The F86F-2 is finally MINE HAHAHAH
What's the fastest way to grind lions without premium? I can't advance any further on the Soviet tree because getting the 230k lions for the T-34-85, 310K for the IS-2, and the crew training costs is too much of a chore.
Clean up ground targets in an attacker like the HS-129 or IL-2. Aircraft in general make a colossal amount of money compared to tanks
Pe-2's in sim battles are good too. Go bomb the bridges. :P
Clean up ground targets in an attacker like the HS-129 or IL-2. Aircraft in general make a colossal amount of money compared to tanks
This is so true. I always forget that money is even a problem for people because of the ~5 million that I built up from planes before GB came out. Same goes for RP. For whatever reason they cut rewards by like 2/3 for tanks.
gaijin pls
DM for the lightly armoured vehicles has been updated: when damaged by HE or HEAT shells, as well as large calibre AP ammo. From now on lightly armoured ground vehicles can be easily destroyed with weapons of 75mm calibre or more whilst using HE or HEAT ammo by hitting hull, turret (if present) or gun barrel and mantlet. This works for the following vehicles: Flakpanzer 38t Gepard Flakpanzer I FlakPz.I Gepard Panzerjager I Nashorn Marder III Marder III Ausf.H Sd.Kfz.6/2 Sd.Kfz.9 Flak 37 Type 94 So-Ki Ta-Se Crusader AA Mk.II Crusader AA Mk.I AEC AA Mk.II Falcon T17E2 M13 M15 M16 M3 GMC M19 M42 M163 Vulcan M18 Hellcat M56 Scorpion ASU-57 GAZ-4M GAZ DShK GAZ-ММ 72-К PT-76B 94-KM ZiS-30 ZiS-43 ZSU-23-4 ZSU-57-2 ZSU-37 ZUT-37
it's like they've doubled-down on the death by broken track thing. http://warthunder.com/en/game/changelog/current/666/ [editline]a[/editline] also a comparatively light nerf to ZSU-57-2 that only affects one of its cancer belts
ZSU-57-2 - the ammo belt has been updated. Now uses APCBC-HE (instead of APCBC).
Looks like a pretty dope update.
Hopefully slices the issue of some light skin vehicles actually being tougher due to shells passing straight through :V:
Russian speaking streamer Alconafter is streaming from Gaijin office and had Bulantsey(BVV in the forum) answer questions(https://youtu.be/b_71VX2LNoY?t=1184) Ammo racks will show empty space when ammo gets used(because sometimes shots to ammo racks that appear full don't explode) MASSIVE BR CHANGES NEXT WEEK(wait news in next few days) Chinese tank tree - no comments, currently only for china server, maybe few interesting tanks will be implemented on warthunder servers Looking to improve post pen damage for large caliber guns(especially for slow reloading) HE shell damage changes happened because there were times it took more shots than to kill a tank IS-7 still maybe T32 will have BR changes MIG-21 & F-100 nope No air-air rockets because whoever gets on tail first wins Spawn killing - moving spawn location not very likely as it requires map changes. They have some other ideas that they are working on but would not elaborate on that BT-42, BT-7A - interesting tanks that they might consider introducting Jumbo - BR changes and possible DM changes T-64 still possible but not now They have planed vehicle list for 1 year ahead Italian tree confirmed BMP, BMD - very probable World war - no real information, wait for new some time Navy - soon new test with ships that have powerful guns Japan - more CAS planes in next patches, working on rocket bombs Smoke - thinking how to introduce them(probably as smoke grenades shot from main gun) ERA - will introduce only if all nations gets it
:excited:
More Russian tanks! And here I am sitting in my Tiger I, which consistently has to deal with fighting Tiger IIs a full BR higher, along with post-war MBTs with ATGMs. But hey, maybe the T-34/85 will get a much needed buff? ))))))
Update also allows MGs (on penetration) to leave decals now. [t]http://i.imgur.com/ihlmKVu.jpg[/t]
smoke having to be shot from the main gun sounds kinda silly, especially for tanks with long reloads - they've already got smoke projectors modelled on so many tanks, why not just make them come from there? [editline]a[/editline] or have smoke screens as a secondary type of artillery barrage and sidestep two balance problems at once (tanks with long reloads, tanks w/o smoke projectors)

Damn, i like the idea of the smoke grenades
smoke weed
Shooting smoke from main gun gives you a serious trade-off of loading a stupid smoke round and plapping the ground near you (or at the enemy's cover as a fuck you.) Smoke projectors are probably an issue because they'll be in every battle rating all mismashed and require no trade off to just pop. Smoke generators would seriously imbalance everything because USSR teams will toke Poland out into one giant fucking cloud of diesel in minutes. Those drums on the back of the IS-4M and some other tanks? Those can be used to produce smoke up to 10 minutes, and can be carried or ejected on a whim. Some other Soviet tanks can just smog up their engine for no reason too. [t]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6e/T-62_smokescreen.JPEG[/t] I'd fine with them tentatively seeing how smoke shells go at first before trying other things. Or your artillery idea, that's fine too.
I'd be down for turning every map into a smoggy hellscape that makes sniping impossible
I'd be down for turning every map into a smoggy hellscape that makes sniping impossible
Then you brawl like a man. Would give hilltop snipers a thorn in the side and cover a flanking tank. I'm OK with this.
I'd be down for turning every map into a smoggy hellscape that makes sniping impossible
yes please I'm sick of getting sniped by some cunt across the map with a Tiger covered in bushes.
Holy shit just all of a sudden so many balance changes and new shit
Holy shit just all of a sudden so many balance changes and new shit
Russian culturally-belated Christmas holiday is finally over. Was extended due to vodka binge and )) overloads. Back on schedule. [sp]))))))))))))))[/sp] I'm hype as fuck to see what the BR tweaks are. Even if I know it's unlikely the grand reveal will be a 9.0 upper limit and King Tigers fffffuuuuCKING right off.

Whoa. [T]http://i.imgur.com/cw8OwHj.png[/T] Careful gaijin.
Sadly that's the wrong Churchill.
Sadly that's the wrong Churchill.
With with 6 pounder?! Best one imo
Sadly that's the wrong Churchill.
yeah, it needs to be for the churchill gun carrier.
yeah, it needs to be for the churchill gun carrier.
Careful, you are borderline the chanting of a meme machine. :v: I was actually using the GC when I got this talisman, It's actually quite fun along with my Cromwell. I'm stuck at british 5.0, it's horrible.
Churchill gun carrier was fantastic, the world was bright and happy then. That was until the german flak truck came, and thus paradise was lost.
Speaking of fantastic tanks, what is the first tier 4 tank I should research in the British tree? I managed to skip the Sherman Firefly. (Apparently it is horrid)
Speaking of fantastic tanks, what is the first tier 4 tank I should research in the British tree? I managed to skip the Sherman Firefly. (Apparently it is horrid)
Firefly has a good gun, in that the 17 pounder allows you to kill shit pretty good. However, its mounted on a Sherman M4 (A2?) hull with 5 degrees of gun depression. That's about it. If you're good at moving without being shot and can make use of awful gun depression then you'll do fine, otherwise you'll be frustrated. You hopefully should already have the Comet, so use that to unlock the Caernarvon. Even after a few minor nerfs, it is still a doom machine once you get the APDS round for the 20 pounder. It is better in every way to the Centurion Mk.3, including armour and mobility. After that, you should get the Centurion anyways (Medium vs Heavy) and also the Crusader AA Mk.1, which is a respectable AA piece if you can lead well and like ambushing tanks that must have less than 80mm side armour. You can use the Challenger and the Charioteer, if you'd like, but I'd just stick with the Caernarvon all the way until your Centurion Mk.10 or Chieftain is unlocked. The Conqueror is alright, but the Centurion and Chieftain are much more mobile.
