Can you use... say... mayonnaise machines as fences that never decay? I want to make a mayonnaise fence around my coop that doubles as a dual access wall of egg processing.

The earth crystals will be hard to get but you could, you'll have trouble getting to the vertical "fences".
First day of the Fall season and the sound track for that season is beautiful.
Winter is also good. The both of them are probably my favorite tracks in the game that I've heard. (Which I'd think is probably all of them considering how far I am in the game but who knows.)
Is there any way to move structures once they're built? Is there a mod for it?
I found a master slingshot when I got the 70th floor and it requires stones for ammo. The thing is, I have like 60 stones in my inventory at the moment and whenever I try to use the slingshot it says"no ammo" even though I have stones.:what: Is this a bug or am I not using the slingshot correctly?

Same with the upgraded fishing poles. [editline]asd[/editline] Also, to the guy making mayonnaise maker walls, keep in mind you'll need fence on either side of the gate for it to open.
Why not? The earth crystals will be hard to get but you could, you'll have trouble getting to the vertical "fences".
Earth Crystals hard to get? What? Traveling between levels 1 and 40 of the mines got me drowning in those motherfuckers. I sold them all. Probably had like 25-30. Didn't know mayo machines used 'em.
Honestly probably +1 ore. It's a guarantee, vs a "chance" Then again the "chance" might be worth more depending on the gem It'd require a lot of testing to see which is on average more profitable.
Geologist seems to proc pretty often, more often than not I get 2 of whatever drops. Ore seems common enough to not really need the boost.
geologist arguably has better options at rank 10 too
Can you use... say... mayonnaise machines as fences that never decay? You can farm it daily in the secret area above the wizard tower
Is there any way to move structures once they're built? Is there a mod for it?
The only way is to demolish and rebuild them. There's no mod for it but that'd probably be doable though if you could find someone to code it.
At first I was worried about what I would do when winter came, but after toying around with this for a few minutes, I'm really excited about the opportunity to re-arrange my farm
nah, open ur save file and mess with the TileX and TileY values, no mod for it yet, but we've been working on an api for a while now that'll make it pretty damned easy for people to mod that in.
Is it actually that simple? Everything I keep reading on the forums about editing saves makes it sound like you really don't want to be messing with them much unless you actually know exactly what you're doing. And I've seen Zoryn mention that you guys are working on a better api but they never really go into details. How much easier will it be for people to make use of?

sitting outside penny's trailer with my mayonnaise machine in my hands get out here you bitch so i can give you enough melons that you'll start repairing my fences
Is there a good way to get clay? It took me two days of constant plowing to get 3 clay so I can build a silo. If I ever need to build another one, I'd rather kill myself than try to get 10 clay that way.

You can use the hoe on them to dig and they often give like 3-5 clay AFAIK.
New API literally lets us do whatever we want with the game at this point, can adjust the behaviour of anything, pretty good, should be a public release in the next couple of days with a ton of mods.
Is it still going to require working in Visual Studio to code mods? I'd like to look into trying my hand at it but for some reason Visual Studio really doesn't like my computer. C#'s debugger randomly freezes my computer even after fully uninstalling and reinstalling the program.
The world is way too big and I barely ever see the villagers walking around.
The world is way too big and I barely ever see the villagers walking around.
Especially since most of the foliage and scenery and stuff is non-interactive so there's not much reason to all the fluff. It'd be cool if they occasionally did shit instead of the same thing over and over. [sp]~GAME THEORY~ What if the town isn't aging but you and your farm is? ~GAME THEORY~[/sp]
The combat could use a bit of improving, got swarmed by a bunch of cave insects and couldn't kill them fast enough.
The combat could use a bit of improving, got swarmed by a bunch of cave insects and couldn't kill them fast enough.
The combat in early dungeons is all about knowing when to quit. If you're getting swarmed, climb the ladder and continue the next day or go back in from your last reachable floor. Also, always use swords, they're better than all other weapon types.

I don't see any more earth crystals at all past lvl40. [editline]7th March 2016[/editline]
Also, always use swords, they're better than all other weapon types.
wat My maul/hammer (whatever it is, the wooden one) is WAY better than any of the swords I can get at the same level. The alternate attack is a super heavy area of effect ground pound thing that sends shit flying way back, it's +2 speed just like the iron sword, and does like 3x the damage.

They get way better than all the hammers/mauls I ever found. The block is also super useful against pretty much everything. Once you have the Obsidian Edge or whatever it is called, you'll never even look at hammers again. At least that's how I feel.
Jesus I need to get some sprinklers going. It takes more energy than I have to water all my crops even with a steel watering can and +7 watering can efficiency
Jesus I need to get some sprinklers going. It takes more energy than I have to water all my crops even with a steel watering can and +7 watering can efficiency
abuse the baths, they make it very easy to do very energy intensive tasks all day as long as you don't take too much time doing them and don't mind missing out on socializing.
abuse the baths, they make it very easy to do very energy intensive tasks all day as long as you don't take too much time doing them and don't mind missing out on socializing.
I am, but it's still a pain in the ass going down to 1-5 energy, running all the way to the bathhouse, taking a steam, then running back down and using another 50% or so of your energy. [editline]7th March 2016[/editline] Holy shit So, with the mauls, if you right click and then hit 'c' before the hammer hits the ground, you'll do this MASSIVE AoE attack that hits everything in like a 3 tile radius and seems to do 3x damage.
How do you get the standard fertilizer which just uses 2 sap? I take it you don't get it at the start of the game as its not in my crafting menu..
