This was fun.
this game is awesome, been playing it for ages.
however im so fucking unrobust, mostly because of my connection
Yogstation is supposedly made to be "Friendly to all ages" so they seem to be really persistent on banning profanity and all that
It's stupid
[editline]14th February 2016[/editline]
Then again last i checked it was more than a year ago, but i doubt that it changed
Because it's pretty shit. The playerbase is awful, the admins and players are incredibly incompetent and can barely do their jobs, and I generally find rounds to be extremely laggy.
They got some really robust and competent players though like Bekons, Keek and Fluffy. I am a yog player and imo the biggest annoyance is that the admins get offended so easy over stupid shit, always gotta look thrice before you say something IC because it COULD be seen as something offensive. Like the time I got a 4 month ban for 'ERP' because I pda'd someone "Eat my ass" because they annoyed/harassed me.
Isn't Yogstation the same place where kids can become admins?
yog is only good for griefing.

Hippie is like the antipole of Yog:
Shit players - great admins
I always refer people to Yog because of the relatively safe environment for new players to learn /tg/ stuff.
Oh god I am reminded of Rocketstation back a few years.
That was hilarious. Oh my god. There was an atmos tech who made an absolutely glorious hellmix and the players were running around like headless chickens not knowing anything, while the rogue AI electrified everything and gleefully assisted the atmos techn, who had also ensured singulo was wired into the grid.
As for yog, I need to at least be able to tell people to blow it out their ass when they are being dicks. Never tried it.
To be honest I am into goon at the moment. I am not mad on pods and stuff, but it feels fresh, while whenever I go on a /tg/ derivative I get sad because /tg/ sucks and hippie is ok, but the playerbase is terrible.
I think yog has one of the best codebases ever, smartest players and admins but worst rules.
hos comes at me and starts trying to kill me

you dont fuck with doug
People on Hippie are hilariously stupid when it comes to wet floors.
So often you will see a guy slip over on a wet floor by a wet floor sign, get up and run onto the floor time next to him and slip over on that.
I saw a guy slip over four times and all I did was point to the wet floor sign and silently continued cleaning up the blood.
They stole and spaced my Janicart... but I knew there was a spare in maint so i got that and continued mopping... they took away my SECOND janicart, but I was wetting my mop from the bucket in my backpack the whole time...
Then they finally got my mop... but I wasn't scared, I went to the public garden, put all the fruit in the bio-generator and made myself a damp rang, and kept on mopping.
Yet still they ignored the wet floor signs and still they slipped on the floors, it's funny how none of them know how to walk and all I did was keep pointing at the wet floor signs.
Speaking of which, it's always funny to get ahelps about wet floors. You have no idea how many people bitch about the janitors.

The day I get a round as tator Janitor is the day the station BURNS... Don't certain chems apply to someone if they slip over in a puddle of them? I'll have to test with super acid(forget it's name these days) and water.
I make an effort to robust any janitor who mops with fucking water.
Space cleaner aint even hard to get fuckers

I mop with water out of choice, simply because it's your own damn fault if you slip over by a wet floor sign... Plus I have caught a nukie or two this way because they always run and NEVER buy no-slips.
fill your bucket with 50 units of ammonia, fill the rest with water and you have a slip free solution
fill your bucket with 50 units of ammonia, fill the rest with water and you have a slip free solution
I'm not sure if that works any more. Last time I used space cleaner to wet a mop it still slipped people and that was months ago.
Fill your bucket with space cola and start mopping with that. Its like removing rust from a coin
It's just like with flashes
In the Heavy RP server i was in once, we were doing searches before departures, we even said this over the comms
Yet people just run in and right at the flashes
No matter how many times we repeated it
Besides, not wetting the floor is like not leaving bananas around as a clown or placing down invis walls as a mime. Why play Janitor otherwise?

On SS13 you can leave a pill down marked "DEATH PILL (Do Not Eat)" and people will still eat it and die... the only place that does NOT do this is goon because round start death floor pills have been a thing for years.
Reminds me of the time I got tator clown... I grew bananas and injected them with a myriad of poisons from the traitor poison kit.
I went around handing out free bananas to every one, the station began as "BEST CLOWN!" "I love you clown!" and other such praise. It took a few moments for them to die and get cloned and then it was suddenly "KILL THAT CLOWN!" "KILLER BANANAS!" "TRAITOR POISONS!"
shits funny.

Random suspicious pills are a fun gamble to take when the round isn't going great

I dunno. Sometimes the players are pretty great.
Last night a mothman made a me a shitload of meth. So I went around flashing people and forcefeeding it to them while stapling their face.
Eventually a holoparasite came out of one of them so me and an assistant killed the fuck out of him. The anger was delicious. Was like five mins into the round.
It depends on when you play Hippie
Around certain times Hippie is the worst place to be

The mech was later defeated by a clown.
i remember i once found a pill on the groud called 'x ray vision', i ate it and got turned into a monkey

Looks more like typical elemental weaknesses at play. Clown>Mech>Assistant>Clown
