IIRC you can change building postion in a config file in the game folder.
IIRC you can change building postion in a config file in the game folder.
You can, but it's tedious as all hell even when you only have a rather small farm just because of how much of a mess the save files are.
....................I just found an Autumn's Bounty in the trash of the saloon. In SPRING. Above and beyond it being out of season, I don't think that is even on the menu of the saloon. ........I am well aware that what, if anything, you find in trash is totally random.
Shame that you don't really do anything with your spouse on Christmas. They're just sorta there. It's kind of a problem still with all of the festivals really. A cutscene where you're eating with them and their family would've been a nice way to end the day. [editline]9th April 2016[/editline] You know how the Wizard and Linus are standing outside bounds during Halloween? Well apparently they have unique dialogue if you use cheats to move them to you. I'm now earning ~10k a day, is this the big boys league? Also are there any other ways to get hardwood than just going through the forest every day? You get pitiful amounts of it :/

Sometimes containers in the mines drop hardwood as well but its not too common

I've finally found what annoys me about tools in the game, the worked tile doesn't change unless you actually mouse over it, just moving the cursor isn't enough. It's even worse for combat.
So... um... I fermented apples and got apple wine... uhh? [sp]What's cider?[/sp]

I'm only just at the end of summer right now so I don't know what else can happen but I wish they did more with Joja Corp. In reality, most farms are owned by big companies who squeeze every dollars out of their farms + put really strenuous contracts on their farmers. There's also cases where non-corporation farms get shut down by big business through lawsuits claiming the farm was using their seeds which many big company's have a almost-monopoly on. I feel like it would be neat if Joja Corp offered to buy your farm after you make a certain amount of money but if you accept, as a downside you're forced to grow only certain kinds of cash crops and you have quotas to fulfill and you have to do a quest if you try to get out of your contract I feel it would add to the Walmart Vs. Small Business theme they got going on

Consequently, now that I'm done with the community center, it's just making mad money off my blueberry greenhouse farm. Sadly I'm going to tear the whole thing down to optimize the blueberry output once I get some more iridium sprinklers.
What is comedy
Not that.
Does the traveling wagon always sell [Sp]rare seeds[/SP]? I'd like to know so I know if I caught a lucky break or not by them being on sale two weeks in a row in Spring. Also, can the preserver quene multiple things at once or is it one per preserver? I ask with 200+salmonberries and like 12days of Spring left, but I don't have the preserver yet.
Oh lord I should have known about the Stardew planner before I started placing buildings like it was no big deal everything is worse than when I arrived to the farm it's all so assymetrical
Well, I decided to buckle down, examine other people's farms and figure out what I liked and what I didn't like, and take parts from them then fill in gaps with my own ideas and creation in the planner, and actually make something for once. [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/54123195/SPEEDWAGONFARM.PNG[/t] Here's the finished general blueprint for Speedwagon Farm. As I advance in the game I'm sure this will be subject to change but I really like what I've made here. The only thing I'm really dissatisfied with is the random ass garden plopped in the center. I like it for the aesthetic purpose, but I wish I could think of something a bit more functional to do with it so it doesn't feel like a big waste of space. Then again, I guess a central garden that you can walk in is kind of fitting. I've been working on paving most of the roads, and they're pretty much done for now. Now I just have to get all the fucking barn, coop, and silo out of the god damn way and rebuild them in their proper places! I'm actually kind of proud of this, because in most games in similar crafting veins, I find myself building nothing but placeholder homes and little cave camps that look basic and ugly and, well, like an in game version of game dev placeholder art. Usually they're just for pure functionality and resource gathering at first, but I find myself trapped using them forever. I was doing this with Stardew until I stopped myself and decided to use the planner and deal with the hardship of replacing and moving everything I had made up until that point.

I'm barely using half the available space. My plant's section is easily movable but I've put down a lot of trees. We're approaching winter, so I could tear down the entire orchard and replant with them all having time to grow before the next Spring. I'm making crazy money off my blueberries and other harvests right now so I can totally afford to do it. Winter I guess is a good time to get a fresh start.

I have to make a new one in the proper place and demolish the old ones completely, and damn if that's not a sink of money and resources. Plus, my current field of crops is also in the way of the path downwards from my house, and I can't afford to get rid of that. I'd just bite the bullet and go for it man. It takes effort but it comes together quicker than you'd think and it looks great, feels great, and it gives you something to do every day in game rather than just being like "Well the farm's taken care of but ughhh I don't want to go mining or fishing right now" and it's only 9 am"

I'm waiting on some rare seeds to grow. I only have 5, and I figure that if I have the optimal setup in the greenhouse with respect to my sprinklers, I need 96 seeds to have a greenhouse full. I'm working on getting more iridium sprinklers for outdoors harvesting. I guess I can invest in a horse stable just to feel like I'm using more space, or I can significantly expand the respective fields of my coop and barn, then invest in a lot of grass starter. I won't be spending as much over the winter so I can definitely save money for some major crop investments for the upcoming seasons.
"Dear mom. Those cookies you baked and sent were delicious. They also gave me the energy I needed to fend off the slime and bugs that were attacking me. Best regards, your son/daughter". "Dear son/daughter. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the cookies. As for the slime and bugs, while I am glad that my cookies helped you, you shouldn't be playing video games until you are out of energy. Love, Mom.". I think it would be funnier if the main character's mother was unaware of the monsters in the mines and just thought the horror letters the MC would send were describing a video game.
I thought you couldn't grow trees like that in the bottom left? Don't they need clear tiles on all side?
That's p much just a lazy representation of "This will be a forest type area". There'll be grass and whatnot filling in a lot of gaps. It'll look more natural that way anyway. I've seen it done so I know it's possible, but I don't know the specifics of tree planting.
I thought you couldn't grow trees like that in the bottom left? Don't they need clear tiles on all side?
No that's just fruit trees. Regular trees can and will grow into a densely packed wall of hatred.
No that's just fruit trees. Regular trees can and will grow into a densely packed wall of hatred.
Yeah I made the mistake of just putting a SHIT TON of them on like 50% of my property and now it's a mess. At least I got wood for years.
No that's just fruit trees. Regular trees can and will grow into a densely packed wall of hatred.
They (mostly) won't fully mature though so it's not as bad as it could be.
Non-Fruiting trees take 10 to 12 days to grow from being planted, as long as the tiles in a two tile radius remain clear. They will grow at a reduced rate if other objects occupy part of this area and will not grow beyond a sapling if there is another tree directly adjacent.
My son decided to run off into the void [t]http://i.imgur.com/mWF4xIY.jpg[/t] He was off the screen a few seconds after I took this. I don't think he's coming back
rip son
Sacrificing child to the void increases crop quality.
Pierre is a cheating fuck in the Fair. You shouldn't get to make a grange if you don't grow or produce any of the stuff on your grange
