Thank you Gaijin for keeping Karelia in the map rotation for RB/SB and reminding me just how fucking [I]garbage[/I] that map is. [editline]6th June 2016[/editline] I want to like ground forces but it's such a hit or miss game. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's absolutely miserable. Like the whole retarded "you can't repair your tank or put out a fire until you research it" thing that Gaijin thinks is an amazing idea. I know I'm whining about things that have been a problem since the very beginning, but the fact that I was there since the very beginning, and seeing how little the game has changed is both frustrating and saddening. All this is doing is just reminding me why I stopped playing.

It'll be weird if they make the Tu-4 6.3 like the B-29. I don't think it was even considerably slower, but putting it at 6.7 would be suicidal. The entire game really needs to stretch out that 8.0 to a 9.0 already.
Didn't some B-29's have a 20mm tail gun or something? Should've included that in the remodel.

Or when you hit the side of their turret, and said beams find the ammo and turn it black, but nothing happens. Game could really use an overhaul to HE mechanics. HESH is far more complicated, for awhile I thought they just ran it as HE with absurdly penetrative fragments.
something got changed the last patch. Cannon fire is considerably less effective now at taking out armored targets, The Mk103 now needs several hits to kill things it used to one hit, and things which could barely scrape in the ground attack role. Like Hispanos and ShVAK are now utterly worthless. Even .50s got the stick. I can see I'm continuing to have to wage a secret war with Gaijin's balance department as a ground attack pilot.

You're still as large as a barn with a bad turret and gun that is going to have a stupid (ie let me find videos of it literally not working on armor it should) time trying to fight anything frontally. And yet, it's fast, the reverse speed is no longer ass, it somehow has gun depression (because they had to turn the breech/springs upside down iirc), and plays like an actual medium. Albeit a massive one, but a medium none-the-less. You're gonna shit all over T-44-85s, but T-54s are gonna shit all over you unless you catch them by surprise. If you wind up face-to-face with a heavy, you've messed up. If it's still at 6.7BR (which it is I think but at Era V, so it can't see pure Era III line-ups at 5.7), only in a shitty maximum uprank of 7.7 with IS-3s/IS-4s and other nonsense should you play extra cautious. If you get into a 5.7-ish, you can play it like a Tiger II on crack.

Smollest Birb says patch tomorrow. If by some miracle it isn't, you can almost for sure expect it next Tuesday. For those of you who run a dev server, get it updated for a transfer. For those that don't, the launcher how hosts a "preload" feature that I'd recommend.
