Are there any mods for this game that actually give the dog a purpose?
I remember in Harvest Moon that the dog would help round up animals to go into the barn at night, anything similar?
Aw yes that is perfect. I've just really gotten back into the game in the last month or so on Switch. I just couldn't get invested in the same way on PC (Harvest Moon always seemed like a hand held title to me). However, with MP coming I'm sure that's gonna change.
I decided to actually start playing this game after buying it and not touching it for a year. I opted to mostly ignore farming for now and focus on fishing.
Started making loads of money compared to earlier attempts with crops after quickly grinding the iridium rod around Day 15 in Spring. Nabbed a diamond and iridium band inside a fishing treasure chest in my first few hours.
I knew the ring was decent at least, but you can imagine my feeling when I later realized that the game casually handed me the best ring with almost no effort. :v:

I really curious how energy and day transitions will work in multiplayer. Will it be a minecraft kind of thing where it won't transition until all players are in bed? What if somebody passes out from exhaustion?

I think the host is the main farmer while the other people will be farmhands, so I assume if the host goes to sleep then it either ends the night, or you just slooowly regenerate energy while laying down. Latter makes more sense if one person wants to do stuff at the farm while the other is wooing Linus.
With the upcoming MP in mind I would love to establish it with you guys.
So I made a little census what Platform we are all playing on

Spellbound isn't related to ConcernedApe though. Same publisher, different devs.
True, I didn't realize that
1.3 beta is here
So does anyone wanna start a farm together on mp?
Me!

other than some occasional crashes, multiplayer runs pretty well
not really a fan of how the drop-in drop-out works, though. basically each farm strictly has 3 farmerhand save files, and they are tied to the cabins. if you destroy a cabin (via robin), then that players save data will be removed. so if, for example, you have 3 friends join your farm, only those 3 players will be able to play on your server until you destroy and rebuild one of the cabins. not only that, but you have to pay (albeit not a whole lot) to build a cabin. its like 100 gold and 10 wood but when you're just starting out and you have friends who are dropping in and out its quite annoying. i was hoping it'd be more like minecraft where anyone can drop in and drop out and have their own save file.
so you really have to dedicate a playthrough to specific players if you dont want to delete specific players progress
I bought it for Switch finally and already sank too much time into it
