imsorrywhat
The bowl for your pet?
The bowl for your pet?
Maybe I'm just crazy but iirc it normally says the dog/the dog's name.
Yeah it does, I think thats the dialog if you didn't take a pet so I assumed you just don't have one. If you have a pet then thats weird :v:
Wait, are you suppose to water your animals?
If you don't water your chicken's everyday they wont lay giant eggs as often and take longer to grow.
Maybe I'm just crazy but iirc it normally says the dog/the dog's name.
Sometimes dialog will not work like how it should. Penny has said to me "Welcome home, ⇦. How was your day?" a few times. And one time she even called me by someone else's name :(

Oddly, the damage seems to only show after marrying you.

You can fill your dog/cat''s water bowl. It has no effect on the game though. Your pet won't be effected one way or the other. It's just a little detail.

You just can't check your pet's happiness by right clicking them like livestock for whatever reason.

Is there any way to know what people like and dislike as gifts? Because I'm really trying to play nice with this game and it's mechanics, even the stuff that doesn't get explained well or at all, no walkthroughs or guides or anything, but this one is trying my patience. It seems like pure trial and error 'throw food at people constantly', and I don't know that that's worth tolerating.

I've read that the water bowl is purely cosmetic and the interaction with the pet itself is what determines their happiness.
The Wiki page for each character literally lists everything they love/like/hate.
That's what I'm saying. I'm trying not to use wikis or walkthroughs, and learn everything manually. I was saying, is there anything you can do to figure out things people like in game without resorting to guides, or is it pure trial and error?
I love how everything in this game sounds absolutely stupid when you back out of it but when you're in to it it's insane. I'm talking to my girlfriend and I'm like "DUDE I AM UP TO MY ASS IN CLUTCH, THE SUMMER LUAU IS IN 3 DAYS AND I NEED SOMETHING READY FOR THE POTLUCK" and it occurs to me how ridiculous that is also I have had this game like a few days and I've already put 24 hours in to it :pudge:
"How'd you and your wife meet?" 'Well she's the shopowner's daughter and I just kept showering her in barely precious gemstones until we started dating, then after a few months I gave some old mysterious hobo on the beach $5000 for a shell on a string necklace to give to her so she'd marry me.'
I heard that eating gemstones gives your hair a glossy finish, I guess it's true
I was gonna originally just have her standing there confused saying "IDK how to pool" but Abigail would probably know how to play pool from always watching Sam and Seb.
Well, I lost my good sword (Obsidian Edge), now I have to save up for whatever is at the adventurer's guild. I stuck with a lead rod and it sucks.
i wish i hadnt finished the dungeons so fast i feel like i have no reason to go back anymore except for ores
Man I really am not a fan of the Winter music. Same problem as Snowdin Town in Undertale. It's not bad, but it's just way too bittersweet for my taste. I don't want to get depressed every time I change zones dammit
According to SteamSpy Stardew has sold over 900k copies on Steam. That's pretty phenomenal considering the number for top selling games in 2015 peaked at around 2m I think. When Multiplayer gets added, I bet it'll easily crack 2m before the end of the year (Depending on when it's added).
Oh lord I should have known about the Stardew planner before I started placing buildings like it was no big deal everything is worse than when I arrived to the farm it's all so assymetrical
