You know, why is anyone suprised when the ultrasnowflakes and literal brain damaged people in their own safe little weirdbox server, make shit like that happen
I mean put a bunch of children in a room unsupervised and you're gonna come back to something that resembles hell. It's basic logic here, folks.
I just play on Goonstation
I just play on Goonstation
Every time I play on goon I get completely overwhelmed by everything on there and it mostly ends up with my body in space.

Working as intended. Just enjoy the ride and if you want a bit more control over the wheel, take the time to check the wiki and don't hesitate to ask people questions.

A goon round is considered a dull affair if there is more than %30 of the station left unscathed.
Citadel is surprisingly fun to roleplay on though.
As an extremely angry, furry-hating, xenophobic, skinhead, neo-nazi assistant.
Yeah, I went there and played a commisar while there were no admins for about an hour until I got banned. Summary executions are the funniest fucking shit.
So I was playing as the wizard with Efficient Disintegrate, Magic Missile and Efficient Ethereal Jaunt. I have killed a few people and completed all my objectives when I noticed I have came down with appendicitis.
I went to maintenance surgery to preform self-surgery to remove my appendix which involved removing my clothes and thus loosing my spell casting ability. Half-way through the surgery a cargonian knight walks in and kills me before I could put my clothes back on.
Also citadel has fucking manchildren for admins, one of them ignoring ahelps when sec was killing people because he didn't like the guy, then when the dude took it to the admin help chat it went like this "I didn't kill you I was firing disablers" "Was the color of the laser blue" "yes" then the log got posted he was talking out of his ass, dude said "I didn't know that it would kill" said admin then says don't do it again, meanwhile when I took the nuke disk as a joke and returned it in 2 mins, admin was trying everything to get me banned even when other admins and both parties told him to fuck off
Or the time when a admin thought their server was hrp and bwionked me for wearing a traffic cone

I still hate them scam artists.
what did centration do or not do?
i haven't been keeping up with ss13
I can't take /tg/ seriously anymore because the movement feels like molasses.

Does heavy RP even still exist? In all these years you'd think these retards would have caught on that it's the least fun way to play the fucking game
It's honestly a refreshing change of pace
Since the station isn't constantly in massive peril and having something occur actually becomes interesting
That is unless you play a job which requires paperwork and shit, then it's just boring
Welp, time to inquisition the fuck out of Citadel. RP shits usually aren't that robust.
I still hate them scam artists.
I think you've giving Noms too much credit here. He didn't have the talent to make a game and bring a solid team to function and I think he kept lying to himself that it was eventually gonna work. I know that everybody that worked on Centration had genuine enthusiasm, it's just that you can't keep a team together with dreams and hot glue if you don't pay anyone and half the team rotates every 6 months.
I mean, I won't stop you calling it a scam if you want. It's only fair after all the promises that were made. I think the only one at fault here though was Noms.
It's honestly a refreshing change of pace
I used to think the same until I realised how much of it is really just following someone else's script. Take Baystation for example, full of people (including the admins) trying to make up their own stories and getting very mad if you modify their plot, often to the point where they will try to metagrudge you out of the game. I've had some pretty funny experiences with that, actually.
RP servers in general seem to attract angry snowflakes like that in droves, even cool ones like Urist McStation have a few.
What's the oldest code around? I mean like, the earliest release of SS13 that still works. I wanna dick around and see just how much is different.

The first Goon release is where "modern" SS13 really began, but other than that there's OpenSS13 which is from around 2008.
Suggested making an activatable game mode during super high population shifts where Centcomm is controlled by (whitelisted) players rather than badmins such as myself.
You know rather than having 90 assistants. It'd make ERTs more organic but I got shotdown w-whew by the other badmins. One day Hippie station. One day.

Whitelisting rarely goes down well outside a highRP environment. It just promotes the creation of little circle-jerk groups and admin bumlicking, not for being good players but just for in game benefits."
So near the start of this semester one of my students at uni offhandedly mentioned that it was difficult to learn unix when he had never touched anything close to a command line OS, jokingly I responded with "I actually learned the basics of a CLI by using the ingame computers on SS13 like 4 years ago" (the (old?) goon ones)
I've now introduced about 1/3 of the class to the wondrous world of being a huge fucking nerd and its great, some of them have even started playing dwarf fortress.
TL;DR ss13 helped me in first year computer science, I really need to find time to get back into this shit.

There are two type of players:
Those who take the game seriously.
Those who do not.
The drama between communities and within is what makes the icing on the cake.
