Worm tiles are just a guaranteed drop of some sort. You can obtain clay from other tiles still, it's just a lot rarer. With an iridium hoe I tend to get one clay from every 1-2 fully charged shots.

Invest every cent in crops, especially the ones that regrow to save time and make more cash, when you get enough money (or during the Winter) go to mine, get materials, upgrade tools and than build sprinklers to automate your farming-money-machine and free you up to flirt with the ladies or something.
I'm on my second year and I'm only now making Sprinklers which I think is the only way to go. My farm is too big to water by hand now in one day so I can't expand anymore and I spend over half the day on my farm watering so I really need to automate it.
I've spent most of my first year exploring the mines and fishing, I've already done a lot of the town hall collections by doing so now I have access to things that are gonna help a ton when I actually start farming.

Going Joja is actually the worse route. The bundles cost more than the materials would have, and you don't get the mini rewards.

Being able to skip the fish tank is kinda tempting though; shit's pretty tedious without the wiki.

I don't really see that as cheating. There are so many fish in the game you can't be expected to find them all yourself.

Removing it allows you to [sp]pan for ores in the river, once you remove it you get a cutscene with the fisherman who gives you a pan that you can use on special shimmering spots[/sp], it's kinda nice I guess, never used it my self.

The community needs to make up their minds about whether they want to use Storm API or SMAPI. There's good mods for both of them that don't exist for the other and there's still some time till actual mod support will be implemented to the game itself.

Seems like a kinda underwhelming prize in my experience. I've never gotten anything really worthwhile from it and the spots you can use it are rare enough that it really doesn't warrant spending an inventory slot on carrying it around.

The creator of SMAPI is working on and supporting Storm because SMAPI wasn't really a well planned out attempt. From what everybody has said Storm is superior in every single way.

Man, the flies are OP as hell when they swarm you. Guaranteed death. I got killed, woke up at 1:30, lost 650g, then obviously couldn't make it back to the farm in the 30 seconds it took to hit 2am, so I passed out and lose another 650g.
