http://stardewvalley.net/post-launch-progress-update-version-1-1-and-more/ I can't wait for the 1.1 update. Should be fun playing with friends.
Ooh, if that picture is anything to go by [sp]we're getting void mayo finally, as well as coffee beans/brewing. Dunno what's uo with that big totem thing but I'm stoked[/sp]
Apparantly he's having chucklefish do the multiplayer. I bought the game for the singleplayer, it sucks for those who wanted a good MP experience. Also watch chucklefish's localization cause massive drama.
I got this game the day before yesterday, I'm already a level 10 fisherman, fall season of the first year is beginning and now I'm trying to figure out how best to make a lot of money and excel at the various professions. There are some fish, for example, that I can't seem to be able to catch despite having an Iridium Rod and being max fishing level, like the fish that appear at levl 60 and 100 of the dungeon. Can anyone offer me any tips?
Try to work toward the greenhouse ASAP and fill it with blueberry crops.
Try to work toward the greenhouse ASAP and fill it with blueberry crops.
I'll have to wait for the next year, but I won't miss any of the crops needed then, that's for certain. What's notable about blueberries?

Granted Cranberries and cranberry products are worth more, but are two berries per harvest.

Make sure to bring more than one trap bobber in case it takes too long.
Will animals move through saplings? Because I'm working about their utility as substitutes for fences.
Will animals move through saplings? Because I'm working about their utility as substitutes for fences.
Wow that's fucking smart. Didn't even think of that. Digging this game. I've put dozens of hours into it now. I feel sad that I jumped on the Stardew Valley train this late because the thread is dead, and probably won't pick up again until 1.1.

I have absolutely no trouble with the fishing game, and in fact find it much more money-producing than any of the other ways of getting money in the early-early game. The dungeon underground lake contains those brick-fish that sell for an absolute truckload, and with a bite tackle you'll be reelin' em in and making lots of useful dough.
I got this game in the summer sale, so far I'm enjoying it a lot.
It's been an uncomfortable while since i've been hooked to a game. I'm glad i bought this. This emo kid is creepy as fuck though: [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/486769343077445600/84A09CADDF2E39D9648CE7EF3B258E46809D51E7/[/t] He goes behind me and stays there like a fucking demon everytime i go fishing.
I hope Multiplayer gets put in soonish, I want see the disaster of Facepunch farm in person.
Do you guys use the whole plot to plant crops? assuming the whole place is cleared from rocks and trees.
Even if you could afford to have the entire farm covered in sprinklers (you don't have enough stamina to water everything on your own), sowing and replanting every new season would be an absolute chore. Most of the space I used for trees, animal pens and whatnot. I did end up running out of space though
Is it multiplayer or just co-op?
competitive stardew valley
I think it's 4 player co-op that's planned.

Damn, you beat me to the punch.
The 1.1 beta is out, but only for Steam users and I bought it off GOG. fml

I can't decide which new farm map to go with!
1.1 might not come out until tomorrow on GOG. GOG is suffering.
Damn it I have uni to finish don't do this to me
I can't decide which new farm map to go with!
The shed! The shed! I for one am eager to get home so I can update and begin my Beer Baron adventure anew.
All the cash crops are balanced I guess now, although ancient fruit greenhouses -> wine are still the clear winner. Perhaps this will encourage people to explore ranching as an actual profession now, with the ancient fruit only in the greenhouse
