead."
yay the game is "saved"
for now
What exactly is so wrong with medkits? Speaking from ignorance here as I can't come up with a reason not to have one. I have had crew members die from hard bumps so it sounds like something I'd want to bring along.

RB/SB players like playing pin the tail on the crew member. The concept of them papping a tank, killing one crew, and having that nullified because they did it from an absurd distance and said enemy got to cover and undid it both frightens and confuses them.
These are the same players who would likely want repairing anything except the tracks removed, and track repair causing the crew to actually abandon the tank and sit around whacking the things with a sledgehammer for 15 minutes.
