The trains supposedly drop coal and stone? But I've literally never seen any after one passed
i've only seen one once, and it was the end of the train, and that was when i was right next to the railroad area entrance and i ran in right away. It comes and goes very fast, i usually just ignore it.
The trains supposedly drop coal and stone? But I've literally never seen any after one passed
They randomly drop shit. Best I've found was a geode. I don't bother anymore.
True enough. Can't argue with that. [editline]14th April 2016[/editline]
it would be cool if there was also a cheating mechanic where if you try to have a relationship with someone else while you're married and then your wife would get really mad at you or something like that [editline]p[/editline] do eggs that chickens lay hatch? or should i just sell them?
Does anyone ever use the train? I usually have a vague idea of what I want to accomplish the next day and when a train comes by I already have setup a bunch of shit to do so I ended up never using it. It takes to the desert right?
The train is supposed to randomly drop goodies but it frequently doesn't, and even if it does it's just like a single piece of copper ore I just ignore it completely, the (waste of) time it takes to walk there could be spent earning several times more resources than you will ever get from the train
I only bother with the train if I'm already in the Linus/Robin area when the notification comes up.
I'm almost to year 3 and I still can't decide whether I want to get with Sebastian or Abigail even making pros and cons lists isn't helping :v:
The trains supposedly drop coal and stone? But I've literally never seen any after one passed
Supposedly if you are quick you can get hit by the train. Granted all that's supposed to do is take a chunk of health and knock you backwards.
Supposedly if you are quick you can get hit by the train. Granted all that's supposed to do is take a chunk of health and knock you backwards.
That actually does work, yeah. I've done it. I want to try pinning myself in between the invisible wall of the train exit and the train and see if I can't get pinned for a goof.
You can also just hit the train with any tool and the same effect happens.
it would be cool if there was also a cheating mechanic where if you try to have a relationship with someone else while you're married and then your wife would get really mad at you or something like that
I gave Abigail a birthday present and at the end of the day Penny said "I heard you gave Abigail a present, I don't have to be worried do I?" Or it was jealous. I can't remember since I only got it trigger once.

I can't remember since I only got it trigger once.
"Am I going to have to be suspicious of you?" is basically it. It's a dumb line. If you avoid talking to your spouse until they have a new line, usually the next day, they won't say it. But tbh, if you've kissed your spouse that day, they should not trigger the line upon giving gifts to other candidates. C'mon Abigail we've been married for almost a year, you should know better.
Back from the gym, games downloaded, time to start it up.
Hey, does fertilizer work for just one crop or does it continue to work as long as the soil is tilled? I'm trying to figure out if quality fertilizer is actually worth it. [editline]e[/editline] to buy, that is
Lol. CA made it so you stand next to your spouse during the jellyfish event, but he didn't make it so they even acknowledge it happened. I spoke with Abigail afterwards in bed, and she said, "Did you have a good day? Did anything exciting happen?"
Hey, does fertilizer work for just one crop or does it continue to work as long as the soil is tilled? I can't tell you precisely how long it stays for though.
It seems to last until the soil dries out and turns normal.
So what should I be doing in the beginning? It kind of threw you into barebone. I planted the couple seeds you're given, and I've been trying to meet most of the villagers. I'm on day 4 and I've met 23 villagers. What else should I be doing?

You can go to the mines, go to the docks and obtain a fishing pole, clear out your farm for the space as well as the wood/stone. As the days progress, events will also start to occur.

I'm on day 4 and I've met 23 villagers. What else should I be doing?
The first thing you should do each day is work on your farm, water your plants, so on. As days go on, events will happen that will open new kinds of things to do, and you'll be introduced to most of the villagers. Don't blow your money on gifts early on, only when it's comfortable for your wallet. There's mining and fishing to do, and you can make good money or bulk food from them. Try to get in to darker waters because you get better quality fish that way. Try to find time to chip away at your farm's havoc. On rainy days, go nuts and do whatever you want, usually they're a great time to go mining or whatever. You've also got a TV, and you should check it daily. Weather reports are nice, but there are also shows that pop up during the week that offer you helpful advice and cooking recipes, Oh, and when it comes time to build buildings and shit like that, DO NOT haphazardly place it wherever. You'll find yourself wanting to organize your farm later, only to realize you've just made a mistake that will cost you thousands of gold, several days, and hundreds of resources to fix. Stardew Planner is a great tool to help you plan out your farm (but you don't need to worry about that until you start building more permanent stuff.)
I gotta agree that the whole "Evil Corporation" thing with Jojamart is way under played. The worst things they do so far are [sp]the whole going to Pierre's and handing out Jojamart discount coupons and destroying the Community Center if you buy a membership[/sp]. If nothing else, I expected them to at least have their own corporate themed events in an attempt to draw attention from the annual events the town celebrates to cur favor. The Jojamart guy as far as I've seen doesn't even show up at any of the town events I've been to so far, though him not actually living in Stardew Valley could be a factor.

Is there a type of storage besides what I can carry? Because all I have to carry things right now is the hotbar.
Also, how do I get to the mines? [editline]15th April 2016[/editline] Nevermind, got a letter from Joja saying they removed the landslide to get there. Really enjoying this game so far.
Moving buildings was the one thing I was happy to use that cheat program for. I really didn't want to have to demolish and rebuild a building that just seems unfair and we should really have it as an option in game.
Is there a type of storage besides what I can carry? Because all I have to carry things right now is the hotbar.
Just regular wood chests. Unfortunately there's no ability to make big chests like in Minecraft, but they're pretty fine on their own. I like to have chests dedicated to one specific thing because it keeps stuff from becoming a hot mess. Here's a tip I didn't find out about until like halfway through year 2, there are these little wiggling worm things in the ground sometimes, dig up those spots with a hoe, you'll find random stuff there but you can also find lost books which are then readable in the library and offer helpful advice on the game. Aside from that, don't buy a Jojamart membership unless you want to go down what is essentially the "asshole path" in Stardew Valley.
Still wanna know when the dev is gonna put in the Linus marriage option.
Still wanna know when the dev is gonna put in the Linus marriage option.
I don't know if you're joking or not, but he won 3 place of 4 in a recent Twitter vote. So.. not anytime soon.
TV: Guess what kids! Its Blackberry Season! They are practically falling off the bushes EVERYWHERE!!! TV: Apparently the spirits are sick or dying or something with the amount of good luck they are bestowing today!! I find a single blackberry lying in the middle of a road, nothing else. Not complaining and well aware things could be better the next day. Just thought it was funny.
