My current experience in this game. [t]http://puu.sh/x3d0A/b980d0f950.jpg[/t]
dont use the campaign screen, it's just a pseudo server browser that connects you to specific servers just jump into the serb browser
foxholes and wall spamming is beyond irritating [editline]6th August 2017[/editline] [t]http://i.imgur.com/MqvFFOk.jpg[/t] literally all that red is an endless line of wall and foxholes/pillbox/bunker It doesn't help that half the time the foxholes can just start fucking shooting at you before you can even see them.
are there AI controlled defences in this game? because that shit is dumb and shouldn't be in it
yeah, unmanned defenses open fire automatically, so people just spam them and it basically prevents you from pushing unless you have a tonne of fire support. the annoying thing is, the unmanned defenses can see you way before you see them, so you can get shot from off screen before you're even aware they're there.
This game is quickly turning into a tower defense game, they should really tone down the wallbuilding and emplacements
Walls should cost way more in terms of material, so people would only place them where they are really needed, rather than just building Great Wall of Foxhole along every road in the fucking game. Or make it so they can only be build within a certain distance of an FOB/town.

When all it takes is a single jack off with a rifle to cripple your supply line, walls become a necessity in preventing them from getting a shot off.
Walls are fine but they should require players to defend them if they're anywhere near the front. AI defenses should do less damage, be destroyed easier, or be really expensive. It took us like two hours to push up through a little ravine because the enemy managed to shit out two of those anti-tank turrets that automatically blew up any vehicle we moved up before the vehicles could see them.

Imagine you're driving a vehicle through that ravine, you get blown up, and you leave a diddly little message in the chatbox saying "Ravine on B5 has two anti-tank turrets, careful when you take vehicles that way". Realistically, how many people are gonna see it? Probably not many, it's easy to miss if you're already preoccupied or in a fight. If it had VOIP over distance, one squad leader could radio all other squad leaders and warn them. It's faster, easier, and definitely gonna be heard.

yeah its stupid you have to be in a squad in order to put messages on the map

It shouldn't be just completely fucking impossible because every road and every field is covered by a trumpwall with foxholes every 5 metres. Besides you can always build watchtowers so that people can be warned and have a group of guys go out to hunt the enemy down.

I wouldn't mind seeing an armored logistics truck being a later tech unlock, since there's currently no role for armored transportation.
i think it's kinda dumb how weak the current trucks are anyway, i mean like 3 rifle shots will disable one
i think it's kinda dumb how weak the current trucks are anyway, i mean like 3 rifle shots will disable one
They should have some kind of hitbox, 3 shots to the engine is okay imo, but to the back it's stupid
Ad-hoc raid that ended pretty predictably on Baker-1: [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/rzxtqv.webm[/vid]
Just played on Able3 briefly as Wardens. I love how bush gorilla warfare is absolutely hilariously broken. You can't even see if somebody is right in front of you or not, I accidentally killed 2 teammates to blind fire because there was a whole squad of colonials in that bush area and literally nobody was sure who was who. :v:
http://www.foxholegame.com/single-post/2017/08/14/Devblog-27 To summarize: - Community Servers (rentals to start, server software for hosting later) - D-Day - Bayonets - New Half-Track models - 140 player servers (+20 slots)
I really hope the half track can transport people at one point. Right now its basically a more mobile field machine gun.
Is this worth picking up now, or waiting to let it dev a bit more first?
ive already had a lot of fun with it. there are things that could be improved/added but whats already there is more than enough playtime for $20
this random guy with an asian name followed me around for about 30 minutes, and when i ran into a foxhole he tried to save me, only to succumb to the foxhole as well [t]http://i.imgur.com/92vMBdP.jpg[/t] [t]http://i.imgur.com/FHR79UA.jpg[/t]

I should give this game another go.
Is this game worth buying, and if so should I wait for a sale? I feel like this is a game where you need a large player base to be good
Is this game worth buying, and if so should I wait for a sale? There's usually at least one server lingering towards 140 players, the max slots for a server (I checked just now and there's one at 136/140 players). There's also a couple around 60-80 slots (so you can join that if things are too hectic with the max amount of players), and another couple around 30 or so. That's during low traffic times, so the server population scales with that ratio although I haven't played for awhile so I'm not too keen on the trends of activity.
I'll pick it up then, we should do a fp squad some time
Is this still worth giving a try?
its only been improved since the start and even then it was pretty great so i would say so i would play more personally but ive wanted to play with other people more than play solo but it never took off on here
