I just love this track. All the songs are so good. I think I'll have to buy the soundtrack as well.
Honestly I should have done this by day three.
Having a path really makes it easier to navigate the devil-forsaken shithole that is my yard.

I spent about 4 in game days just clearing mine of all the shit. I got enough wood and stone to last a lifetime.
Huh, apparently once you get married you're unable to get any other bachelor(ettes) above 8 hearts. Makes sense seeing as their ten heart events tend to involve them stating their feelings for you but it feels a little odd when you can get anyone else up to ten hearts. Also if you give gifts to the other singles then your spouse will actually be upset apparently. Abigail dropped all the way from 13 to just under 12 hearts when I gave some prismatic shards to several townspeople.
I am hoping there would be a mod in the near future where getting married doesn't make your wife\husband jealousy incarnated. and less irritable.
I just bought it last night and played a few hours. I'm pretty aimless though, I've never played any similar games before. Are there any very general things I should be aware of the Harvest Moon people would have known before even starting?

I pretty much haven't touched the bottom half of my land for almost 2 whole years. It's like a solid chunk of wood and rock now :v:

I can only really get in along the edges, since nothing seems to spawn/grow there. IDK why the trees are 99% pines, either.

Or so you think.
Anybody figure out what that "teleportation ring" lookin' circle in the desert is? Has the towers and such in the Northeast corner?
[editline]/[/editline]
Nvm, figured it out. [sp]Take a Prismatic Shard and stand in the center, get the Galaxy Sword.[/sp]

Woah what's with the giant mushroom? I didn't have any of those on my property when I cleared it.

I think they only grow in really dense forests. They don't drop anything special, mind - pretty much exclusively red mushrooms.
[editline]a[/editline]
Oh, I just Googled it and apparently you can also [sp]put a tap on them and they'll poop out random fungi, like the fungi boxes in the cave do[/sp]
Where do you get Prismatic Shards
The fucking characters in this game, even if I'm not romancing her it was pretty cool to get better friends with Haley to find out she's [sp]not a total bitch[/sp]. Or finding out the motivations and secrets behind characters, like how Abigail [sp]is pretty into adventurey, occulty shit and video games.[/sp]
It's not particularly deep but it's a nice touch finding out more about each character as I become friends with them.

Is that new. I had a tap on mine and it only shat out red mushrooms.
Damn it. I wanted to hear the story of the winter star from Willy but I accidentally hit 'no' and now he won't talk to me :saddowns:

I think my chickens like Robin. She's upgrading my Coop and I go in to collect eggs, pet them, and feed them and they're all clustered around her sitting down and clucking happily. :v:

I think that selection box might be bugged; I've heard other people say the game selected no when they could swear they hit yes. It even happened to me, and I know for a fact I hit yes.

Shit, is that what it takes? And here I gifted my last one away. Guess it's time for another trip into the skull cavern. I need some more materials for a second iridium ring anyways.

Yes was clearly highlighted for me and I was hovering directly over it and still managed to say no.
I feel kinda sorry for Pam
Boy I'm sure glad all of my hard work cutting down trees, removing rocks, and cutting grass/weeds before and during winter paid off when spring of year 2 comes and my entire farm is covered in shit again
Is there any benefit from food at all with stat increase if it goes past 10?
God damn it you old Mariner stop cock blocking me!
I've waited over a month for your raggedy ass to show up and sell me this dumbass overpriced pendant so I can get married and now you're telling me my house isn't fucking big enough?
How the hell do you know, you spying on me? Maybe you should go spy that it's being upgraded and will be done tomorrow but IT'S NOT GONNA FUCKING RAIN TOMORROW
TAKE MY MONEY

Effeciency and for fishing, the bar gets bigger I think.
I was told to use hoe on worms sticking out of the ground to find clay more easily.
So far I've found 3 lost books, several plants and 2 clay! Goddammit.
I swear hardwood is a nonrenewable resource? Like how are you supposed to get it once all the fallen logs and large stumps are gone?

There's a renewable source but its hidden.
How to I marry one of these waifus? Are there scripted events you need to hit like in Harvest Moon? I got one of them.
I gave one of them gifts all Spring long and than she wouldn't dance with me at the Flower Festival..
I wanna die.
I gave one of them gifts all Spring long and than she wouldn't dance with me at the Flower Festival..
It's basically impossible to succeed at that in your first year. You have to have them up to 5 hearts before they'll dance with you and unless you get really lucky with missions you can, at best, get up to just around 4 hearts (a bit under that iirc) if you focus on them from the beginning, talking to them daily and giving them two of their favorite gifts each week.

I'm the opposite. All I want from worms now is artifacts and only ever find clay(Or the same rusty spoon every single time). I'm sitting on 250 clay and keep turning it back into more kegs. Wherever Lewis stocks your shipping items has to look like the Indiana Jones "Top Men" warehouse except entirely filled with booze.
Found two neat little easter eggs. Credit to the second one goes to a friend for making me aware of it.
It depends on who you're going for. In my first go I was going for leah and she really digs salads, so I'd buy her 2 salads every week and talk to her every day, I had 4 hearts with her by the dance and she said yes. The minimum for a yes is 4 by the way.
Wiki had inaccurate info until some time recently then. It used to say 5 hearts. But yeah, you can get 480 friendship points by talking and 360 from loved gifts. That's 840 friendship points when each heart is 250 points. You'd still need at least two missions (150 points each, one would put you 10 points short) completed to reach 4 hearts with her. You could get Haley though theoretically (though her loved gifts are really difficult to obtain in spring) since her birthday is on the 14th of spring. A loved gift on that day would net you 640 friendship points while a normal one would net you 360. (It's 4x the standard amount of points the gift would give.) That'd be 270 from normal ranked gifts, 360 from her birthday if you use a normal ranked gift, then 480 from talking for a total of 1,110 by the festival.
Where does Penny go during the Summer?
Also where the hell is Leah anyway? I can never find her.
