I started out as chef on Paradise Station, heated up dough and 4 buns came out. This also happened with the microwaves. Someone said a person upgraded the machines in the kitchen. What job and how did they do that? I never new something like that could happen.
Science can research better machine parts
Snip Figured it out.

At roundstart there are two high power microlasers in tech storage, ask the AI or an engineer nicely and they tend to let you go get them. Screwdriver and crowbar your microwaves to take them apart and throw away the plebian normal micro lasers, put the circuit board back into the machine frames and re add all the parts that fell out, including the bits of wire. Screwdriver the machines to re assemble them as microwaves. With JUST a high power micro laser any recipe you make returns double the products. With an ultra high power micro laser you get triple and with a quad ultra you get four times. This all sounds very neat, but if you make toasted sandwiches the station will NEVER go hungry even if the round lasts six hours. If you put a slab of meat, 1u pepper and 1u salt into the microwave you get a steak. with your upgrades this means two steaks. If you put two slices of bread, one wedge of cheese and a steak into the microwave you get a sandwich, or in this case two sandwiches per slice of steak (you now have four items of food from a single slab of meat) if you put a sandwich BACK into the microwave it becomes a toasted cheese sandwich, or in this case, somehow magically TWO sandwiches. From a single slab of meat you have 8 food items, if botany makes you some wheat you have infinite flour and you can milk pete for infinite milk and thus cheese. Now what if science gives you a high power microlaser? from a single slab of meat you could produce 27 toasted sandwiches. If by some miracle science gets quad ultra microlasers and doesn't get murdered before upgrading your microwave you could produce 64 toasted sandwiches from a single slab of meat. And you start with about six slabs of meat in the fridge meaning a total of 384 toasted sandwiches before EVER needing to butcher a monkey or a dead body.

I had a tray with normal matter bins and another with Super Matter bins. I didn't notice a difference in plant growth or anything.
did paradise ever get rid of the fox race?
No its still there. I started on SS13 a couple days ago so far I have played Botanist,Librarian,Janitor, and chef.I really need to learn the more complex stuff like plant modifying and actually cooking and plating food the only reason no one noticed I sucked as chef was the nuke got set off 5 minutes in. Paradise is probably the best station ive tried so far,
For the love of fuck, don't let the new host be a person with an anime avatar and a protective disposition towards a cam slut that tried to fuck her way to get her non-video game zip of html files that shits on legitimate mental illness released on Steam and given good reviews despite being an absolute pile of CRAP. If so you might as well go play on Baystation because the administration is going to get just as shit and draconian then. We need to gas the roleplayers.
What?
Relating to Zoe Quinn. Chose a host and headmin that is known for a relaxed attitude towards griff and fun and has absolutely no connection to creepy fetish stations or roleplay in general at all.
What has Zoe Quinn got to do with the farting spaceman game?
The type of people that believe this cunt also happens to be the type of people who jerk it off to farting spaceman text and host servers with draconian moderation.

Paradise is probably the best station ive tried so far,
It depends what you feed to the plants, I'm not sure which of the feed do it but each of them does something like this: 1) The first feed just provides full feed, but doesn't really increase potency, in fact it might decrease it if I remember correctly. 2) The second feed provides a decent feed (around 3 - 4 per 5 units) and slowly increases the plants potency. If you make a plant and feed it nothing but the second feed, then its off springs will have increased potency for each generation. 3) The third feed has a minor chance of mutating your plant, not sure if it does anything else. Highlight of this all is Unstable Mutagen. It's a special chemical (which shouldn't be hard to make) that you can ask the Chemist give you, then apply 1 unit of it (with eye drops) to a plant to see if it will mutate (it has a higher chance than the 3rd feed). Depending on how much toxicity, parasites or weeds is in the plant, or potency or age, it might mutate to something specific. Check the botany page of your server if it has a wiki or ask the admins. Unstable Mutagen is a bad idea to give out though, because small doses can fuck with your genetic structure so bad you might become blind, deaf, mute, unable to move, or worse. It's also incredibly toxic and the person usually dies very quickly unless there's anti-toxin somewhere close. Don't be surprised if the Chemist says no.
ignore nevergowest he's not all that good up there
Scivirino surfaced again recently on /vg/ on an alt, only to get immediately permabant. :smug:
Scivirino? Now that's a name I haven't heard in forever.
Hippies dead i guess, added bunch of changes noone asked for when they switched host. I went from nox to hippie but donno where to migrate now
Hippies dead i guess, added bunch of changes noone asked for when they switched host. I went from nox to hippie but donno where to migrate now
Hippie had been planning a rebase to modern TG-code for about six months now but nobody fuckin' worked on it after the first couple of weeks or so, it just so happened that it got done at the time the host changed, and also just so happened to have a load of day 1 issues that nobody caught for some reason.
Hippies dead i guess, added bunch of changes noone asked for when they switched host. I went from nox to hippie but donno where to migrate now
Rebase had been in the line and was talked about for ages, as I tell everyone every single time you can just GO to the github and file an issue about something wrong/missing from old hippie/broken. Worst case scenario, you get a "yeah we know", or you might point out something people missed and the coders be all like "aww snap didn't know that!" and you can feel a little smug about how you made a meagre contribution to the farting spaceman game that nobody besides a select few here has heard of.

Hey - I'm the new host of Hippie Station, I want to take community feedback more seriously and your opinions are important to us. We're not planning on going anyway. Regarding the rebase, it was a major fuck up to release it this early, I had no input on the rebase as I wasn't part of the team during it, we're working on a new rebase now, merging our core features into the current version of /tg/ code. I think many of the issues with the rebase was due to the lack of playtesting it received, it was hardly ever tested.

You have a hell of a legacy to live up to but I'm sure with some elbow grease, actually listening to feedback and good admins you guys will be able to bring it somewhere.
Have you tried goon?
I was avoiding it because of the super sikrit recipes that only special snowflakes know and if they get leaked they get changed stuff.
I was avoiding it because of the super sikrit recipes that only special snowflakes know and if they get leaked they get changed stuff.
I got hung up on that at first too but really they're not important at all if you just want to faff about, plus they got some great admins. You won't get boinked unless you're being a REAL shitlord but they actively encourage experimentation.

That's a lot of time just thrown out.
I wish we could go back to the old hippie with the less meme community. That's ironic coming from me but y'know. I wish we had more of a balance instead of just bad memes. I wonder if facepunch station's ruleset would work?
Keep firing pins, let me know if you need help removing cat garbage I hate it too
