What are good servers and servers that I should avoid like the plague?
citadel station is pretty good and you should play there
:smug:
I noticed on Hippie Station, whenever excessive bodies hit the floor, admins end up calling in ERT.
I like the whole idea of the ERT being summoned to the station on Hippiestation when someone murderbones too much in a normal round. It makes perfect sense for one, because you'd think a company would notice their workers dropping like flies on the radar for whatever reason, though normally the admins usually roleplay NanoTrasen as some thing completely lacking empathy for anything. Secondly, it's much better than banning murderboning.
It also invites some roleplay opportunity in some respects. The two times that I had played ERT, I was put under specific conditions to do this or do that. Arresting a clown who had pretty much littered the entire kitchen with countless corpses that he shoved through a gibber (who later blew himself up with a bomb inside his pack which I somehow endured point blank and remained standing while he blew a hole in space, after successfully arresting him as security responder and bringing him to the commander), for example.
Murderboners might as well consider it a challenge for them in the end. If they can't take the heat, then they should consider laying low... and actually let players play the game.

To be fair when they called it when I was playing in my recent video, there was only about 14 people on due to it being early morning with two rogue borgs and a traitor roboticist.
But yeah I like it when they do that.

Oh yeah, murderboning is especially petty when it's low population.
I understand you were only doing it because the roboticist ordered you to though, so I'm not gonna judge you. :v:

Well I kinda tried to change it up by trying to kill them by using fire since lasering them to death is boring, I had to for the space guy though.

Except that most of the time the ERTs are fucking garbage. One round one of the admins thought it'd be smart to give one of the ERTs a rifle. He slipped on an traitor's spraybottle, the traitor picked up the rifle and murdered the entire ERT and stole all their gear. The following round, same guy was antag again, a ling this time, and the ERT got called again(although it was to deal with something completely unrelated) and I got to be in it as a security officer. Oh boy.
We had to deal with a cargonia, nothing too bad, just a few nerds with shotguns and maybe the odd taser. Our lone engineer did not know how to open the door leading into cargo. Once he handed his toolbelt to the commander, we managed to detain everybody no problem(although our medic didn't get the memo on the whole non-lethal part and lasered somebody into crit instead of tasing them but w/e) and all was good. Then once we got to the bridge, the aforementioned ling pulls out a revolver(side note: fuck the revolvers that spawn in space and/or the fact that you can print out infinite ammo for them so easily), kills the commander, shoots me three times in the face(because I was wearing an ushanka instead of my helmet), the medic heals me, I get shot again, get healed again, I put my helmet on and it devolves into a fight that only 2 of us managed to come out of alive, and the ling headslugged and survived.

Now when a roboman stuns, cuffs and beats me to death 2 min into he round normally I get mad... when he then drags me to robotics and borgs me I will happily stand still and let him Emag me. If he THEN asks me to go get more people to make a borg army I do so with gusto.
Being killed is shit because you don;t get to play any more, if someone gives you a new opportunity to play then I don't mind at all.

Last time I played HoS I sat in my office and using the announcement system to declare an increasingly large lit of things illegal over the course of the round including every possible variant of Anime and Anime hair (IIRC a sec borg and a service borg teamed up to tase, cuff and shave anyone with weeaboo hair)
So, me and a friend went on a russian fallout station. As we couldn't understand anyone and they couldn't understand us, we stayed far away from people as possible. In the end we came to a small part of a vault, powered it up and got an RCD, making a little fort.
We needed a name.
Fort Dickman.

This outside image is after we used the booby traps twice. That's why everything is a fucking void and charred. Also some of the bodies are missing from that image as we needed food.
In the end we went to the vault, which was wide open and completely deserted. So we took parts.
In the end we had RD, Chem, Cryo, Cloning, a kitchen, autolathe, medical, and a panic bunker.
Near the end the server was pretty empty so we got bored. So we found a facehugger and I soon willingly aylmaoed myself as a prank.

Soon after that we called the train and I deathgasped endlessly. This is the image of our little panic bunker with basic supplies and shiz.
10/10 fun round.
I'm going to comic con in october as a generic greytide, but I feel like I'm missing something. Needs a toolbox covered in fake blood and a way to generate the adminhelp BWOINK.
Could probably use a small blue toolbox, a crowbar and a golden ID card attached to your suit
You could make a blue emergency tank and clip that onto your waist as well. Don't forget a gray backpack.
I guess that's one issue with SS13, it borrows from so much else and is so modular that it's hard to pin down a character that would be specifically recognizable from it.

Also you need a earpiece connecting you to the intercom and you have to shout "HELP CAPTAIN RAPING ME IN MAINT" every minute
