All Points Bulletin: Reloaded V8 - when are they gonna nerf stun guns?

all depends on if they can keep the game alive till that engine upgrade happens.
Well they're working on the servers, functional servers and optimization would be a start. That'd open it up to more people.
Adjustments to the firing mechanism of the weapon allow the bullets to pierce most objects they hit. The act of piercing an object however heavily reduces the damage it does to that object, as well as reducing the damage done to subsequent objects hit.
STATS :
-Pierces through targets.
-Damage reduced 30% per pierce.
-Reduces Hard Damage by -50%
Also, I'm glad to see them actually trying. Here's hoping it actually lasts, this time around

They probably will. However I still think that APB:Reloaded should die but hell.. I might even start playing again if they manage to fix the engine related issues for good.(Though playerbase will be the same since its a F2P game).

I fail to see how less damage across the board is helpful, why are there no upsides? :v:

it does less damage to vehicles, not across the board.

I can't take a member of Pony Time seriously after many members of them TK during the Chaos district event, but at the same time, it showed me how shitty Colby is.

Upside is target piercing
ALIG and bullet piercing.

The pack also introduces a new weapon from Somatic Advanced Tactical Systems, who seem like they're trying to match a Joker Gunworks favourite. Get your hands on a unique variant of this new weapon by completing the Gold Fright Club Challenge in Asylum!

In that article they're saying that those orange pumpkins are returning, were they in at some point before? It makes it sound like it's kind of like a collectible where you have to find and destroy all of them, is that really what it is? Cause that sounds kinda cool.

They were scattered around Asylum in the 2012 release, you had to shoot them to progress the role
So, the new gun.
New shotgun or new marksman rifle?
Halloween event, combined with how things in general seem to have gotten better a little the last 2 months will make me fire this up in the near future. I admit I jumped the gun when I though the original staff being fired/let go/quitting/being murdered/etc meant the end for this, but things are slowly shaping up it seems.

No doubt it's an SR-15 style rifle:
The JG is already overshadowed by the CSG, and is not very popular because the CSG exists.
The CR-5 is a direct copy of the N-TEC, though the N-TEC is still more popular so Nekrova would have been mentioned instead.
The RFP is not popular anymore, it used to be until they nerfed sprint-shooting with it.
A line of Joker pistols are mentioned in lore but don't appear in game, automatically disqualified.
The SR-15 is the only weapon that is popular, and not a copy of an existing weapon.

It's starting to seem like the original staff being fired was a good thing. I think we can all agree the original staff were shit and didn't do their jobs very well if at all.

Hell just look at all the things the old team promised us, that the new team is actually getting done.
I thought to take advantage of the Joker Jackpot, and the magic 8 ball disagreed. I said fuck you, bought G1C and this, is what happens.

This all happens whenever I swap to my enforcer too, it's good luck.
What they should do though is rebalanced the Obeya, it's not even a threat anymore. I say increase the fire-rate , keep the relative bloom, and up the hard damage slightly. Make it the ATAC to the OCA, similar but different, each good in their own ways.
Sooo, two new guns are hinted at in the notes.
[t]http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-qSzig3OuOj0/UmHDLUztxOI/AAAAAAAAABE/2jgsrsQ7NJc/s1600/SneakPeekPunk.jpg[/t]
The characters in the picture are indeed holding two guns that have silhouettes that don't look similar to anything that came before.
The one on the right does actually look a lot like an AKS-74U, note the short barrel and large, curved magazine. And, there are stats for an NTEC SMG, http://apbdb.com/items/Weapon_Test_N-TA/ here.
The girl on the left is probably holding the new Somatic gun, notice how sleek it looks.
It seems to have a rather long barrel, and something that resembles an ACOG scope. Doesn't look like a direct competitor to the SR-15, but rather a middle ground between that and the CR762, I'd say. Probably a long-mid range semi-auto, if we agree to call the SR15 a short-mid and CR762 a short-long.
Looks wise I'd actually say it kinda resembles the CR762 without a silencer.
Though now that I think of it, the CR762 uses a full on sniper scope, this one's only got an ACOG.

The right one looks nothing like an AKS, you can't even see any magazine and no AK has that kind of weird slanted handguard.

are you kidding?
sure it's not as good as prenerf, but the buffs they did to it make it pretty decent and I can pull just as good scores with it as I did before the nerfs.

That weird slanted hanguard IS the magazine, he's holding the gun tilted.
Besides, if it weren't, it would have to be a bullpup, and we all know the devs when it comes to new animations.
[editline]20th October 2013[/editline]
either way, it's some kind of short rifle
are you kidding?

Really? I couldn't use it, everyone I talked to said it sucks, and every time it's been used against me, it's no more a threat than an N-TEC sniper, with the added bonus of them being easy prey if I get close. I haven't used it within the last month, but when I did, the accuracy degradation was so bad that you couldn't fire anywhere near the max cyclic rate or you wouldn't hit anything passed 35 meters.
I'm not advocating it be brought back to pre-nerf levels, because that would make by lovely LCR lose it's stranglehold on the marksman tactical role. I was just thinking it would be the longer-range Joker, at the cost of requiring marksmanship mode to use effectively, hence my ATAC / OCA comparison. It already looks like the Joker's older brother (which makes sense considering the history, but that's another topic).

Ooooh, yeah, now I see what you mean.

I see that the Colby .45 isn't available for purchase on armas now, was it a limited release or something? And was it any good?
Besides, if it weren't, it would have to be a bullpup, and we all know the devs when it comes to new animations.
The Anubis is a bullpup :v:
I've never seen one reload though, and I've only seen it in action once, but it was a tense mission and I was too busy actually defending to sit there and watch the Anubis user.

Nah, it was limited time apparently, It'll be back eventually. It was terribly overpriced anyway, fuck.
As for handling, it was pretty much the old FBW with 7 rounds instead of 15, or that's what the stats say. I never had the opportunity to use one.
Can't you get it from the Joker Store though?
Anyway, it handles very differently from the old FBW - it's quite a bit more accurate in marskmanship mode, dropoff only kicks in at 40 meters, and has a rather large amount of recoil to it, so if you want maximum rate of fire, you're going to have to realign your shots really really quickly.
It has a very specific playstyle to, it involves lots of precision OR lots of reloading OR lots of switching between your guns due to the fact that you are only allowed to miss twice a magazine if you want a kill. Though if you use it for what it's intended for, which is shooting targets at medium ranges or finishing off wounded opponents, it's pretty great. It's not as versatile as an FBW or as reliable as a PDW, but it gets the job done, and it's, well, it's a Colt 1911. Who cares about anything else.

APBDB lists it as being available for 700 joker tickets and $4100, but I don't think I've actually seen it at either the joker store or any contacts.

Yep it's there, talk to Wilde in Social
Oh, ok then. Too bad that joker tickets are totally not worth the trouble of getting them considering how short all the leases for them are.
Yeah I feel like getting JT is way more effort than the payout.
