Is there any point to getting back into space station 13 at this point?
From what I can tell, every server that isn't "RP hugbox emote-your-breathing" has a rampant powergaming problem, to the point where Valids McSalads' thirst for blood is so strong they will always beeline for the top-tier everything, knocking everyone over in their way, PM admins for any decision they think may or may not be bad (and get an answer beyond "use your brain idiot" giving them OOC information hotlines so if they slip up and land in hot water they can just shout "NO IT'S OKAY GOD TOLD ME SO").
Go on goon, the admins there don't tolerate idiots afaik.

I think that people get too emotional with their 2d spessmens, its just a game. Its rediculous how angry people get over ic shit.
Observing so many Changie games, I've finally realized just how shitty of a gamemode it actually is ROFL.
Even on big servers, half of the station is dead as the Changies spam recall because they haven't met their objectives.
No good way to get people back into the game without going through a lot of bullshit geneticist/surgery shit.
Worse than Rev.

It really is, the fact it pretty much mandates rampant murdering from the get-go meaning sevel people can be dead with no hope of recovery five min into the round and have to sit out during the hours long recall spam fuckfest is just terrible.
At least in Shadowlings the 'Victims' get to have some fun and keep playing.

It's not even an interesting antag type to play or fight against anyway, for the most part it's just grey-tide murdering with a re-spawn button. Unless they go horror form (or Bioarmour+lingblade) it's no different from trying to kill a guy normally except you have to drag them to the Gibber/Crematoium/medbay to have their brain removed.

I wouldn't say the powergaming is much worse than it once was, I reckon the issue is that most people are just too unrobust to fight against it. Aside from Goon, back quite a few years ago, pretty much every server I went to had some form of powergaming going on. Generally, though, people would always find a way to kill or disable them, especially if they were antags.
RP servers had it the worst, because the admins and friends powergamed to the point where you'd be banned for stopping their power trip.
I'm still kinda surprised that /tg/ did away with Security Borgs so happily and quickly. I guess it was too much trouble to have to plan for borg interference while doing dastardly bastardly things.
