Yeah I ain't got the patience for this worth shit, 20 minutes of walking around because everything is locked and I'm miles away from anywhere.
Welcome to the war buddy. Jk you should just wait for a transport truck.
Yeah I ain't got the patience for this worth shit, 20 minutes of walking around because everything is locked and I'm miles away from anywhere.
Foxhole is all about communication, you have to ask your team to figure out where the front is and try to catch a ride on a truck heading up there. Best thing to do if there don't seem to be any trucks is to just start walking and eventually one will drive by you, most logistics drivers will let you thumb with them. Once you get to the front you can set your spawnpoint at a control point (town hall, outpost or barrack).
Imo, there should be some kind of notifications where the frontline is or atleast have a general or something be able to draw on the map, Also some kind of "low supply" notification on stuff if you have a radio as a logi, very hard to know what is lacking and you have to get out of your truck all the time, atleast make it so that you are able to see inventory etc when you are parked outside

I've been playing Foxhole a week and am thoroughly enjoying myself. I'm dedicated to logi at this point, and can often be found building defences. If enough FPers are up for it, I'd love to see a FP clan/squad.
Enjoying the game so far but for some reason I can't hear voice chat and it takes away a big chunk of the game - I see the icon but hear nothing. The long queue timers are pretty annoying too.

Tried to join back on able 3, but I wasn't about that 108 person queue. Instead, hopped Able 2 and ran with the Wardens. After making a 5 hour run RPing as a German medic, shouting at people for dirtying their uniforms or not running away from grenades, I can only hope that there'll be more embellishments on the medical roles. Would love to be able to drag people away from combat, rather than stand right where they were shot.
I'd buy the game and join up with a FP thing but everytime i try to join a FP thing for other shit it doesnt really go anywhere :v: [editline]1st August 2017[/editline] I played a good amount of running with rifles which seems similar
I think I spend more time ferrying dropped ammo and weapons than I do shooting at people. I can understand why people would ignore weapons we already have a huge stockpile of but people are screaming for specific ammo while there are dozens of backpacks on the ground with said ammo in them.
Last I played this game, I asked a guy for a ride while standing next to a road, he accidentally ran me over and called me an idiot for dying. It was daytime and I was standing still. It's a fun and unique, but it's honestly best with squads.

I think it's part of the game's logistics to figure out where the frontline is. Plus, don't watchtower send notification of enemy positions to soldiers with radios?
I would assume the intention is to encourage players to communicate, though being able to compile some sort of logistics report would probably be nice.
Maybe someone can create a Discord for starters?
Can't knock it till we try it. [FP] Foxhole Discord: https://discord.gg/88RGSGW I created a discord server. It's basic for now, however I'll hop in every evening (EST) when I play. I hope other FPers will join me so we can play together. I'll add how-to guides and tutorials soon with the advice of everyone.
Fuck yall making me want this
Had a few decent games with random pubbies in the official Foxhole discord, adds an entire new level to the game when you're organised in a squad and not just lone-wolfing.
you motherfuckers reading this thread is like crack driving lil trucks around giving ammo to people is my shit
don't fall for it, man. you drive lil trucks around and spend minutes at a time clicking shit and waiting for shit to finish crafting, before driving it further down the road to repeat the same thing. like you can't even stockpile ready-made weapons. you hand deliver it and then whoever wants it gotta sit and spend 5 mins crafting it themselves.
Yesterday I committed my first war crime. I was a truck driver when after delivering a load to one of the hotspots my truck was disabled by enemy fire and I had to get out and fire back at the attackers with my revolver. After some of my squad mates helped me to kill them, two unarmed Wardens came out from the bushes and said that they surrender (they ran out of ammunition). They got into my truck at a gunpoint, we drove them to the nearest FOB , lined them against the wall and then me and some other people shot them. War is hell.
This game is really fun. I just learned you can hear the enemy's voice chatter if you're close enough. Was hilarious to hearing them trying to look for me. I also really like how you have to build up for the first few days before any battles take place.
Refunded a steam game so I'll be able to purchase this game within the next 24 hours! Can't wait to try it out, looks fun if you have some people to co-op with
I do wish the game wouldn't let people join one side if the sides are too imbalanced. I joined one match that was 8 v 40.

You can turn the tide of a battle with 120 players by participating in the logistics chain. Watching your front advance every time you make a delivery is cool as fuck and your players will love you. If you're just making random bullshit and driving from point A to point B with no interaction with anyone else obviously you're not going to have fun and you're just being a parasite by not giving your boys the supplies they need. For the record, logi can make crates of guns, which contain 10-20 of a given gun, meaning a supply truck can deliver up to 240 guns in one trip. If you're just chucking loose rifles from another FOB in the back it's much less efficient.

Last I checked, we were about to take the whole town.
how many players are normally involved in a single battle?
how many players are normally involved in a single battle?
Most combat is a squad or two v another squad or two AFAIK. Time to kill can be pretty damn long if everyone's dug in. Servers are capped at 100-120, with the big ones being full most of the time.
how many players are normally involved in a single battle?
each game has 80 to 120 players split into two factions, the battles (usually) involve 20-30 people on each side, though it depends heavily on whether the battles are single-front pushes or multiple-front defenses, since a team usually has two or three fronts to defend or attack.
