I know that there's a bug where if you hold open your map after you die and before it shows your vehicle selection screen, you can't select another vehicle when it pops up. Easy fix is to just hit escape twice - once to open the menu and another to return back. Don't know if that's what you're referring to, but it's something that happens to me commonly and figured others might need that bit of info.
Playing RB with max settings is like purposefully gimping yourself. All the power to you - but it's not a wise choice if you want to perform on par with the rest of the playerbase.
Next you'll be telling me "grass in scope" should be left on for maximum immersion.

They are affordable, but for someone who works part time, and also has to cover other expenses that are far more important, buying a decent GPU means I have to squeeze the living shit out of every single cent for two months. Which, frankly, is impossible.
A GTX 400-series alone costs, in my country, about my entire monthly paycheck. And remember, this is a GPU launched six freakin' years ago.
Now, my PC [I]can[/I] handle some extra foliage without dropping my FPS into single-digit territory, but ever since Gaijin updated the weather system, my average FPS count has come closer to that area.
So either I drop my settings even more and play on "easy mode", or I sacrifice my FPS to play fair, and make aerial battles frustrating because let's see you trying to land shots on a moving target, at 9 frames per second.
And I'm only talking about the GPU. I also got to find a new processor, or motherboard. Something released about four years ago, because going for the latest releases is definitely out of my reach.
The reason I run max settings in war thunder is that my GTX980 can sustain 120+ FPS in allmost all situations. (That and I have a 144hz monitor, the game looks fucking brilliant) But I keep finding my self just getting wrecked all the time in ground forces because people ALLWAYS see something that I cannot.
It's painful to play ground forces and I still chose to keep those grass settings maxed out. I just rage quit and go fly some planes for a bit.

No, this game has a shitty reputation because over the past 3 years the developers have increased grind, taken away features players liked, implemented bullshit features like crew lock and the point system in tanks. All the while flat out refusing to acknowledge broken flight models that do NOT perform to their real life counterpart, let alone fixing any of them. And oh by the way wheres that new matchmaking?

Honestly guys, if you wanna have fun in this game, play low tier German tanks. No pressure to progress, and the pz2 is nice and quick with a great gun if you actually aim up your shots and don't spray n pray.
Nothing like seal clubbing with the 20mm fun the Germans get early on. It's such a great weapon.

That happens to me all the time, seems the server sometimes has a different opinion of what happened to what it told you happened, IE - delayed ammo/fuel explosion which sometimes happens.
Most of the time you should have been dead anyway.
If that driver wasn't dead beforehand its probably safe to say the ammo next to him was as well.

I'm really digging the Meteor Mk 4 G.41F. It really feels like a big change in pace in comparison to Sea Jesus and F.3. I can really push on the mistakes Mig's and Sabre's make and get that kill and it feels incredible.

At least if its' just 30 kills every day, that's extremely feasible and easy.
Fighting the urge to reinstall is painful, but these are just more vehicles I go "cool!" at, then collect dust because I never play them.
At the same time, it's something that takes a quick hour at most, and the GF vehicles are good on paper. Planes, not so much.

Probably means you only need 15 kills instead of 30 if you're doing RB or SB.

It means this. RB/SB (usually) always have multipliers for events due to the less players to kill.
Air events are likely going to run daily, tanks every other day and a bit more considering the 11/14 events needed for tanks and 15/22 for planes.
Mind you that the MBR-2 is a mememachine and the P-38s are mediocre and non-competitive in RB without excessive side-climbing. (You won't win with typical American RB plane teams though.) The Comet is actually good unless they remove it's APDS for some reason, and the KV-2 1940 is the same thing as the 1939 with a fatter, boxy turret some turret MGs. (Coax too, I think!)
I'm not going to bother though. The fact I had to fight back and forth on the reinstall shows that there are clearly some deep-routed issues I have with the game that no amount of brisk grinding for ~rare~ vehicles across 2-3 weeks will fix. Gonna keep learning how to use this new drawing tablet, enjoying OGSE for Shadow of Chernobyl, and eagerly waiting for reviews on DS3 to make sure it's not a launch-day catastrophe. There's also my titular namesake in about a month if it doesn't also crash-and-burn.
I attempted doing that air task and just ended up remembering how uninteresting I find air-only combat. Guess I'll just be waiting for the tank tasks so I can get me some o' that sweet Comet booty.
