No fuck you man, you told me to go there, so i'll do it. Send me the IP i'm going in
Here you go
I thought that was because the blobs found out you could just fuck off into space and the crew could not do jack shit to stop you because you could expand to victory size and never have anyone see a SINGLE blob tile ever.
Naw, it's because blob is in essence a shitty gamemode to begin with. Works better as a random event, like a space vine alternative.
Naw, it's because blob is in essence a shitty gamemode to begin with. Works better as a random event, like a space vine alternative.
I did like the idea of a thing that steadily consumes and subverts the station, in my head I imagine some grey goo scenario where the nanobots can infest things like power wires, APCs and other machines for advantages and the objective would be to consume X amount of station matter as opposed to reaching a set size. Perhaps it could expand VERY slowly but can make machines into player controlled agents to help it out... I basically had in my head the idea of a decent conversion type antag... sorta. -It should not be utterly dependant on the other players being good, not everyone is robust. -It should allow dead players back into the game somehow. -It should not convert people directly, rather using their "corpse" as a way of allowing a new player into the game, this is to discourage people mass suicide rushing themselves into whatever it is. -It's objectives should require it to have an active presence aboard the station but not restricted to just players so it can't just maintcamp to victory. Things like "Eat/Convert/Defile 10 APC'S" "Gather (a large number of)units of power" "Place 5 macguffins on the station." -It should be rather overt in it's operations and appearance so that your average Hippie player can quite blatantly see that this is a hostile thing and needs to die.
Naw, it's because blob is in essence a shitty gamemode to begin with. Even the terrible fire blob in the middle of space can be stopped with a group of people dedicated to stopping it. The Hippie playerbase just can't work together well enough.

And when they called centcom for the nuke codes, I ate the nuke.
Goon's version of blob seems pretty good, to me. It removes one of my favorite aspects(nodes/self-expanding areas), but it's got better assets(looks like an actual singular blob instead of a mass of veins and muscles), you can start anywhere on the station(you start as the overmind with no blob tiles, and can choose exactly where your first nucleus will be, instead of being restricted by your ID), and it requires more strategy(you can't just rush into a room and drop a spore-maker and a node, you have to keep an eye on how people are trying to take you out and react with the appropriate type of defensive blobs, your only way of attacking people NOT face-to-face with a blob tile are launchers, which do piddly damage unless you actually throw some reagents into them). You also have to turn your normal tiles into ribosomes pretty often, or else you're gonna have a long ass cooldown on spreading.
I always fancied a necromorph/flood sorta infestation, where the infestation would actually just cover the station in biomass and make it generally unpleasant for people to go through these areas, as with the con of corpses mutating into killing machines and working to cause even more death.
found the white ship and created a base on the lavaland on tg station with a bunch of guys shits cash
Anything but goonstation or whatever its called anymore.
:what:
:what:
I dont know, for some reason every time i join that server it is just pure chaos. I just get killed by some random dude in the first 5 minutes every time. It just seems like a huge deathmatch. Don't know if its just bad timing on my part or something? But that is what happens every time i join it, walk around a bit then get shot, stabbed, disarmed and beaten to death whatever the people can find. In no other server have i ever gotten killed as fast as goonstation. Even in hippie i don't get killed like that.
Uh I'd argue Goon is more collected than Hippie. You're just very unlucky. [editline]24th April 2016[/editline] To be fair rarely anyone does shit near the arrivals shuttle on Hippie mainly because of how "disconnected" it is from the main station. Only reason people would be in arrivals is either because they just joined, they're rushing the escape pods, or someone found the white ship.

There's a handful of people who always use the same name, that are shitters(One guy spent an entire round with a Bowling Suit and a Meat Cuber running around knocking people down, then turning them into Meat Cubes. He did this to everyone until eventually someone who knew he couldn't be killed by his own meat cube showed up and stunned the shit out of him, but by that point the dead chat was already filled with a lynch mob), but overall, it's pretty friendly.
Heads up: LLJK2 is currently running a remake of the old Donut 2 map from 2011! It's pretty rad.
hey lawli, where did the zimbabwe video go?
Are any servers looking for coders? I used to code for FP Station a while back and I kind of miss it.
hey lawli, where did the zimbabwe video go?
I set it to unlisted since I don't do griefing stuff in SS13 anymore. I have a few more unlisted SS13 videos as well.

Has an interesting incident happen last night. Rod event triggered and since z-levels are beyond human comprehension it looped continuously. Being a shitler mime I decided to take advantage of the rod's destruction and get into atmos which were in its path to get an atmos hardsuit. There were like four dead people in the rod's path inside atmos. One sec, one atmos tech, one random dude and a catbeast, plus a stunbaton and cuffs. So what started as a routine arrestation of an atmos tech and his accomplice turned into a tragedy. Made a couple of chairs in the rod's path and buckled the unlucky corpses to them, and watched as they were penetrated several times over and over again. And I also learned that being hit by the rod dozens of times at once unequips all your items too, so I got like three eguns from the sec officer.
i wish they were public because theyre so great but i understand u unlisting them if theyre a scar of your past to you
I wouldn't really say scar, I still remember enjoying doing this back when I made it, I just don't want to give off the wrong kind of vibes now.
Heads up: LLJK2 is currently running a remake of the old Donut 2 map from 2011! It's pretty rad.
I stared down code in notepad++ for 2 days to get it to compile, so I had to sell my soul to the devil to get it to run.
On Lifeweb, how do you sharpen weapons with small rocks?
The discord is probably a better place to ask
idk if u guys all know already, but theres a platformer called barotrauma, made by the SCP game guys, and its inspired by SS13, but takes place in a submarine its the closest ive ever seen a game come to replicating the feel of SS13 http://undertowgames.com/barotrauma/ [editline]10th May 2016[/editline] its also got p good AI
It's been known for a while, yeah. There's also Unfortunate Spacemen, which is reminiscent of the WC3 map Parasite.
