Christmas patch tomorrow Pretty much the same as last year except this
New Mode - Minigames - Snowball Wars: 1.14.1 brings a new type rule set to APB called "minigames". Minigames is a new system that allows us to create new types of events. The initial version of this system supports a new and unique mode that was specially created for Christmas: Snowball Wars! Snowball Wars takes place in separate districts which, instead of missions, run a Snowball Fight mini-game that will direct all players in the district to a unique location for a massive snowball fight! (Snowballs and OPGL snowball launchers are force equipped). At the start of each snowball fight, the system chooses a district block (from a list of eligible blocks we define) and informs players that the snowball fight is there. Once a player sets foot inside the block, they are PvP unlocked for as long as they stay in that block (plus a few seconds after, to avoid exploits). While PvP unlocked, players can kill each other in order to decrement the lives for the other team (defined by the number of players in the district when the snowball fight started). If there are no players of a side in a block (represented by a flashing faction logo on the HUD), then their lives will slowly decline (the minimum number of lives for a snowball Fight is 10 per side - when there are more than 2 players per faction, every available player in the district will add 3 to this count). Once a team has 0 lives left, they lose the fight and all players are rewarded small amounts of cash for taking part. A new role will also be incremented, which is scored in the following way: 1 point for taking part (killing / assisting / dying honourably at least once) and an extra point for winning. After the fight has finished a new block will be selected and a new snowball fight starts! Complete the new "Snowball Wars!" role to earn a Santa Hat and the new Reindeer Antlers for your character!
Sounds pretty fun
Wow, that snowball fight thing is pretty much exactly what I wanted them to do, that sounds pretty fun. [editline]11th December 2013[/editline] Wait, what if you don't have either the snowballs or the snowball launcher unlocked? Can you only enter those once you've unlocked them?
They're given to everyone at the start of the event iirc.
With the new processor I got yesterday, I can now play this on High with most of the bells and whistles on. Before it ran kinda choppy on minimalist unless it was an empty server. Now it runs decently save for network lag and an occasional second long pause when streaming a different part of the city. Best of all my guy doesn't just freeze in close quarters like he used to.
Oh good, now I might use my STAC-10 again. The patch reduces the volume of the gun.
They also relseased two version of the TAC-20 right about now; one with a folded folding stock and one with a unfolded folding stock.

best hat also some neat new stuff added in todays patch

I just realised now, TAS20 reads abit like TASCO, which in real life, makes horrendously bad scopes :v:
Free stuffs if you provide a good reason: http://forums.gamersfirst.com/topic/338869-leos-christmas-gifts/

I'm torn between "it looks hideous" and "not too bad"
I'm finding it a little odd that they spend resources modelling these very specific weapons that make up like 1% of the playing field. :v:
Not only that, but after they nerfed shotguns, what do they do? Release more shotguns :v: And the Stock got a heat shield modeled onto it, shouldn't a cooling jacket be a more appropriate mod then?

It makes more sense to have a heat shield to tackle a hotter barrel better, than to have the heatshield give you a longer effective range. Besides, a cooling jacket in reality, does nothing to improve firerate, it only allows you to fire more rounds over a longer period of time.

Spray & Pray is a valid tactic :v:

Regardless, "Light Bolt" would have been a more acceptable name for it. And with Light Bolt they could have had a "Heavy Bolt", slower ROF but reduced accuracy degradation.
If they should have made an opposite of Light Bolt, can't tehy just make a Heating Jacket? :v:
Although now that I think of it, the only weapons that really suffer from significant accuracy degradation anymore are the N-TEC and STAR...
I feel like the ALIG has an issue with it too, but I only started using it yesterday

i find it funny that the one with the shorter mag tube has the extended mag mod
Spray & Pray is a valid tactic :v:
I was talking about the old name for the rate of fire upgrade
I feel like the ALIG has an issue with it too, but I only started using it yesterday
It depends. I'm not sure how it calculates accuracy degradation, but if I'm reading the stats right, the ALIG's first shot is the most accurate, with all subsequent shots less accurate but not losing accuracy over time. This is only for the stock ALIG, I think HS adds degradation to each shot but none passed the cap (first shot more accurate, all following less accurate), while CJ adds degradation to every shot beyond the cap (effectively removing the cap) which makes weapons like the ALIG very inaccurate very quickly. This is just my personal experience though, I could be wrong. The ALIG imo is one of those weapons that's best stock, the only mod I can really suggest would be 3 Point Sling.
Functionally Identical to the OBIR, the FFA does however lack the scope of the Obeya weapon, resulting in less zoom while aiming. The 'BullShark', has been adapted to fire in four round bursts, but less powerful loads need to be used to stop the barrel wearing out with the increased throughput. A banana magazine is also used, allowing more rounds in the weapon without requiring longer to load or unload. They do however take up more space, reducing the number you can hold in reserve.
FFA 5.56, new weapon in the files. Reskin The (I suppose) ARMAS preset version has a longer burst due to a mod(with reduced damage per shot) and a Banana Magazine (the curved one, see AK-47) I definitely hope we'll see the Banana Magazine as an unlock, altough I fear that it might be simply overpowered due to how the game works
i find it funny that the one with the shorter mag tube has the extended mag mod
I use MP3 whenever I get a CR-5 because it bothers me slightly having a short magazine but 30 rounds. CR-5's with EM3 are too much for me to comprehend. [editline]13th December 2013[/editline] I'm sure that the 4 round burst and banana magazine are weapon specific and will never be released.
I was talking about the old name for the rate of fire upgrade
Ahh, I didn't get to play the RTW version because I was stuck with a broken gaming rig and bad school-laptop at that time. I've only played the G1 Version. [editline]13th December 2013[/editline] Now that I think of it "Spray & Pray" is a better name, because it implies you r focus less on aiming and more on spewing bullets. G1 just probably tought "Ok, let's find a common part of machineguns, that only machineguns have"

Guys. You're missing the point. Male Hoodie with the hood down. In the files.
