I really wish I could fly fighter planes in combined realistic without having to use a ground vehicle first.
I just want to have those really fun, low to the ground, dogfights all the time. Air RB is too much climbing and running for me to enjoy.
Really? I find that most of the air fights in tank battles are against garbage players and even in a massively uptiered vehicle you can usually wipe the floor without thinking, it's really boring
It's the same with Air RB, 90% of the players are trash at the game. At least in combined I don't have to spend 10 minutes climbing to try and kill the player in one pass before they dive for the ground and run to their airfield.
I've just noticed I'm having far more quality 1v1 duels in combined than when I try to find it in Air RB. Hell, I find better fights in Air AB than RB.
The lack of markers in combined makes dogfighting much more interesting. And it gives fighters a good reason to protect their bombers and attackers
Combined has no "climb to low earth orbit" as the main mechanic, along with no early warning radar or shitty Arcade spotting.
If RB just ditched markers, wiped out bombers, and gave some incentive to stay kinda low instead of "yet another Jug climbs to 11,000m when no one was looking and we're slightly down on tickets" - I'd be playing it more often.
I love smashing the t34-85s turret clean off using my brummbar, so satisfying just to say "Fuck you" because 150mm HE.

Nothing is more infuriating than attempting to climb for 25 minutes to reach a WWII satellite in orbit only to have the round end or something
If someone is climbing to space just land and get out who cares about win rates, you'll get more RP from going for another match
Sometimes, when I hate everyone, I climb in my bomber as high as possible and watch them try to catch me, and when they're almost there, in the perfect position to open fire, I J out.

I still maintain that War Thunder is one well designed game mode away from completely redeeming itself and being one of the greatest flight/tank/WWII games of all time. Gaijin just doesn't give a fuck though, and the nature of F2P introduces awkward hurdles to design around.

Don't forget, "king of moving hill" and occasionally the really horrible RB "defend your hill that takes 5 minutes to capture so no one attempts it every and everyone just fucking camps; also the hill is nestled between your spawnpoints like a hotdog in a bun."
I break out of grind mode and play consciously whenever Carpathians come in. It's the only(?) map where shit actually happens to make the match interesting. It's got plenty of AI targets, a bonus for taking out the AI commander, and the D point (which is pretty unfair and dumb but at least it's something different). All of that on top of being a great map. Only map that has AI targets with any amount of frequency is Kuban

No, "Break". It's kind of rare, it's moving points with new spawn points that open up and it seems great on paper, but the old spawns don't disappear and soon everything overlaps and it becomes one huge fuckin' mess. Super rare in RB, semi-rare in AB iirc.

I just blew 150% and 300% together in a RB Japan match where I got 1HKO leaving spawn, and then caught on fire in the Duster with no FPE leaving the OTHER spawn and died with 10SP away from getting in the ST-A1. And we lost, but Axis is just getting its' shit pushed in with the new BR patch.
On the upside, saw I had a 700% SL booster sitting in my inventory from some time ago so I popped it since I needed Leopard 1A1A1A1A money. Combined with the [del]most broken ass shit[/del] well-balanced vehicle in the game, I got nearly 1M in a SINGLE MATCH.
Oh and I only had Prem + 15% RP going. Shame there's nothing left to research for USA.

It does OK as a long range sniper. It also doubles as a very slow and very powerful AA gun, so there's that.
Take a shot or two, and move. If they get close enough, american SPAAG trucks can tear it apart.

I wish they'd give that flaktruck Airburst rounds. I mean, they have a bajillion prototypes as it is, might aswell add in a prototype prox fuze for em just to make them x10 funner.
