So happy about Monster Hunter World though. All I've ever wanted is a Monster Hunter game on PC that isn't Monster Hunter Online.
Like, Microsoft's conference managed to make the X sound like a worthwhile investment. It may not have had a lot of exclusives but instead it demonstrated a 40+ game catalog and promoted the fact they'd look better and run better than on the competing consoles.
Sony's conference didn't really promote the PS4 a good investment. Rehashed titles slated for a 2018 release or later isn't a good way to make people want your console. The past two E3s were far more convincing for Sony and this one was far more convincing for Microsoft.
And Ubisoft just showed up and took it all for themselves anyway.
I'm surprised that Red Dead Redemption 2 hasn't showed up at all this E3.

I'm guessing most of the big stuff that people want was just not ready for this year (TLOU II, a From game, Death Stranding, etc.). Guess we can look forward to next year's Sony showcase(?).
I think the problem here compared to some of the presentations I liked more this year is that there just was nothing new. We knew about basically all the big things that were shown, so there was no way to build surprise hype and a suspense. For example, Microsoft led with Metro Exodus which no one knew was coming. Sony led with Uncharted, which is both something that everyone is used to already and we already knew about from last year.
Also, did the old Spiderman's have a lot of quick time events? I remember seeing funny clips with them in it.

Days Gone looks sick, Uncharted looks sick, Monster Hunter World looks phenomenal, and there were many new titles that look promising. Shadow of the Colossus remaster looks great too.
At least Sony was trailer after trailer and wasn't a sales pitch like PC gaming show or a snoozefest like Microsoft and EA.

I'm glad Sony didn't treat the audience like idiots and just had games without any filler or bullshit. Just wish they had more to show.

People are gonna call it flaccid which is sad to me but the Spider-man trailer was the most exciting thing for me.
I've been dreaming of a good Spider-Man game for years, his veritable Arkham Asylum. It's finally coming.
There's a lot of QTE's in the trailer but that's frankly always the case in these kind of reveals. What's important was the other stuff they showed, like the more involved areas, the traps, the classic style webswinging that everyone's wanted to return, the better combat (It's a lot like Arkham but it has a lot more enviornmental stuff it seems), some fantastic characters that I loved liked Mr. Sinister, Miles Moralez, and the Kingpin.
Sony didn't drop any major bombshells (at least ones that went out of things that appeal to me), but they showed the most games that looked good imo. And with Spider-man they won me completely.
Huh that Call of Duty trailer was Multiplayer.
I thought it was SP.
