Marinie and blue hair girl shouldnt be marriage options, they already have relationships with other people you'll notice as you play the game. [Sp] (The clint thing would not be as funny if he paid you to give a n amythest to your wife)[/sp]
[sp]Emily and Clint's 'relationship'[/sp] seems pretty one-sided, though. I agree with Marnie though.
I just hope CA will actually change a bit of whats going on when you marry[sp]Emily. Enabling a dialogue scene with Clint where he confronts you about it and you talk it out would be nice.[/sp] It would kinda suck if things just progressed as if nothing happened.
I wouldn't mind the marriage candidates being able to marry each other. Give a slight sense of urgency to it. Maybe they start getting married on their own come the third year. I liked kinda having to compete with other people in Harvest Moon.
I think CA explicitly said he wanted to avoid that in order to avoid putting pressure on the player. Not being able to marry the character you want after dozens of hours in a playthrough would kinda suck wouldn't it?
However after marriage, you should totally be able to hook villagers up with each other.
for hooking up with Emily Clint should challenge you to a duel and you two fight to the death over who gets her.
It'd be just like real life. If you wait around too long to tell someone how you feel, they'll probably find someone else.
Then again you can fight monsters in a mineshaft filled with expensive ore so realism probably isn't a valid point
If Stardew was like real life I would not like it.
I was actually expectin the people in the village to have some other kind of relationships than just hanging out. Like after you get married (or if you wait too long) pairings would start hooking up together

It would have been neat but I can see why that was left out for favor of other features.
I also have to apologize for seeming biased against Pam. Since my biological and stepfather were both alcoholics, I guess I just have a subconscious hatred for alcoholic parents.
Also *you died because she drove off a cliff for some reason* cracked me up when I posted it.
this light-hearted farm life simulator needs more romantic disputes and anime titties

God I can't wait for that major content patch.
After taking it, I can see why the [sp]Botanist[/sp] perk is named as such. [sp]It's basically only really useful for foraging flowers and shells. Since ingredient grade has no effect when preserving, brewing or cooking, foraging gold star ingredients is kind of pointless. Yes, they sell for more as gold, but they sell for even more if prepared. It IS nice though for the occasional non node mineral and mushroom though[/sp]
That man has earned a break
Absolutely.
Why are levels 5 and 10 on the skill tab bigger than the rest? I'm level 4 in fishing and I was fishing all day and feel it's gonna go up to 5.
On a side note, very good fishing day. Walked away with 5 gold starred fish and 2 silver starred. I sold the rest off, the rest were a mix of silver and plain fish.

That's when you get to pick a perk for the skill.
Also one quick question, I've been doing some googling and stuff regarding my past question and people have been saying that Cauliflower is the best to plant in the fall and unless I'm completely pulling a blank and doing horrendous math then that would be false, no?
Like, if I buy one cabbage seed for 80g it takes 12 days to grow fully and I can sell it for 175g/crop.
But if you buy 80g worth of Parsnip (4 of them) you are making 120g off of them every 4 days and you can do this three times to match when a Cauliflower is done growing resulting in 420g in that 12 day period as opposed to the cauliflower's 175g. Am I missing something that wouldn't just make everyone grow the fastest growing crop for each season?

Apologies for that, I know you guys didn't really want to engage last time. I've just been in a very math-y mood with this game trying to figure out the best ways to make the most gold.
I'd love to help but I'm honestly so out of the loop with the meta. I just do whatever, with the exception of the best items for festivals.

What are the best items for festivals? Is that like Strawberries? This leads into my final question I guess lol my bad for all the questions, but can I move an already planted crop? I have a plan of how I want my farm to look and I'm at the point where I'm about to put down my first coop but my strawberries are planted exactly where the coop is supposed to go.

For [sp]grange displays, you want at least a gold star item for every single category of item. Fruit, vegetable, artisan good, forage, etc. The grange display as far as I know, takes value to mind always. So if you catch a Legendary fish, regardless of what color star it has, save it for the grange display, and it will be your submission for the fish category. If you have more than 1 item for a category, you get less points.[/sp]
For the [sp]Luau, you just want the highest value edible (but not toxic, like Pufferfish) piece of food I believe. Gold star cauliflower is excellent for that.[/sp]

Yeah but I can't be arsed to do the math on everything so I just play it safe with all gold stars.

for the grange [sp]each "item" is its own category. you can go with all fish if you want as long; as you have no duplicate fish you wont lose points. also, a gold star on it is worth the same as the item being 200[/sp]

Cranberries are best for fall. Thankfully the internet has already made up a list of values for each crop for each season.

Wait, really? Huh. I've been misled then.
I get to pick a profession for fishing. Should I go with the fish worth 25% more or the resources needed to make crab pots gets reduced? Fisher or trapper?

Fisher by a mile.
I get to pick a profession for fishing. Should I go with the fish worth 25% more or the resources needed to make crab pots gets reduced? Fisher or trapper?
i went with fisher and it gave me a pretty big money advantage for awhile, but i got bored of fishing right when i caught all the fish, and i wish i took the crab pot ones because they save more effort in the long run.
If you're not adverse to save editing, you can change your profession temporarily until you do what you wanted to do with it. i.e. catch all crabs then change back.
I got reallllly lazy with crab pots. I keep forgetting to check them.
