I still think you're in denial about penny. She may have good intentions now taking care of the kids and trying to be better than her mom, but she'll be worn thin by the harsh realities of life and eventually she'll start looking to alcohol to escape. She can't take care of the kids forever, they'll grow up and that will be one less thing to distract her. Her mom may have been the same as her when she was young too, you don't know that Pam was always this way.

Seriously though, does it really matter which portrait art anyone uses?
I mean, the text is good enough to understand the character's emotions and personality without having to see their face. the way I see it, if ConcerndApe wouldn't of even implemented portraits this whole thing would've still worked, and it might've worked better when you don't have to question the character's looks when they lay out their personality for you.

The most egregious error in my opinion is that Abigail's sprite has a bow in her hair but her portrait doesn't. Kinda a strange oversight when it's a detail that stands out a lot on her sprite.
