I really just want them to split it off into a separate game so I don't have to grind my way up or buy a pack to play with that era of vehicles but they probably don't want to split up the user base or make everyone start from scratch in terms of progress
Took the words right out of my mouth. I really don't care whenever a tier 4 or 5 vehicle or plane gets added to the game because fuck grinding for years in a shittastic meta that the game was obviously never built for. The game plays best in tier 2 and 3 where most of the stuff that actually fought during WWII resides. If they want to go Cold War they need to commit to it and design a new game around it. They will undoubtedly fuck it up because shitty game design is Gaijin's forte, but it's still a huge improvement over if they decide to add stuff like Century series fighters and Vietnam Era MiGs, all with the guided missiles of their day.
I drive Cold War stuff only during sim tank battle events, so I couldn't really care less about the shit they add. I just want Germany and Britain to get more post-war vehicles. And decompression of BR.

another high rank only event ... pathetic ...

Way back when a little after the update that made the 20 tier system into the 5 tier system a post on the Russian forums made it's way around explaining why they wont/can't decompress brs The reason is that they never truly removed the 20 tier system, they just retextured it. So why does that matter? Well one of the devs had actually explained that either they cannot rebuild the tree without an incredibly exhaustive effort that would not be worth the time nor effort or they just straight up can not because of how the game was made. The reason I say that is because it was google translated Russian, kinda hard to decipher half the time. So yeah we're stuck with this unless they break off and put together a new game, or the smart thing just made a cold war tank tree separate from the regular tank trees
TBH, I think one of the biggest challenges of decompressing the tree is the low player numbers. It's hard enough to get full games together with the current compression.
Man, I remember when this game was all just about shooting down biplanes in my MiG-15
Soon it'll be all about shooting down MiG-15s with F-22s.
Ilwrath helped me commemorate the purchase of a brand spankin' new Chieftain. [t]http://i.imgur.com/gjJgSto.jpg[/t]
http://warthunder.com/en/news/4233-development-leopard-a1a1-modernized-blitzkrieg-en/ Speaking of post-war, how about a tank from 1975? [editline]10th September 2016[/editline] I really don't like the direction Era V is going. There's going to be a 30 year gap in technology in that tier, now. By the time the 1A1A1A1A1A1A1A1 was in the hands of the German army, the T-72 was in service
Leopards already the best tank in the game, now they have 2 of them. Why couldn't they get a German M48 or something?
They just need to add a new tab for all these vehicles, so you'll have Aircraft; Tanks; Ships (soon™); and Post war shit
http://warthunder.com/en/news/4233-development-leopard-a1a1-modernized-blitzkrieg-en/ Speaking of post-war, how about a tank from 1975? What the devs look at is the technology used by vehicles(i.e composite armor or depleted uranium rounds etc.) Literally the only difference between the two we will have in game is some additional armor on the turret, better engine which is offset by the additional weight. The stabilisaton might be a bit too much though. Other than that, I have no idea what's the fuss about.
V Force bombers when.
V Force bombers when.
Buccaneer, dude
Buccaneer, dude
[t]http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ei8LThUSpjw/UlXx_845y4I/AAAAAAAABcI/TU3r2_UbXPU/s1600/IMG-20130912-02856.jpg[/t] At this point, would adding A2A Missiles really be that big of a deal? It's not like you can't avoid them either, it'd be sort of like dodging a boom-and-zooming plane... that's trying to ram you.
So what's next, a T-64 for the Russians?
So what's next, a T-64 for the Russians?
Regular T-64? No way in hell. T-64A? Maybe.
I still wish they would add bomber dropped VI rockets :c
The stabilisaton might be a bit too much though.
In Gaijin terms all stabilisation means is better elevation/rotation rates, so it's won't be a big deal in-game - just take a gander at the later British tanks, for example. [editline]a[/editline]
http://warthunder.com/en/news/4232/current/#2 free communist M3 Lee if you get 280 kills (60 in each class of ground vehicle and 100 in a class of your choosing)
Did the event get changed since you posted that, 'cause it says 300 total (100 per class) now.

[editline]a[/editline] Did the event get changed since you posted that, 'cause it says 300 total (100 per class) now.
You only need to complete 9/12 tasks to get the tank, so you could do the "30 kills" task in each class (which gets you 4 tasks complete), the "60 kills" task in each class (total of 8 tasks), and then finish it off with 1 of the "100 kills" tasks in whichever class you want
But there's only 9 tasks? [editline]a[/editline] Oh, I think I know where the confusion is coming from actually; there's no tasks for light tanks even though they mention light tanks in the first line. Gaijin being Gaijin and causing confusion :v:
Since germans are getting that A1A1 I'm really fucking hoping we'll get that Mk. 5/4 so I can proceed to fuck anything and everything with long fin stabilized steel dildos in my Chieftain.
Does any other of the tanks, currently in game, have any kind of stabilization, or is the A1A1 the first one to have that?
Does any other of the tanks, currently in game, have any kind of stabilization, or is the A1A1 the first one to have that?
Several tanks have stabilizers "modelled" by having buffed gun elevation speeds.
MBT-70 when? [t]http://www.jameskincaidgameart.com/IMAGES/new_format/MBT-70-Tank.jpg[/t] Sexiest tank ever designed by man, IMO (Barring that awful autoloader)
Gaijin should just make a new game that goes from late 40s to present day.

Still would be interesting to see considering we have the Sheridan
Finally got the ASU-85. Instantly regretted it and probably will do until i get the HEAT-FS rounds. :s:
