Somebody explain to me why the Germans get the 88 at BR5.3-5.7 but the Russians get the gun [B][I]designed to compete with the 88[/I][/B] at BR5.0. At least make it the same BR, Gaijin. It's ridiculous to face T34-85s in pre-Tiger tanks.

Because the T-34-85 is kind of a glass cannon, while basically anything at even 4.7 can't even touch a Tiger

I mean besides russian bias bounces, anything with HE filler into the hull of a T-34 chassis is probably going to kill every crew member
It still feels kind of wrong to be playing Realistic battles and come across a KV-85 in my PzIV built before the 88 was even considered for AT purposes.

I completely agree. My Spitfire 14c that was introduced in 1943 shares its battle rating with the 109K-4 and 190D-13s from 1944/45. This must stop, let me club 1943 planes only.

The 85mm AT gun was a conversion of a weapon the Red Army adopted in 1939 (the T-34-85 should probably go to 5.7 though)

The 109 K4 was cleared for its in-game ATA circa March 45, approx.
The 190D in game is [URL="http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/fw190/fw190d9-level.jpg"]the fastest line on here[/URL], which was something only really tested (the engine settings were used, albeit rarely for shit like 262 airfield defense, sealed engine gaps were never used in combat I don't think?), so it's kind of a hypothetical mid-late 45 Dora? So Wehrbs bitching about the Spit 22/Bearcat are full of shit
Maybe I'm just whining again, but the King Tiger really feels powerful for its BR.
Compared to both my Centurions, they can aim for any spot on me and kill me, I have to aim for the turret, I also better knock out the gunner or they'll return fire and probably cripple me. Even the armor of the King Tiger is immune to the L7, unless you're way close, not to mention that the APHE ammo is cheaper than APDS, despite being a lot better in almost every way.

On the other hand I have ridicilous probles with destroying Centurions using the long 88 :v:
A lot of the time it does almost nothing post-penetration. Other than that, it's a nuke launcher, and not having to buy better ammo is (along with the guns) the greatest perk Wehrmacht has to offer.

It's really frustrating in the Cent 10 that the 150mm pen HESH doesn't go through the 150mm plate. You can only hit the LFP with that round and that will only ever kill the transmission. Great round vs Panthers though

M134 only has like 6.7mm of penetration. It isn't going to be a tank killer like the Kugel and Russian SPAA's.
It's an M61 actually.
