did you put down your sign there's nothing better as a janitor than watching people slip up and down the halls and just silently pointing at your wet floor sign and mopping their horizontal sprite because their skull is bleeding after slipping at mach 10 into a wall
Yeah I did. I was giggling like a schoolgirl the whole time until someone got genuinely pissed.
Yeah I did. Do they still have that immortality artifact on goon? I fucking loved getting spaced by the traitor/syndicate/whatever and then watch his reaction when I managed to climb back onboard the station and hit him over the head with a toolbox.
maybe i'm on the wrong servers but the most complex thing that ever happens in the game is someone grabbing you and ripping a damaging fart in your face
what servers you find yourself playing on?
ok so this is my 1st time as a rogue AI, i barely know how to play and I get this goal it's like " how the fuck do I do this? how do I keep someone alive but cause an evacuation but allow me to escape?" but i did it it was straight out of a fucking movie too It was a 2 hour long session. I was spending 50% of my time stalking Lindsie because I feared that there would be another traitor putting her at risk, 10% of the time I was reading the wiki on what power I had, and 40% of the time trying to think of a way I can fulfill all objectives. At the last 10 minutes they finished building a DNA collector and apparently that was the objective for them. I started hacking APCs for powers because I learned about it on the wiki. I was planning on cutting communications to the communication servers (something I just learned) hoping it would hinder the ability to call a transport but then the evac was called before I could really do anything and I was like "Um hey guys can you rescue me?" so then I was transferred to a remote drive and I was pretty fucked in terms of what I could do. So there I was, being carried in a device held by some random guy, who was following the person I was supposed to be protecting but preventing from leaving the station. They were so cocksure of a victory that they actually had several crates of cigars ready at the exit. I panic bought a bunch of malfunctions since the evac was going to leave in 2 minutes. I thought "Oh well I might as well try and keep 2 of my objectives" and blew up the shuttle's computers using Machine overload. Turns out that worked. Bunch of people died a brutal death. Glass shards everywhere, bunch of people sucked into the void but a few people survived and among them was the guy that rescued me and the woman I was supposed to protect. They went inside the station, but I honestly don't know what the hell happened next. I used Hostile Station Lockdown and then the guy carrying me was blasted out into the void and my target I honestly have no clue what happened to the woman I was supposed to save. But there I was, drifting in space, immune to the void as I am only metal and machine, listening to the generous human suffocating to death. I completed my objectives. I fulfilled my purpose. I came out alive, I kept Lindsie alive but left to suffer on the space station.
what servers you find yourself playing on?
the [del]vore server[/del] hippie server
Been a while since I did one of these

Dumb question, but how do you turn off the turrets in the AI Upload Room? I'm toggling off the buttons on that switch in the red square but it doesn't work.

The AI in particular actually has a hotkey they can use to just flick it right back on with a single click in some servers. I know it's possible in Hippie from last I played in it, anyways.

[editline]16th August 2017[/editline] there were two mothmen rpers as captain roles, they were both gangmembers one of them broke into my ai chambers and I locked everything done. the mothman captain was bitching at me saying that im ignoring my rules.
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. 2. A robot must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. 3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
mothmen aren't human so i didn't have to take orders from them, so i just kept him permastunned with no one to help him
so i kinda fucked up as a nuke ops and killed me and the four other ops on the shuttle because i misclicked my suit storage. i posted 2nd image /vg/ having free rpgs was a mistake and i'm retarded
Someone uploaded these laws. [t]http://i.imgur.com/vPcpcuT.png[/t] Was immediately killed after. I couldn't say anything about the breaking in because that would mean me snitching.
So I'm on this heavy-roleplay server, heavy roleplay lasts for like 3 hours and allows me to learn the mechanics easier as roles like roboticist and really anything to do with crafting. I mean it's some pretty crazy shit for all the wrong reasons since there are 0 traitors or anything, the stuff is crazy in the rp. I had this other assistant, we learned how to make robots together which was pretty neat there was an outbreak of spiders that got him riled up. I couldn't tell if he was roleplaying or not but the craziest thing happened. He got a steel axe from who the fuck knows where and confronted the xenobiologist. At the time I didn't know he had a steel axe because the game is in 200x200 resolution but he blocked the woman from leaving, causing her to use a robot flashbang part and suddenly he just started swinging at her. Furry husky security guard tackleglomped him and I haven't seen him for like 30 minutes until the "Okay the admins are bored" shuttle. [t]http://i.imgur.com/c3DJLfv.png[/t]
Anyone here liked or likes TGStation's shit? It's been ages since I've played and I heard there's a devil gamemode, what's that like?
Anyone here liked or likes TGStation's shit? But usualy it boils down to the devil popping up right next to you and asking "Hey kid! Want hulk?" and the swarms of greytiding hulks are a bigger threat than any devil could ever be.

Did TGStation have multiple station levels? Like with stairs and such?
Did TGStation have multiple station levels? Like with stairs and such?
Nah thats a baycode thing.
Ancient Bay, mind you. Back when it was based on a Goon leak and closed source.
Is there a big list of "Things to do as clown" ideas for those creatively challenged? Most of the stuff I've done seems really vanilla, most creative thing I did was send dickpics to everyone on the station, only got 1 reaction and that was an unironic rp request in ooc.
try harrassing only black crewmembers
but roleplaying is doing something you don't normally do [editline]4[/editline] Most people who play seem to be white which only leaves me like 3 people. Usually when I play I just treat security like shit because 99% of the time they don't have anything to do anyways.

I can't find a guide on how to make grenades so I haven't touched that. I'm still learning the game by going on RP servers for 2 hour long sessions so I get the hang of a job but the consequence of that is you have to deal with RP. And I'm not talking about how weird RP is or anything, I'm talking about the terrible elements of RP that cause people to think and act irrationally when they think they're acting rationally. For example, 6 of us were stuck in a room with 1 spider so as a roboticist I pulled out the surgical saw and ripped it to shreds. Admins indirectly gave me shit for doing that (they complained in ooc about it, not to me) which made my eyes roll out of my head. However I highly recommend playing on RP servers as a clown. In other servers they'll space you for drawing rune dicks in the chapel but on RP servers SEC give you a 1 minute timeout. Another benefit is that you cannot get harmed unless you cause actual harm so in a lot of cases you'll end up getting someone banned if you break their spirit and cause them to attack you.
If anyone reading is a developer for an SS13 server or are interested in developing for SS13 and have a programming background, but hate the BYOND scripting language: If you could use ANY other language to write SS13 scripts and objects with, rate Zing if you would prefer Lua, Informative if you would prefer C#, or reply below if you have a different idea.
