Problem with them was the bleeding was massive, from having more than one embedded and trying to pull one out would crit you.
I accidentally killed someone with a pen once by slipping them with a banana while they were at like 3 health, while carrying said pen in their hand. It embedded itself on their head. I've been meaning to draw a comic about it.

I recently overheard a discussion on Hippies that they had Blob as a gamemode removed from their (Hippie's, still) circulation.
I really hope that the Changeling gamemode is next up.
Malf AI is actually one of the more fun gamemodes to me, because it forces the crew to work together to deal with a threat within a time limit. Sure, there's probably a cheap strategy here or there for both sides, but it's still pretty fun. Although I can't play malf AI for shit.

They can't, actually, unless things have changed since the round I got screwed over by Murmic. I got husked by him, and it explicitly said I couldn't regenerate because I had no forms to assume.

I remember there were several incidents last week where husked lings came back to life for some reason, I suppose it must have gotten a hotfix when I was taking a break from spess
Man, there was this really intense round on Hippie - Nuke ops announced war, HoS announcing a conscription service, everyone getting armed. People getting borged so that they can serve the station better. War came and swept through the corridors, Men at Arms defending their home.
Meanwhile me (Doctor), an engineer, the clown and the librarian just walled off the top part of the library and spent the entire round playing ~Space DnD~.
I was Dorko, the Medical Space Dorf with the worst stats of the group.
There was also the Clown's character - A Mollusk, who used a slings to shoot his penis knife at foes.
And last but not least, the Space Scientist who just rolled insanely high on everything somehow.
By the time we were done setting up characters, rolling for stats and choosing starting items the Poop OPS had failed. The only actual role-playing we got done was to try to seduce a roboticist with our mollusk character which failed miserably, at which point the scientist tried talking to the bartender and managed to propel himself into space by using his C4 like a dumbass.
And so the 'autist club @ library' was formed.
I'm unsure if I'm either more vigilant on Hippie's or the player base has become more toxic in a way. Since I had to ahelp more than once this week:
- A random station engineer takes off my hardsuit whilst we try to suicide by hanging ourselves in a medbay full of infected (because Virology being full of dorks, as usual), until I realize that I was playing as a skeleton and cannot be strangled. I try to retrieve back the suit since I found it. He kills me over it. I think it was no big deal until I notice he hits a chef, with obvious intent to harm. I ahelp it, case closed.
- During a "changeling and Malf AI" round, I get randomly shot and killed by someone whilst I loot a long dead clown. I ahelp it to make sure it wasn't some shitler. Turns out he wasn't an antag, judging from how the admins responded to it.
- Later during same round. I get borged. I go out to hunt for blue-screened APCs to erase off the remains of the AI. Someone with all-access with a antique laser gun and EVA suit without any warning walks up to me and destroys me. Without bothering to tell anyone if they had destroyed a borg and just walked away. Despite I told everyone on commons channel that I found a blue-apc at <location>. Whether was this my fault or not. But indeed did this boil my blood. I choose not to ahelp it, because the "shot first, ask questions never" is a completely okay mentality.
- A round I recently played, Virology was once again filled by players who decided to pretend to be antags and released several pathogens. Causing the crew go amok and raid and destroy the entire medbay. And I sit there and try to cook together some cure, until a bartender randomly walks up to and disarms me, yanking out my beakers from my hands. So I do yank them back. Then I tell him to stop it. But continues to escalate the situation and I get fed by his attempts to harm to me and attempts to grab me. After a while, things calm down. I walk back inside and hope we could forgive each other. But nope. Same shit until he ultimately beat me to crit and intentionally left me to die in a lobby full of sick braindeads. Of course I did ahelp it. Bartender takes me to cyro and pleads for forgiveness, so do I forgive him by pretending everything didn't happen. But he is already braindead.
Either that way. Or that this game has transformed me to a short-tempered edgelord who act like a pre-puberty teenager playing CoD, with Stockholm syndrome.

Hippie has always been kinda toxic. My player character was black for a bit, and there would always be one or two people who would follow me around the whole round harassing me by calling me slurs or attacking me unprovoked, and when I Ahelped about it they would say it's a IC issue despite it being the same few people round after round.

Also another time the CE kept me stunlocked with a retractable baton because he wanted to get ahead of me in the HoP line because he wanted to get all access. I guess this encouraged other people to start beating me cause 3 other people started kicking me and put me in crit for no exact reason. The very next round the RD kept fucking with me for no reason and kept me bucklecuffed in the bridge for no reason, I Ahelped both and both were called "IC issues.". It seems that is the go-to term for admins who don't want to do their jobs correctly.

Why should I be punished for making my character look the way I want? I understand the whole cat abuse thing cause it's a community joke but the logic of "if you don't want to be griefed don't be black!!!!!" thing is kind of dumb, and the other stuff that happened was with my current character, who isn't black.
I really feel like racism shouldn't be OK on Hippie, I understand that it's supposed to be a relaxed server rule-wise, but being constantly harassed for no reason other than the fact that your character isn't white is kinda shit. It also works on the flipside because people make characters named like "Tyrone Biggums" or some dumb shit like that and act like a stereotype for the sole purpose of being an asshole to other players.
Racism isn't alright, but it's a really deeply ingrained behaviour in SS13. The colour of your character affects your gameplay 0%. What does it matter? Your entire argument is a non-issue. Acting all offended isn't going to change the mentalities of all those dumbasses on Hippy station bud.
PS: I've been a black character loads of times and have rarely been griefed as a result. You probably just come across as whingy in SS13 as you do in your posts. Next time someone follows you around and calls you racial slurs, instead of admin helping it, turn around and bash their brains in with a toolbox.

If you are being consistently griefed for your colour it's definitely not an IC issue at that point.

Recently I witnessed someone RDM the lawyer and calling out him as a "Jew bitch" and continued to spew unintelligent slurs whilst throwing EMP-nades everywhere on the escape shuttle.
