i've been reading quite a bit on how to construct everything i need and sever AI access to things so i think i might break away from the fascist station state once i am comfortable enough with the techniques. until then i'll just make blackmarket grenades in the bathroom and sell them to whoever passes by

Well mining is a part of cargo, so you'll have all the things you need to create a utopian breakaway from the station.
Even better if you can convince engineering to join you. (It doesn't take much, engineers are usually inclined to make some hairbrained idea become reality unless the station is exploding, like setting up a sing in perma.)

Reminds me of the time I got a miscreant objective on goon to enforce as much obstructive bureaucracy as possible.
I set up a checkpoint by arrivals and made ANYONE who wanted to come by to sign their name, their job and the time they passed by. This included people I had just let past to go grab some tools or something.
The admins even put a holy light sprite over the checkpoint, gave me a uniform and infinite pens and paper, alonjg with medical supplies for when people tried to kill me. I got an antag token for my paperworking efforts.
