If GuP portrayed accurate armor spalling and crew loss it'd be a cooler show
Tanks in War Thunder don't take skill anyways, it's all rng
Mig 17 gets a g-suit tomorrow, so now i'll be even more op in it

Didn't realize that me being able to aim was pure luck, jesus take the keyboard!

40 mins late but IS HAPPENING

Gaijin seems really bad putting updates out on time
Game is up and running.

New ammo for the short 88:

Trading penetration for higher velocity and EVEN MORE explosive filler.
About 50% increase in TNT equivalent :v:

240mm pen, so there's now even less reason to switch from T-54 mod. 1947 to the later ones.

They unfucked the Brumbar HEAT and gave its proper penetration value (185mm from 160mm)

I noticed German and Russian tank crews now speak their respective languages, JP and US crews however still have britabong voices.

Hunter is still a better jet

Tanks don't take skill lol
You can come argue with me in regards to that when you're in the top 50 for teutonic giants
[editline]20th December 2016[/editline]
Hunter is still a better jet
No it's not lol, a mig 17 would obliterate the hunter in a 1v1
Hunter is simply the ez mode of jets due to the guns and performance combination

I mean it requires skill in that you need to know shit like weak spots, crew locations, maps locations, and tank-specific play styles to be really good at it
You cant just toss some random noob into a game with someone who's been playing for years and expect them to do well; there is absolutely some skill involved

Tanks are all rng. It's simply strategy for each map and how you execute it. From there, you just hope that you don't bounce from the dumbest shit
I was #27 in the e-100 tournament, and that took no skill at all

I can assure you that there is some skill involved, because you can 100% be BAD at tanks, if half of the current player base is any indication
Youre correct in that the skill ceiling isnt all that high, but it is definitely there as evidenced by the vast numbers of shitters that you see playing tonks

I didn't feel like it took any skill for me to get into the top 200 in that tournament. I simply used my typical strategies for each map like I use normally and hope that rng won't fuck me over from there. A dicker max bouncing your shell, and other similar instances are all rng.
Is it just me, or is the camera really starting to sail all over the place when you're going around in hilly or bumpy terrain?

In the game options scroll to the bottom of main parameters and put the screen shake slider all the way down.
Also fun fact: the 75mm Type 5 (Chi-To, Ho-Ni III, Chi-Ri) is the first Japanese gun I haven't entirely hated. It's got good penetration, good filler, good velocity - the only let-down is the tanks its mounted on being pretty shite.

This i can appreciate. Cheers dude.
I have bought the Ta-154 and it's AMAZING.
For a 4.0 BR heavy fighter with an interceptor spawn it's way too good.
It has amazing roll rate, good turn rate, acceleration, climb rate, armament, nicely armored cockpit.
It doesn't suffer from compression AT ALL. Going almost 700km/h and didn't notice much stiffening.
For only 1.5k GE it's a steal, and I am sure it's going to be uptiered soon to at least 4.7.
Tiger 2 needs to be 9.0, and t-62 needs a 5 sec reload

How does it compare vs the He-219? Don't want two planes that fill the exact same role
How does it compare vs the He-219? Don't want two planes that fill the exact same role
I don't have the He 219 but from what I experienced in test flight, it's a much better fighter overall.
It can't ground pound because it doesn't have MK103.
Overall, still pretty good at bomber hunting because of superior armoring and can dogfight with single engine fighters if you know what you are doing. Pretty good in verticals.
And it looks cool as hell.
If you have the 219 I'd say it's not really worth it. At least give it a spin in test flight.

I was in the top 100 for the last teutonic event every day untill the last day when gaijin switched off the US servers, 400 ping is a hell of a drug
Its like saying "riding a bike doesn't take skill" yeah its easy once you know how but you had to learn how to start with.

A good portion of tanks is RNG. In comparison, aviation takes 10x more skill than tanks
Man the HE on my short gun chi-ha is overpenning other jap tanks frontally, like it goes in one side out the other without even detonating.
10/10 realism :ok:

This is because nippon steel shell casings allow for any payload to become a APFSDS shell.
