Oh jeez, how can I get a pumpkin before Spirit's Eve? It's the 19th...
Well if you can't find any other way, try checking the wagon shop down by the lake near the wizard's tower. I'm pretty sure what she sells is all random and I've gotten my requested item a few times from her.
Oh jeez, how can I get a pumpkin before Spirit's Eve? It's the 19th...
Why do you need a pumpkin before Spirit's Eve? Also why weren't you growing a few patches of 9 pumpkins from the start of fall anyway? They're super lucrative. Especially if you get a Giant Pumpkin. Turn them into Pickled Pumpkin for lodesemone

Ah well, if the traveling merchant can't supply me, there's always year 2 to get it right.

Does it ever actually rain in the winter? I'm trying to buy the pendant from the old sailor to marry Abigail. Or am I fucked and have to wait until spring?

It bugs me a little that the marriage pendant is pretty much available at random. It's a neat lore point, but I'd at least like other options too.

Abigail is best romance
Fucks sake. So I hit lv5 fishing and chose the one to have crab pot resource requirements reduces, since I plan to take "crab pots never catch garbage" and just have pots EVERYWHERE and rake in the dosh. I expected it to make it require only 1 or 2 iron Instead it's 2 copper instead of 3 iron, which is actually MORE inconvenient because I have like 57 iron but no copper because I transmuted it all to iron.
At least copper is super cheap and easy to grind for. If you've made it to the bottom level of the mines you can just ignore the monsters, bring some stone to build stairs, and blitz through each level, looking for copper deposits and building a staircase/ladder if it's one of the maps where you have to break every dang rock in the cave to spawn the ladder normally. Plus, copper is only 50/75 gp. Cheap as heck. A hundred bars is only 25,000/37,500
Now that I've gotten into the groove of it, it's a lot of fun. Midway through Summer 1 and I'm already at level 85 in the mines and have the best fishing rod. My farm is still really lackluster with only a few plots of crops and no animals. And I've completely neglected the townspeople. At best, I'm at 1 heart. I really don't care all that much for the townsfolk since I rarely ever see them.

Also yeah I'm grinding copper easy enough. Now I need charcoal lmao gotta grind under level 40 for those dust monsters again [editline]8th March 2016[/editline]
Now that I've gotten into the groove of it, it's a lot of fun. I keep finding myself going back to floors 40-60 to farm the little dust sprites to keep my supply up. Also I may have made too many preserve jars and bee hives but that's besides the point.
Can someone explain how the fuck to place gates? I put it down in a 2x1 gap in a fence and it won't work like its supposed to. It just looks like a post. What am I doing wrong

NVM im retarded.

I've got 21 kegs running ATM, want to bump it up to 24 so I have 3 rows of 6. 6 preserves jars, want to bring it up to 24 as well but those fuckers use coal. 3 bee hives. Again, want to bring it up to 24. Makes a shitload of money. grow hops in the summer to make pale ale all through fall, winter, and spring (pale ale is best money from the keg, highest $/day). Grapes in the fall (again, best $/day). In the summer, alongside hops grow blueberries. 3 blueberries per plant every 3 days, makes a shitload of money. In the fall, grow amaranth (seriously one of the best crops in the game) and/or cranberries.

price of ore got changed in a later update. [editline]9th March 2016[/editline] which I personally think isn't great, I always felt ore was pricey enough as it was, and felt it needed lowering. At least for ores, since they're base products. I don't mind final products like iron blocks and all that being a bit pricey.

Me and Sebastian confessed our love to each other beneath the moonlight and has accepted my marriage proposal. :joy:
My wedding with Abigail just happened to align with the flower festival, though I couldn't dance with her :unimpressed:
My wedding with Abigail just happened to align with the flower festival, though I couldn't dance with her :unimpressed:
That's apparently fixed if you opt for the beta
My wedding with Abigail just happened to align with the flower festival, though I couldn't dance with her :unimpressed:
This is exactly why I haven't played for the last few days. Gog version can't opt in to the beta so I have to wait for the 1.05 update to release then finally make its way to Gog.
Starfruit wine goes for a pretty decent price. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/547557414800556724/EB53FAD7E48DBA13A7FA555FAEE2703441E6B859/[/t]
