on /vg/station the other day the captain was holding a science fair, with CentComm even participating by sending a Custodian of Prizes to award the first, second, and third place winners. there were several different entries which sadly i did not get to see, partially because i was working on my own and partially because the first science experiment shown was a welderbomb which had taken out several other entrants and caused a delay in the fair. i ended up being able to participate but not eligible for a prize due to my late entry. after the fair got up and running and the few remaining entrants showed off their experiments, i ran into the holodeck which is where the fair was being held and shouted at people to follow me to my experiment. the captain, the Custodian of Prizes, a few borgs and some of the other entrants followed. for my entry, i had converted the vacant office next to arrivals on Boxstation into a Suicide Room, basically by filling the thing with an array of emitters and prisms with the main beam aimed at the entry airlock. the airlock blocked the beam from escaping, even if it was open, so my idea was if someone wanted to instantly husk themselves they could open the door and walk into the beam. a dutiful borg walked into the beam to demonstrate its killing power and was fried on contact. we pulled the borg's destroyed hull out of the beam, and all hell broke loose. it seems that entering the beam with the airlock open released it, and in the confusion, before i was able to activate the emergency shut off consisting of pushing a vending machine into the path of the beam, another borg was toasted along with the Custodian of Prizes. CentComm didn't like that their official was killed but i got off lucky as his death was ruled a suicide and not wild negligence on my part. in retaliation, CentComm activated the explosives they had placed in the custodian and in his locked suitcase full of prizes, which blew a hole below arrivals, near where the Vox trade ship docks. despite the death and destruction my device had caused, i felt good in knowing that i was finally able to use my experience in building death beams to good use, or at least better use than redirecting them down main hallways and laughing at people who run into them.

The "Big ick ock" was after the wizards had been killed and the round ended. Also, I didn't log out, I continued to argue and sarcastically said that they might as well ban me from everything and they took that as the okay to do so. I have no intention of appealing, since I never should have been bwoinked for something that was an IC issue in the first place.

I had the same problem, I panicked and did all of these. It helped.

Just realized I've been playing this game off and on for nearly 7 years. I really need to get back into playing it, it's easily one of my favorite games of all time. I just don't like getting used to all the new station layouts. I have classic Goon maps like doughnut station v2 memorized even after they've been retired for 5 years. What servers are good nowadays for US?

Hippie is what happens when you put goon and /tg/ in a blender and yell racial slurs into it as loud as you can while its running. Bay now has this system where the station is now a ship and can jump from sector to sector. FTLstation is tg but with something similar to the aforementioned baystation system. Colonial marines is for shooting the lads, but make sure you shoot the lads in the right way as the admins are supposedly uppity about what good roleplay is on a medium roleplay server.
