I have no issue shooting while moving with NTEC
0.75s vs 0.7 is a pretty distinct difference in CQC btw
EDIT: On APBDB they have the same walk modifier
Funnily enough the STAR is much more versatile than the N-TEC in CQC
and that comes rom a RS2 CJ3 N-Tec user

That's you; all I'm saying is it's a reliable alternative. You asked for reasons.
As you can see, RP has put a lot of time and effort into improving these areas that were blocked off last year.

I see no stats to back that up.
The non-mm mode running accuracy is better, but you're still going to get annihilated by any actual CQC weapons because you kill slower. You also deserve to die for entrusting your life to random spread if you're doing this anywhere but point blank.
A much wiser choice is jumping and going into marksman mode which the N-TEC is more accurate while doing.
have fun hitting your shots against a moving target at less than 5 meters range while you're standing still and they're filling you full of lead
that's the thing about the STAR
if you don't suck much, you can get in incredibly close and run circles around your enemy while consistently putting bullets in them since it is a million times easier for you to hit than it is with a tight spread of an OCA or a shotgun
of course it's a shitty gun if you're going by the assumption that everyone always hits 100% of the shots 100% of the time and everybody always starts firing at the same time and at the same rate of fire, but that only happens never

50 ms disadvantage is big either way
More spread certainly doesn't make anything easier unless you are completely incapable of aiming. I have no idea why you'd want that.
And no, I wouldn't stand still at 5m. I'd sprint -> jump -> marksman mode spray.
-Score is going to get a bit of an overhaul. We're going to bring in assists on more objectives, give bonus score for taking down a VIP, and give the VIP score whenever a teammate performs a scoreable activity (to counteract VIP's usually getting the lowest score in a match). We also want you to generate a little bit of score while a mission objective is in a Defend state to give defenders a bit more score for their play.
-Due to some unforeseen circumstances, two of the four new contacts have been pushed to early 2014. However, we still have plans for two contacts (one Praetorian and one G-King, both in Financial) who will come with a new wave of interesting weapons and equipment.
-The mission revamp has also been pushed out of 2013.
The Future:
-New tutorial with checklisted activities that players can complete to make the learning curve of APB Reloaded a little less vertical, as well as introduce rewards for people that complete the tutorial entirely (don't worry, you can go back and do the tutorial on your old character to get the reward too).
-Two new contacts - Aletta Cadagen and Gumball will be appearing in the Financial district.
-Daily Activities in mission districts will be coming to the game in a release that's getting the finishing touches now. Keep checking back here for more information; just be aware that Joker Tickets aren't the only prize you'll get in Mission Districts in the near future. Joker Tickets are a long standing feature request and they're also bringing with them another longstanding feature - the ability for low level players to get their hands on late game modifications. So, if in a couple of patches time, you see a group of three people standing on top of a Han Celante with STAR-556's, don't be alarmed; they've just got their hands on leasable car-surfer. Details to follow...
-Right now our next major release is scheduled to be 1.13.0. Since we're totally not scared of apparently unlucky numbers, we're doing something a little weird with this release - we've pulled all the new features from this release and moved them into the 1.14 release series and we've filled 1.13.0 with bug fixes, client optimization work, and quality of life changes for players.
-Expect the 1.13.0 patch note post on the forums to be one of the biggest notes lists that we've ever posted. We'll be talking in greater depth about the client optimization changes, the major bugs that we're fixing, and what else is coming in the 1.13 series as the weeks progress, so keep an eye here and on the APB Reloaded forum for further details.

Leaseable late-game mods? Cool, now everyone can Alig-tank!
Also, dat offroad car!
you know a game's fucked up when you rate guns in the amount of fucking time it takes to kill someone. Why can't they just put proper hitboxes in?
I remember the only fun I had in APB was being enforcer with some friends playing VIP missions.. you get one guy with that slow firing vehicle rape MG in a chase car, and you use the chase car to block off baddies or push the vip car. hilarious to get out and hose people chasing the vip with that MG.
oh, and the fact that no one can drive in apb is fun, too.

TTK is what you rate guns on in any game. Although not in the APBDB sense since you have to account for spread.

It's a pretty standard thing to rate a weapon by how quickly it kills.

Have you ever played against a hacker? You know how you can beat them cause they can't just insta-kill you?
Have fun being headshotted by any gun and dying in half the usual time with real hitboxes.
Every game is that way now.
pretty sure DPS/DPM has been a standard for weapon damage.

Oh my god, this is the worst reason ever to not add something.
A better reason would be because the game is supposed to be based around tactics more than aim.

Well of course so, that's the converse of what I said. Because the average time to kill is the same for every gun, regardless of aim, even the most skilled shooters can be outdone by teamwork or even just brute force. It makes the game what it is.
Of course, in the future has nothing said about the servers.
apparently putting in "ULIKEUS800K" in the redeem codes section gives you a free cannibal mask and a NFAS Dvah (probably 3-10 days)

Can imagine a lot of people running with NFAS and the same amount whining about "nfas noobs"
pretty sure DPS/DPM has been a standard for weapon damage.
that's only in games where it takes minutes to kill people
FPS games always measure lethality in time to kill, as a measure of how fast you can fire off the lethal amount of shots since your enemies will almost always have the same amount of health
Redeeming ASYLUMJUL13 also gives you a chance to win lifetime premium.
Redeeming ASYLUMJUL13 also gives you a chance to win lifetime premium.
Thank you. I won 3 days, which were added to the premium I had gotten yesterday as my Retail Pack arrived. I ended up going with the Whisper, but its somewhat working for me.

have you uhhh
played the game?
yes actually
I'm a silver. I got creamed by several bronzes (and I'm pretty sure there was a green in there), then proceeded to kick some gold ass. If that doesn't tell you threat's useless I don't know what does.
So is this game a lost cause?
I've been outta the loop for a while.
Redeeming ASYLUMJUL13 also gives you a chance to win lifetime premium.
So I logged into my G1 account with Google Chrome to redeem this. And it says I have no characters. Which is incorrect.
Is this because I linked with Steam?
Isn't Premium account-wide? Or do you mean it's not letting you do it? It didn't ask me which character to select, just said I won 3 days.
oh nope, apparently it's because my steam is linked with my old email address and i'm locked out because they need to reset the password.
WELP TIME TO CONTACT SUPPORT
is there a crim clan set up on joker? i know there was an enforcer one, thats why i still have my custom charge cisco or whatever
