Is Stillbrew composite? If not we could go Mk. 10
I think it isn't.
AFAIK Stillbrew is stacked steel/metal plates with rubber buffers inbetween. Also Mark 10 was introduced in the 80s I believe, so it'd be a bit too late I think.

Looks like they're going by technology rather than a hard coded date.
Finally got the IL-2 1942. Actually impressed with it's ground attack and makes a decent enough "head-on" attacker. Also got the pe-3/e and it feels a tad bit underwhelming firepower/health wise but that's probably more related to the fact that it's a "heavy fighter" in the ground attack line.
I miss so badly those 100 players battles from IL-2 1946
(while the engine is based off 2001 IL-2 it was great to play)
why can't we have at least 64 or 96 players in WT ;)

soon
(In a year or so probably)
They did a blog on World War Mode a few months back.
Reading the Japanese War Thunder wiki comments about flying the high tier Zeroes and most of the comments talk of BnZ/diving/catching energy fighters in a turnfight and destroying them (in the A6M5)
what the fuck kind of magical fantasy do they live in - every time I fly the A6M5, I get picked off by roided late war fighters that swoop in from low earth orbit in RB

I get that 'battle size' promised since WT went beta ... forgot how many years it is ....

At this point, would adding A2A Missiles really be that big of a deal?
It's not like you can't avoid them either, it'd be sort of like dodging a boom-and-zooming plane... that's trying to ram you.
Just add the prototype, it had the ADEN pack the Hunter had and that gun cuts pillboxes/light tanks apart even with stock ammo

Can see the gunports behind the nose wheel
Bullying newbies into submission in my 109 E-7, once again.
I kinda feel bad.
Especially when I rip them with just the MGs.

It seems like 30mm cannons are the go to for ground attack now, even though 37mm guns don't seem that effective.
I don't know what kind of dark matter powered miniature sun shooting guns the late tier 2/early tier 3 american fighters have, but I want like 30 of them for everything I own because I'm getting vaporized by these things.
Also what did the Russians think they were doing when they armored their planes? The mig series has like 13mm seat cushions for maximum protection of ones asshole but a measly 6-8 mm tops for the entire back of the pilots seat. Even worse is that on some planes they literally cut a hole so your head is exposed :(
Speaking of migs, anyone else think the engines are secretly made from napalm coated origami?
Have they ever said anything about helicopters? Because they're defiantly getting into the early helicopter gunship era now with the M163 and Leopard 1A1 because the AH-1 entered service in 1967, a year before the M163's introduction while the Mi-24A was introduced in 1972 and the Apache's first flight was in 1975 when the Germans were introducing the 1A1.
Them adding helicopters could actually bring me back because there isn't that very many games with helicopters outside of Battlefield and the upcoming Rising Storm 2 and I guess Heliborne as well.
Whether they're definitely entering the gunship era is pretty much irrelevant though, 'cause it's evidently technologies they use as cut-offs, not dates.

Parola is great, been there a couple of times for World of Tanks events.
I really need to go take a holiday to the capital here, they have the worlds only bomber 262 variant and a 163 among some other really cool stuff.
Unfortunately the big tank museum here has for some reason closed to the public, so you can only go if you are family of someone in the military and they have to be there with you when you go.

Yeah I kinda picked off 3 a6m5 kos in my spitfire lf mk 9 back to back chasing after a p47; they get rekt at high alititude turn fighting

btw F9F-8 Cougar announced; wonder what the performance against the mig 17 might be

Can't believe I missed it, but 11 days ago:
IT-1 BR has been increased from 8.0 to 8.3 in all modes
Fixed a bug where the MGM61b (Shillelagh) missile had an excessive deflection from the point of aim.
Sheridan maybe actually works now, and the IT-1 gets a largely inconsequential BR bump - high-tier gameplay remains cancerous, arguably more-so than it was since the Sheridan might be working as intended now.
God I wish Gaijin never added fucking ATGMs to the game.

It'll be interesting to see if its fire spreads as badly as the Kugelblitz after a bit of sustained fire.
[editline]a[/editline]
It'll also be interesting to see how long it takes Gaijin to unfuck the bombs on the Wyvern; it still drops the middle and left bomb first, instead of the left and right.

Oh my, this thing may actually be on par with the ZSU-57-2 when it comes to killing tanks :v:

Also finally a reason to research the Coelian.
