So my account got hacked and apparently I am responsible for it says Gaijin. Just a warning for any of you who may get fucked over by this company! Take a look (sorry for terrible spelling and grammar was very annoyed) apparently we are responsible for our own accounts if they get hacked I will type out my old password with a break between each char because I am paranoid now: 0*6*0*4*8*1*7*5*a*k*i*e*4 As you can imagine this password is pretty much unguessable so I believe that it was stored in plaintext on there website. Here is how the support went. [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Xseqw7J.png[/img_thumb]
Yeah, Gaijin is known for being pretty terrible about account recovery in general
It's awful since I am moving house in 3 days and I am not going to have a debit card for then which forces me to use my credit card to survive, because Gaijin. I am furious with them, how can this happen?
Did you have an authenticator set up on your account? [editline]a[/editline] fuckiin karelia lol "first game t-62 :))" ammorack him across the map with my jagdtiger like 2 seconds into the game while he leaves spawn
Why is the IS-1 so bad? Like seriously what's the point of a heavy tank of everything it faces can penetrate and one shot it with ease?

[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/Xseqw7J.png[/img_thumb]
Yeah the reason they can make purchases with your card is because it gets linked to your account when you first use it to buy something meaning you don't need to enter your details in repeatedly. You actually need to opt out of it manually which is rather stupid, I decided to buy something not through steam for my partner which he had done for me( but by logging in to my account to buy it I think), turns out his card had been linked to my account so when I purchased a gift it charged him Also how did you "lose" 3 aircraft and a tank, you can't exactly sell them or turn them in for golden eagles, just go to the tech tree and add them to your lineup again. Once you have something you have it forever.
Drive it backwards, lad. Ass-first battle tactics
Seriously, back when I took part in the E-100 tournaments people would drive their IS-2s backwards. It was pretty effective.

Apparently these twonks think that telling people they are bad is breaking TOS!
Hello! How do I get Spitfires off my six in a Bf 109? I know I should abuse my climb rate, but then what? It seems like they can follow me no matter what kind of maneuver I try to do.

Could force an overshoot if you enter a dive and wiggle whilst rolling.
how viable is playing this with a hotas ive redownloaded it and been trying out realistic with my X55 but i'm not sure if it's ideal yet
From what I've heard if you're playing RB you're just gimping your aim for no real gain 99% of the time, but then again i can't fly with stick at all so what do i know.
how viable is playing this with a hotas ive redownloaded it and been trying out realistic with my X55 but i'm not sure if it's ideal yet
In RB you'll be losing a ton of aiming accuracy for a gain in being able to fly better, more efficiently, and precisely. However, unless you're really fucking good, the tradeoff isn't worth it. In SB you need to fly with a stick so it'll be an even playing ground.
Anyone else get that feeling sometimes while high altitude bombing where it seems like enemy fighters can literally fly vertically? I literally had someone yesterday climb like, 7.5km up within the last minute or so of the game just to try and get the final kill on me. (They ended up losing)
Apparently these twonks think that telling people they are bad is breaking TOS!
So wait- does this mean that Gaijin's support actually saw your post in this thread, then used it against you? Wow.
Yep and now my account has been permanently blocked because of it. Wow huh
You should spread this around. I think they really crossed a line by stalking your posts on other websites. Maybe with enough backlash they might realise why following their customers around isn't a good thing. And now in the future I'm going to be careful with what I post here in case of "reprisals".

because we of course needed a french second generation tandem HEAT warhead guided missile built in 1977. Again. These things are already on the ground, why not the air? The Sidewinder entered service in 1956

Adding semi-active air-to-air missiles could push the timeline up to at least the end of the Vietnam War so we don't have Shilkas shooting down 50s jets.
Again. These things are already on the ground, why not the air? The Sidewinder entered service in 1956
Let's be honest here though, the ATGMs we'll have in-game aren't really comparable to those. It's a pretty huge jump from having player-guided missiles to having homing missiles requiring practically zero effort.
Can we confirm if its mouse guided or not?

Maybe you're thinking of early radar guided missiles? Once an infrared guided missile leaves the rails it's all on its own. I would love to see them add air to air missiles, but I think that's going a little too far for them because then they need to write air to air guidance algorithms. Not to mention things like IR signatures, which as far as I know aren't modeled at all right now. To me that would be the tipping point where it's like okay Gaijin stop fucking around, just make a Cold War Thunder already. Then again, I never expected them to create ATGMs because that would have required them to write a wire guided missile and yet here we are.

Sans the rocket engine in that case. Think about this realistically for a moment, if we did have them in the game, knowing gaijin, you know for a fact the moment that missile hops off the rail it's in the hands of RNGesus. It's a jump yeah, and a new game mechanic, but if it's supported by new systems, like flares for instance, it simply constitutes another random system into the layer. Yes it takes less skill, but frankly jet dogfights are shit anyway because of the particularities of fighting at those speeds. Like imagine all those absolutely mind numbing moments where you have to chase people in jet matches. Now image if you get rid of like 70% of them by hocking a missile at them and at least forcing them to turn back into the fight. Suddenly it gets a lot more lively, a lot more decisive. Yes this means bad things for certain planes, namely bombers, but then maybe we can get gaijin off their asses to design better structure for the maps that take this shit into account. So maybe you could fly something like the Canberra Mk 6 in an actual interdiction role.
but then maybe we can get gaijin off their asses to design better structure for the maps that take this shit into account.
Ahahahaha. Gaijin hasn't changed anything about air RB maps in years it feels like, i doubt they're gonna start now.
