Are there any tips for fast researching Russian Tier V planes? I began playing in 2013 and never managed to acquire a jet before the fucked up research update, and now it'll take me ages to research my jet :(
Do RP boosters work for giving more RP that can be used to research planes (not the ones available to convert)?

If anything they made it easier to get to jets with the reduced RP on some, but they introduced a lot more planes that you have to go through

Talisman the yak 9p or la-9
Both are amazing fighters, but you'll get completely destroyed by mk 22's every now and then during an uptier in the la-9

RP still isn't terrible in the air. The real grind is GF, makes it pretty unplayable without premium IMO.

If you don't care about becoming a truly cancerous person, you can do it pretty quickly in a Tu-4. It was disgusting how much RP I got in that thing when I was going for the Russian jets I wanted - possibly the first time I ended up having multiple vehicles I couldn't afford to buy 'cause the RP gain was so much higher than the lions :v:

Tu-2S-59 in RB going after light-pills/bridges use to be the way to go, but that takes.. effort.
Tu-4 you could almost just point and bases, kick your legs up, and watch some Netflix until you either get to the base or get shot down after deleting half of the sky with your glorious tomato-vodka lasers.

Yak-9P is a decent plane too, but definitely not a boom & zoom type, it has great speed but don't chase a german plane going down.

The IL-10 is one of the best planes I've acquired... It's overpowered as hell, you just burst fire in whatever plane and you either get the kill or a critical hit.
I take what I said about the il2-37 back sorta. Once you get the 37mm gun referbishing the thing is relatively accurate and can curb stomp medium tanks (and pillboxes?) in arcade. I just wish it wasn't such a turtle.

It weighs almost as much as the plane itself and makes it nearly impossible to take off from standard runways.
In brief: It flies like shit. :v:
I'll add a note that it handles rather nice if you get it up to speed, but the turn radius carrying an 800kg is about as large as a typical tank-map itself and said handling deteriorates with very quickly with lost speed. Hitting the deck to run barely works on attackers and definitely doesn't on superprops.

Recorded this bit from a replay. I'm really enjoying the Type 60, it's [B]the[/B] definition of a glass cannon. free 300mm @ 90° pen HEAT shells, relatively fast, tiny as all hell, and can fire twice in rapid succession. Two of it's three downsides are dev oversights, the [B]RECOILLESS[/B] rifles have recoil, and you can't raise or lower the turret (which it really should be able to). The third one is the obvious one, having total of 10 shells in the vehicle at any time.

The I-185 M-71 is actually secretly really good but only once you grind it out a fair bit. It's pretty fast and climbs only a little bit slower than a Kurfurst
